The project is to create a mobile app tailored to premium users in the Middle Eastern market, enabling customers to search and book services for weddings and significant events. The platform supports three user types:

 1. Customers: Accessing iOS/Android apps to search for service providers by category, location, and price, they can book venues, browse packages, and make payments.

 2. Service Providers: Listing and managing services, packages, and bookings through a mobile app and website, they receive payments via the platform.

 3. Admin: Managing the platform through a web portal, overseeing users, bookings, services, analytics, and handling feedback and grievances.

The app will support English and Arabic (default, with RTL orientation) and offers two payment options: full payment or instalment via third-party processors like Tabby.

The project manager's communication was exceptional. They were proactive in addressing queries and provided frequent updates. This responsiveness instilled confidence in the project’s progress and made it easier to collaborate effectively, even when complex issues needed attention. What challenges were you trying to address with techahead?

We needed help with app development for our company to increase sales and brand awareness of our business.

What was the scope of their involvement?

techahead has helped us design and develop our app from scratch based on my ideas and requirements. I’ve relied on their expertise to guide me through the process, which includes developing and launching the product. Regarding technologies, the team is creating the product for iOS and Android platforms.

In addition, the team is providing marketing consulting work collaboratively with our marketing director for the product’s release and will perform maintenance and upgrades for the app.

In terms of the process, they’ve started by providing us with the wireframes’ design and then integrated third-party software into the app, including WhatsApp and Google Maps. The features also include a community network to find friends and share business profiles with others.

What was the team composition? 

We’ve been working with around nine members of techahead’s team, including three business recruiters, Jatin (Project Manager), and a development assistant.

One of my business partners found techahead through a Google search and chose them because they seemed like an effective company.

So far, we’ve invested around $68,000 with them.

We started working together in September 2023, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We haven't launched the app yet, but many people are waiting for the product the techahead team is creating. Overall, techahead's work quality exceeds our expectations in terms of design and graphics.

How did techahead perform from a project management standpoint?

techahead's communication has been great, and the team has stayed on budget and within deadlines. Regarding communication, we have weekly morning meetings, and the team has been very flexible in rescheduling those meetings whenever I need them changed. For tools, we use Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp, and phone calls.

In addition, the team has gone beyond the scope of work, providing efforts that aren't in the initial contacts. Overall, I appreciate that the whole team has shared my vision and provided ideas for new features to exceed my expectations.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review? 

Jatin has been so flexible in working diligently and meticulously in the app while educating me throughout the process.

The early morning meetings and time differences are tough, but I understand they cannot do anything about that.

The Headlyne mobile application is intended to make it easy to stay informed and get inspired by the stories and products that a user likes. It can be used by parents to expose their children to the news (positive only) and make them build a habit of reading news of their choice.

We have the same team that meets every week, and in the last month, twice a week. We met at 8 a.m. PST, that is 8:30 pm in India time, and the team has no problem accommodating us as clients. The project manager even met on the weekend. They also help us who are not familiar with app building at all, in other work that is not in the scope of work such as dealing with Apple app developers and other policies to get the app submitted and teach me to deal with a lot of problem-solving
