RESULTS & FEEDBACK

The key measurable outcome of the project has been the successful development and launch of Closetly as a fully functioning marketplace platform. Since launch, we have been able to onboard real users, successfully list products, facilitate purchases and sales, and process seller withdrawal requests. This demonstrates that the core end-to-end user journey is operational, from account creation and product listing through to purchasing, selling and receiving funds. The launch has also enabled us to move from theoretical testing into real-world user testing. We are now receiving genuine customer feedback and identifying areas where the user experience, functionality and operational processes can be further improved. Overall, the project has achieved its primary objective of delivering a live, usable MVP that can now be measured, refined and scaled based on actual user behaviour and commercial activity rather than assumptions.

The project took longer to complete than originally anticipated, and there were some delays against the initial timeline. However, throughout the process, the team remained responsive, communicative and available when we needed support. When challenges or issues arose, they were proactive in working with us to find practical solutions and make the necessary adjustments. We particularly appreciated their flexibility and willingness to respond to feedback, troubleshoot issues and continue working with us until a solution was reached.

As with any new platform, we encountered challenges and changes along the way, but they were always willing to listen, adapt and work through issues with us. Hitchhyke operates a technology platform and app that connects riders seeking transportation with drivers heading to similar destinations, facilitating ride-sharing without directly providing transportation services.

What challenge were you trying to address with TechSwivel Private Limited?

I needed TechSwivel Private Limited to build the initial version of the app and platform from scratch.

What was the scope of their involvement?

TechSwivel Private Limited developed the Rider and Driver Apps and Admin Portal. The core features of the Hitchhyke Rider App included trip booking and matching, safety and trust, navigation, payments, notifications and alerts, and profile and history. The Hitchhyke Driver App had features for driver control and flexibility, verification and compliance, trip management, earnings and payments, notifications, and safety and support.

What is the team composition?

The team size varied from 6–10 people.

How did you come to work with TechSwivel Private Limited?

I found TechSwivel Private Limited through their profile on Upwork. I reviewed and interviewed many other firms, and TechSwivel Private Limited stood out for their expertise and straightforward honesty.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from April 2024–May 2025. The original implementation has ended successfully.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The platform has been implemented and is working with minimal issues. However, it’s too early to tell about success metrics because we’ve only just launched two months ago.

How did TechSwivel Private Limited perform from a project management standpoint?

On a relative scale, TechSwivel Private Limited’s project management was excellent. On a non-relative scale, it was very good with room for improvement. Whenever they missed a timeline, they made a concerted effort to own the mistake and resolve it. They worked with us to get the project done within the original time estimate, but due to some reasons, including my own, we were late by a few weeks.

We created a milestone document and deliverables timeline for the project, and then we just kept to that schedule. We primarily communicated via Slack and used email as a secondary option.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I didn’t have to think of everything myself. TechSwivel Private Limited was a trusted advisor that filled in the gaps in my knowledge and thought of edge cases I never considered. They were a proper team.

Are there any areas they could improve?

With full hindsight, I truly believe I got the best outcome from our engagement.

We wanted to get a development of a mobile Application that helps people to easily buy and sell their products, TechSwivel was the best match for the development of our application. We are very much satisfied with the results.

We search for different vendors for the development of eLoumo. We shortlisted some companies and on the basis of interviews, we selected TechSwivel for the Development.

We had some meetings to mature the idea of the application, then we started working on designs and documentations of the application. After that, we started development of android Application along with web-base Admin panel and at the end, our iOS application development was completed.

A project manager and business developer were communicating with me, while 3 developers, one tester was working on our application development.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

After development of one year, We launched the application and get some downloads on the application. It going good. We are investing on marketing too. We are hoping that after two months we will have around 5000+ downloads.

The Business Developer was continuously communicating with me and providing me about the updates of the application. I was Able to see the progress by the builds on App Center and also via Jira. They are fluent in English so we smoothly done the work.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

TechSwivel was very focused on client satisfaction. they just documented everything so that everyone should be on the same page. I like this thing. Also they delivered the work on time.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

They need to work on reports so that we can keep tracking of the timeline sheet.

We selected TechSwivel because they had the knowledge/experience to complete the task at an affordable rate and were willing to be flexible with our development requirements.

We started the project with an idea and worked together with TechSwivel to make it a reality. After initial consult a concept was created, it since then has been updated to fit our desires of what we think consumers will want. We started with just an Android app concept and expanded to iOS. TechSwivel added a administration panel and upgraded app infrastructure along the way, such as changing Andriod from java to kotiln.

We have worked with a few members of TechSwivel but mainly work with the CEO when it comes to updates and changes.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Since our application is in the final stages on development, we cannot provide details on it's successes or failures. We do however believe the app will preform exceptionally well amongst consumers in a competitive field.

TechSwivel provides reasonable timelines on when updates and changes can be completed and has either met or exceeded expectations when it comes to project management.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We found TechSwivel impressed us with their ability to be flexible on what we needed to make our application perform to our standards. Since the type of application we're building is quite complex, we've been impressed with their development skills.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The only thing we could recommend TechSwivel to have changed or change going forward is to provide weekly updates on progress. They tend to provide updates for us once or twice a month, but we know they still accomplish every task we throw at them.
