Our team looked at the work to be primarily on supplying us with verified developers who could easily fit in our freeway of working on backend and frontend. Techdots provided the developer with the correct technical stack experience to include React, Node.js and AWS. Some of the deliverables were code contribution into our core platform, bug fixing, improved performance and documentation.

The speed with which their developers became productive was also one of the greatest indicators of growth. We completed sprints quicker and we could launch a number of features we previously did not have time to implement. There was less pressure internally and we even breathed some space so that we could also think about innovation instead of merely maintenance and firefighting.

The smoothness in project management was easy and accommodating. They assimilated to our sprinting and operated inside our tools and schedules. Whenever we were changing or requiring some other resources they were very fast in responding and would adapt accordingly without conflict or tension. Something that was often true was good delivery, this has helped us to keep to our release schedule.

The work entailed building, designing, and launching an iOS and Android compatible mobile application. The most significant tasks were UI/UX design, backend integration with our mortgage and legal tech systems, safe user authentication, live syncing of the data, and notifications services, as well as comprehensive QA testing. They offered post launch support and optimisation as well.

The app was published and completely implemented within our platform. It enhanced user collaboration and gave our team and customers the capacity of working together with their mobile devices. The app also eliminated time losses in documentations and enhanced communication among stakeholders.

TechDots created an advanced product search web app for our e-commerce platform. I provided UI designs and required features and they created the full stack application using a Node/Express backend, Next.js/React frontend, Redis, Postgres, and search indexing. 

They also handled deployment and dev ops. The project was data intensive and required pulling in millions of rows of data from many different APIs, normalising the data for fast search speeds, and keeping that data up to date.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project was completed and deployed successfully. It met our goal of providing advanced search capabilities for our millions of products.

We used slack and task management software so I was always aware of where things stood in the project. If they came across issues that would slow them down they were transparent with the problems they were encountering and discussed their plan to overcome them.

When unique and complex technical problems arose they were dedicated to find solid solutions and were willing to re-iterate to get things right. If there was something I wasn't satisfied with, they wouldn't hesitate to meet with me and discuss how to improve it. They also had good suggestions to improve our initial plans.

The project moved a little slower than they initially estimated, but I think that was partly because I wasn't detailed enough about the technical complexities of the project when they started.
