We hired Taktical Digital to do a rebrand of the company.

When we engaged with Taktical Digital, we were in the process of rebranding our company. Taktical Digital has been involved in the website, messaging, content, SEO, advertising, and business cards. The team has conducted multiple interviews, ideation sessions, and explanations of the business. Taktical Digital has also been involved in refining the messaging and targeting. Additionally, the team has run cold outreach campaigns via email and LinkedIn.

We have a large group of Taktical Digital employees and contractors working on this project. My main point of contact is Sarah. I also interact regularly with Anum, Jason, and Jezmin.

I ran an informal RFP process with multiple firms. After reviewing the firms and their capabilities and speaking with some teams, I decided that Taktical Digital was the group we wanted to use because of their capabilities, roster, and ability to pull in subcontractors when needed and manage them.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Taktical Digital has been very helpful in the website redesign and in creating content that helps us rank better on traditional and AI search engines. We’re very happy with the progress and the work the team has done. We’re going to launch the rebrand in August 2025. The cold outreach campaigns they’ve run have been very successful.

How did Taktical Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

They meet deadlines and stay on budget. We communicate via email and virtual meetings.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Taktical Digital is very good at doing the due diligence on us as customers to ensure that they understand what we do, how we do it, and our value proposition to the market.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Taktical Digital rotates out different team members fairly often, and that can be a little disruptive. It’s manageable, but it's my only constructive feedback.

Spend a lot of time dating Taktical Digital before you make a long-term commitment. Make sure they have the capabilities you need, and where their capabilities run short, so that you can fill in the gaps with other potential services you may need for your company.

 Focus on Long-Term Strategy

While the campaigns were highly effective in the short term, a more detailed roadmap for long-term SEM growth could have been beneficial. For example, incorporating a more robust plan for scaling efforts or integrating SEM with broader digital strategies like organic SEO and social media might have delivered even greater synergy and results. This has been recommended by them in quarterly meet ups and we are yet to commit to a long term plan.

We see really good results, especially in our Meta conversions. During our Labour Day sale, our biggest sale yet, we had a really good ad that generated over 200 conversions.

Our Amazon global listings are now highly optimized thanks to Taktical's expertise. We have succesfully created our A+ and Premium A+ content  and have established a sound Amazon ads strategy. Our Amazon sales are up 20-25%.

Projects are consistently delivered on time and often exceed expectations on professionalism. Our account rep is very knowledgable and very responsive to our needs.

Our Taktical rep is extremely responsive as well as being very familiar with Amazon sales strategy.

We do wish we could establish a retainer/payment model that is more reflective of our performance. We find that the base retainer is high and sometimes difficult to justify given the perfomance of our products on Amazon. This is not reflective of the work that Taktical does for us, but more so the market conditions in our category. We would more easily be able to consider Taktical a "lifelong partner" if our fees were more directly correlated to our sales performance. Having said that, we understand that the challenges we face are external.

Yes. It was outrageously priced at $3500 a month to write 4-6 emails. It didn't really add much to our list and contributed maybe a few thousand in sales and we didn't even get a 50% ROI. Also the email designs didn't look like they were don't by a "professional" I was shocked. I could have done better myself with 10 min of time

As a part of this agreement, Taktical Digital brought in key influencers and overachieved on the overall reach and video views guaranteed as part of this campaign. In addition, Taktical Digital was tasked to create online social-first content highlighting our key campaign (CoCreate) and the sub-campaign (Dream Cart) which performed well on our organic social channels. Lastly, there was an ad hoc request to secure a leading key business influencer, which they brought in at a great cost, delivered a viral piece of content, and did it in a short period of time.

I've appreciated that they are able to collaboratively strategize by supporting us across SEM and SEO. However, this was something that we had to request of their teams, despite us having support from both sides for several years.

Taktical has consistently had errors with attention to detail, resulting in incorrect assets, budgets, and timelines. We have had to advocate and push the team hard to get insights that are relevant to our business and strategy. Our current team has been a significant improvement, but this lack of attention to detail has persisted throughout our entire partnership.
