Fixing our website was the first goal, as it had plenty of issues due to failed migration to SuiteCommerce. We had to fix the ability for people to purchase online, we lost a good chunk of our SEO, and basically had to rebuild the website to be easier to navigate. The Tavano team got us up and running in order to have an online presence, and from there we started improving the UX based on what our customers need and what they recommended. We worked to improve SEO page by page, improve our blog and specific high traffic/value pages. They offered recommendations for SEO, blog posts, and have been managing our AdWords account as well. We receive monthly updates from them now as we continue to make changes, and are currently looking to add new landing pages for specific product lines and keep improving the site to make it more beneficials for our customers and our company goals.

Improving our SEO metrics (impressions, clicks), seeing orders increase via our webstore, improving traffic to our blogs and overall website, improving the navigation of the website.

Tavano has been beyond exceptional in their timelines and getting back to me. They've also delivered on the results we've expected, or when something isn't exactly what we want they work with us until it's perfect. Their whole team is professional, timely, and smart.

Pia and Natalia have been the two women I have worked closely with on every project, and they are not only fast but accurate - if they don't know, they find out and get back to me quickly. The customer service is excellent. Even though we aren't in the same country, it's almost as fast as going down the hall at the office to ask for help, they are that good. Also they are extremely personable and make it easy to have a business relationship. 10/10.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Truthfully, the most impressive thing is that they are not geographically close but they respond like they are part of my internal team. And that they are so personable. I have better relationships with their team virtually than I do with local vendors, and I trust them to get the job done well. They've also made a huge effort to learn about our niche industry and help us perform in an online space, which can be a challenge for other businesses in our industry.

Our site was a mess after a botched SuiteCommerce launch in February. Tavano helped fix the online store portion, a lot of the site that was messed up, and our SEO that dropped tremendously. They basically came to the rescue after our original team tried to launch with something they didn't know how to use properly, and now we are headed in the right direction! 

The site has improved immensely, and we can attribute around $30,000 in new sales since it was fixed in late March/early April and it's now mid-June. Additionally, they helped us with UX updates to our homepage and navigation to improve the site further since the launch. Overall, they took our site to the next level and helped us get back on track.

1. Having a functional site again 
2. Getting our store into a shoppable place where people could order 
3. Making the store/login a place where our current customers could find value, even if they are not ordering 
4. Making sure our site was searchable on search engines again and recovering our SEO rankings 
5. Improving our site on areas where the previous team failed (homepage, navigation updates, content loss and failure at attention to detail.)
6. Starting to see orders from the online store trickle in

Natalia and Pia have been beyond excellent. I think i have thrown 1,000 items at them and rarely have had to follow up on more than a handful (which is really impressive considering the breadth and depth of some of my asks.) They have been incredibly responsive, jumped on things quickly, and kept track of things between the Trello/Slack/Emails/Calls that I had forgotten about. 

This has been one of the largest projects I have had to tackle single handedly, not to mention one of the most complex and detailed with notes coming from many members of my team while trying to prep for maternity leave. I honestly could not have done it without those two keeping track of everything and helping get things accomplished. They have had superior organization and timeliness and communication throughout this project, and I cannot say enough good things about their work with me. 

Honestly, it's been a breath of fresh air, especially after the failures of our last team we worked with and their lack of project management. We were concerned the site would be unfixable, and Tavano as a whole has been excellent in getting it back to where we wanted and beyond and managing every little detail/problem/question that has come up.

The attention to detail and organization, and speed. I felt heard and like every little thing was followed up on quickly. I also appreciated that they fixed things to the level we needed them and didn't leave things as "good enough." Our company is big on making things the best we can and constantly improving, and we feel our site and shoppable store is at a place of excellence, and we look forward to continued improvements as we grow!

I’m a project manager at a roof-coating manufacturing company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Tavano Team?

We were trying to implement a customer portal.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’re installing a piece of portal software onto our accounting software. Tavano helps us make customizations for the software to work exactly the way we want it to. They’re working on our e-commerce website, so they don’t have to recommend other technologies. They simply help us implement what we already know we want. Apart from that, they’ve created an entire warranty module so that customers can go in and see the progress of their warranty projects. 

The team works mostly on improving the site’s aesthetics. They make a variety of customizations, such as changing the color or size of an item. For instance, instead of displaying 10 different colors for one item in the shop, they turn it into one item with 10 color variations that users can change. They may also change the look of buttons or replace one word with another word with a slightly different meaning.

We’re currently finishing up on the final touches on the portal, and then we’ll move into a support-based relationship with them in the next few weeks. 

What is the team composition?

We work with three people from Tavano, consisting of Francisca (Project Management Officer), a developer, and a designer. 

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested around $75,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in November 2020, and the engagement is ongoing. There’s no specific end date to the partnership.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Tavano moves pretty quickly, and our portal is working very well — our customers are liking it. Whenever we have questions, Francisca answers, and she’s very knowledgeable. Since she’s done this a lot, she can answer questions based on past experiences. If she doesn’t know the answer, she can dig into the problem and figure it out. 

How did Tavano Team perform from a project management standpoint?

They set up a Slack channel and a Trello board to keep track of the tasks. For more detailed tasks, we exchange Google Documents links that can be edited to keep track of what needs to be fixed and what we’re still working on.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Francisca is the best part of working with Tavano. She keeps things smooth and makes sure that we know how to keep the team moving. She also ensures that they keep up with all of our requests and everything that we ask for. When we forget about the requests we make, she’ll remind us. She’s on the ball all the time. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Tavano works in a production environment, and they publish it later on. As a result, some changes made in production don’t carry through to the published environment. Sometimes, changes get published, but if an update comes out, the changes would get disregarded. Overall, we’ve had to do a few things more than once due to such production and publishing environment changes. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Do the planning up front so that you know exactly what you’re getting and to ensure that everybody’s on the same page. In addition, stay in touch with the project manager.

We had numerous issues with Site Builder in Netsuite anywhere from landing pages in the wrong place to credit card processing.They were also able to help with sales tax issues as we have more than one pick up location. There was some custom script work done to fix the issue. The goal was to fix all of these problems and get us to launch.

We were able to successfully launch our website and preform some of the customizations required to meet our goals.

Belen has always been detail and responsive, even with the difficulty and complexity of our requests. Many of the limitations we face were with NetSuite, and not something that Tavano could help with.

I was hired only a few months before we reached out to Tavano, and our SuiteCommerce project was in limbo for almost a year. If it wasn't for Tavano, I don't know where we would be now. We hope that we can rekindle our relationship with NS after the difficulties we face and find a new path forward.

Tavano Team always leads with professionalism and expertise.

The issue we have with Tavano is that we often are able to solve individual problems and implement specific solutions, but we have yet to help accomplishing overall goals. We are in a difficult situation with NS, mostly flying blind, and we rely on Tavano to guide us with what we should be doing. It would be helpful to be consulted with what solutions are working for other B2B customers and be presented with opportunities to do more.
