TechSwivel Private Limited

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I'm the founder of a travel app platform, a social travel platform that connects solo and group travelers through curated travel groups, local experiences, and smart planning tools. We help users meet new companions and book activities all in one app.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What specific goals or objectives did you hire TechSwivel Private Limited to accomplish?

We hired TechSwivel Private Limited to develop a mobile application for our travel social platform.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

TechSwivel Private Limited is responsible for developing the UI, backend, and frontend of our app. They've implemented over 20 different features, including user profiles, social feeds, group travel communities called Troupes, traveler matching, chat and messaging, hotel booking, experiences, TripSplit for shared trip payments, notifications, and account verification. The team also handles the overall integration of these features into the mobile app.

What is the team composition?

We work with 2–5 teammates from TechSwivel Private Limited.

How did you come to work with TechSwivel Private Limited?

We found TechSwivel Private Limited through an online search. We chose them over other options because they have high ratings, their pricing fits our budget, they offer good value for the cost, and their company values align with ours.

How much have you invested with them?

We've spent around $50,000 to $199,999.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with TechSwivel Private Limited in February 2024, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The biggest measurable outcome of our engagement with TechSwivel Private Limited is that we have taken the mobile travel app from concept to a fully launched app on both iOS and Android. Since the launch, we've reached over 2,600 downloads and around 600 registered users. We've also successfully rolled out a large number of core features and continue adding new functionality without having to rebuild the platform from scratch. The app is now live, actively being used, and provides us with a solid foundation to continue growing and testing different monetization strategies.

We're still early in the process, so we're continuing to collect longer-term retention data. However, we've already seen users actively engaging with features like Troupes, Travel Match, chat, and hotel booking. At this stage, our main focus is improving registration-to-engagement conversion and building stronger repeat usage as the user base grows.

We've received positive feedback through the app stores and directly from users, especially regarding the app's ease of navigation and social features like chat and traveler connections that aren't always available in traditional travel apps. We also use user feedback to identify areas for improvement, particularly around simplifying onboarding, increasing engagement after registration, and continuing to improve the booking experience as the platform grows.

How did TechSwivel Private Limited perform from a project management standpoint?

TechSwivel Private Limited's project management has been strong overall. The team is organized, responsive, and flexible as the scope of the app continues to evolve. All major deliverables have been completed within the expected timelines. When delays have come up, the team has communicated them and worked with me to keep things moving. TechSwivel Private Limited has also been willing to adjust priorities quickly as new features and requirements have been introduced.

What did you find most impressive about them?

What impresses me most about TechSwivel Private Limited is their flexibility and willingness to adapt as the travel app continues to evolve. This isn't a simple project with a fixed set of features. The platform has grown significantly over time, and the team has been able to handle new requirements, integrations, and changes without losing sight of the bigger picture. I've also appreciated that they've been willing to work through complex features and help turn a broad vision into a functioning product.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I can't think of anything for TechSwivel Private Limited to improve.

• Build a fully functional App

SOLUTION

Great culture fit

2-5 Employees

To Design and Build a fully functional app from listing items to purchasing and integrating delivery automation and payments.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

The key measurable outcome of the project has been the successful development and launch of Closetly as a fully functioning marketplace platform. Since launch, we have been able to onboard real users, successfully list products, facilitate purchases and sales, and process seller withdrawal requests. This demonstrates that the core end-to-end user journey is operational, from account creation and product listing through to purchasing, selling and receiving funds. The launch has also enabled us to move from theoretical testing into real-world user testing. We are now receiving genuine customer feedback and identifying areas where the user experience, functionality and operational processes can be further improved. Overall, the project has achieved its primary objective of delivering a live, usable MVP that can now be measured, refined and scaled based on actual user behaviour and commercial activity rather than assumptions.

The project took longer to complete than originally anticipated, and there were some delays against the initial timeline. However, throughout the process, the team remained responsive, communicative and available when we needed support. When challenges or issues arose, they were proactive in working with us to find practical solutions and make the necessary adjustments. We particularly appreciated their flexibility and willingness to respond to feedback, troubleshoot issues and continue working with us until a solution was reached.

Virtual Meeting

What stood out most was the team’s responsiveness and genuine commitment to finding solutions. As with any new platform, we encountered challenges and changes along the way, but they were always willing to listen, adapt and work through issues with us. We particularly appreciated their flexibility and ability to understand what we were trying to achieve from a business perspective, rather than simply focusing on the technical development. They felt invested in helping us bring the Closetly concept to life.

Overall, we had a positive experience working with the team. They were responsive, supportive and always willing to listen to our feedback and adapt where needed. We particularly appreciated their solution-focused approach and commitment to delivering a platform that met our needs. We look forward to continuing to work with them as Closetly grows and evolves.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from April 2024–May 2025. The original implementation has ended successfully.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The platform has been implemented and is working with minimal issues. However, it’s too early to tell about success metrics because we’ve only just launched two months ago.

How did TechSwivel Private Limited perform from a project management standpoint?

On a relative scale, TechSwivel Private Limited’s project management was excellent. On a non-relative scale, it was very good with room for improvement. Whenever they missed a timeline, they made a concerted effort to own the mistake and resolve it. They worked with us to get the project done within the original time estimate, but due to some reasons, including my own, we were late by a few weeks.

We created a milestone document and deliverables timeline for the project, and then we just kept to that schedule. We primarily communicated via Slack and used email as a secondary option.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I didn’t have to think of everything myself. TechSwivel Private Limited was a trusted advisor that filled in the gaps in my knowledge and thought of edge cases I never considered. They were a proper team.

Are there any areas they could improve?

With full hindsight, I truly believe I got the best outcome from our engagement.
