We have a specific vision for our platform that requires development across multiple phases. We have documented specific features that we want to build as part of phase 1, with a core focus on Mobile App Development across Android and iOS platforms, alongside building backend services in the Cloud.
We are working with Techugo to deliver Phase 1 of the project. We have plans of working with them for further development.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?
I have previously interacted with Techugo for a different project a couple of years back. Although our engagement was brief, the team left a great impression, so it was an easy decision to work with them again.
Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.
Techugo conducted several workshops with me and the UI/UX, designers, and other team members for knowledge transfer and for understanding our requirements. At the end of this engagement, a user journey document, wireframes, graphics, and a high-level solution design document were delivered.
In terms of development, the first phase requires the development of mobile apps across Android and iOS with the backend built in the Cloud. This first phase is well on track for completion within the project timelines.
How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?
I mostly interact with the Project Manager and she is the main point of contact for me. I have had occasional technical meetings with the developers.
In terms of team structure, there is a dedicated team working in the background such as PM, Business Analyst(s), Developers, Tester(s).
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?
Before development, user journey mapping, wireframes, graphics, and high-level solution design documents were delivered. In terms of app development, Techugo has broken the delivery across four milestones.
The team shares a weekly progress update via email and provides us with the working artifacts that we can test at the end of the milestones. This works well for us.
Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.
The team is very flexible and happy to jump on a call when needed. We originally communicated via email, but over time, we are communicating more through What's App to get faster responses. Since this is a fixed-cost project (at least for this phase), the team is adhering to a waterfall methodology but is very accommodating of any last minutes requests.
What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The team follows SDLC - from requirements gathering to designs, implementation, testing, delivery, etc.

They have done an amazing job, so this is always a trick question. There are things that we can all improve on, but nothing major stands out.
Eventually, I would like to build a closer relationship with everyone working on the project (including people working in the background). This might be something I can request in future phases.

Introduce your business and what you do there.
I’m the CEO of Marfil Technology, a startup in the area of technical innovation that focuses on sports and music.
OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE
What challenge were you trying to address with Techugo?
We needed help with app development.
SOLUTION
What was the scope of their involvement?
We started our collaboration with Techugo for the frontend development of a sports-related mobile app. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we had some changes and have started a second project with Techugo that involves frontend development, and the development of a website for a music project called Follow the Notes — these applications are available for both iOS and Android markets.
We had also tasked them with some marketing but we decided that it would be better to have that done in my country instead of with a vendor from India.
What is the team composition?
Around 5–6 people are involved in this project. There’s a project manager and the rest are involved with the logic and the UI of the app.
How did you come to work with Techugo?
When I started off with the first project, I searched online and scouted several companies. In the end, I had the impression that Techugo could provide a good experience — they also showed me examples of their work and had a proven combination of quality and experience, as well as great prices.
How much have you invested with them?
Until now, we’ve spent around €30,000 EUR (around $35,000 USD more or less).
What is the status of this engagement?
The second project with Techugo started about a year ago, in April 2020. The first project is at another part of its roadmap, and we’re just on the second phase of our second project right now. We plan on continuing our collaboration with Techugo for the next two phases.
RESULTS & FEEDBACK
What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?
The project was more complicated than expected, but Techugo faces the challenges really well, and is available to us within three or four hours of contacting them. They don’t give up when technical issues come up, and they always deliver quality work on time — we’ve never had any problems regarding our time difference with them. They’re always available to us and we’re able to enter the field of music which can be quite complicated. They really helped us out and our feedback is positive overall.
How did Techugo perform from a project management standpoint?
There’s a person assigned to assist with managing the project who is really clever. We have a routine video call through Skype almost on a daily basis.
What did you find most impressive about them?
Since this is my first experience with a company like Techugo, I don’t have much to compare them to. However, I think it would be difficult to find another team of programmers that would be so committed to the code and our project as Techugo is — this is the biggest thing I appreciate about them. Other companies may have the same competence and experience, but Techugo never gives up on challenges and is able to communicate any issues the right way.
Are there any areas they could improve?
Our experience has been good. I don’t really see much they need to improve other than maybe their design skills. It’s not that they’re not strong in this regard, but there’s always room to improve.
Do you have any advice for potential customers?
I recommend Techugo to other businesses in this field. They’re professional, technically proficient, and they’re able to guide you through any difficulties that come up. They’re even available to work with you when it’s late in the evening for them. If you ever dream of developing something, you can put it in Techugo’s hands.
