We’ve only been with TechHeights for about two months, but the experience has been wonderful. They’re extremely responsive and helpful and can explain IT and cybersecurity matters in a way that I can understand. Due to my experience working with two other previous IT companies, it’s obvious to me that TechHeights excels in their services and employs smart people who know what they’re doing. I’ve gotten more done and felt much more comfortable with our cybersecurity after just two months with TechHeights compared to more than two years with the other companies. For example, the amount of time it takes TechHeights to respond to a support ticket is impeccable. Our email filtering and quarantine service is also much better. My team no longer dreads contacting our IT MSP now that we’re with TechHeights.

The project scope included a full HIPAA compliance audit and remediation roadmap, deployment of Okta for identity and access management across our internal systems, a breach detection and incident response framework, and a disaster recovery plan for our hosting environment. They also took over managed hosting for a subset of our infrastructure that needed to meet stricter compliance standards.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We passed our first HIPAA audit post-engagement with zero major findings, which hadn't happened in the two prior audit cycles. Access-related security incidents dropped to nearly zero in the six months after the Okta rollout, and our mean time to detect and respond to flagged anomalies went from over 24 hours to under 3. Our healthcare clients stopped flagging us in security reviews, which was really the business outcome we were after.

Our engagement ran through biweekly steering calls plus a shared ticketing system for day-to-day items. I was the primary point of contact on our side, working alongside our VP of Engineering. TechHeights assigned us a dedicated compliance lead, a security engineer who handled the Okta implementation, and an incident response specialist who built out our playbooks. They were also good about looping in a senior architect whenever something touched our hosting environment directly, rather than making us ask for escalation.

What impressed me most was how they handled the HIPAA audit prep. They also caught two access control issues during the Okta rollout that our previous vendor had missed entirely. It is rare to find a security partner who pushes back on your assumptions instead of just executing what you ask for.
