I am senior managed it at Easypolicy an insurance aggregator in India, based out of Noida, i look after technology operation related to it infrastructure and development

We engaged Sygitech to streamline our It infrastructure, consulting and implementing DevOps best practices, and on going support

What were your goals for this project?

We wanted to consolidate our servers spread across different public and private clouds to one cloud provider. while migrating, we also wanted to upgrade old technology stack to new one, implement high availability architecture and make our product scalable and secure.

How did you select this vendor?

we did some online research and shortlisted 6-7 companies who are into managed it services. we had multiple rounds of meeting with shortlisted companies. discussion was around what they offer, their teams capability, what kind of project they have done. 

we also checked references, and we found sygitech way ahead of other companies in terms of designing solutions, and mean time to resolve the problem, etc

we provided the information about our product and current implementation. Sygitech's team created migration plan and implementation strategy. After few round of discussion project plan was approved by senior management. and execution was very smooth

There were a team of 4 people, one project manager, and other from it infrastructure and devops

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

all of our objectives were achieved: servers migrated to one cloud provider, implementation of load balancer for high availability, proper access policy, and firewall rules to secure the systems and best practices were achieved.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Initially there were some gaps in communication but as project progressed we were in sync. things completed on time, and issues were resolved promptly.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

besides other things related to project management and clear communication, we found that team's technical knowledge and ability to find solutions quickly were very impressive. they have worked with larger infrastructure.

Are there any areas for improvement?

We have not found any such area where we can make some suggestion to improve.

What challenge were you trying to address with Sygitech?

We’re a development company working on a single product. We needed help with our cloud infrastructure.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We hired Sygitech to helps us implement our Google Cloud platform. They’ve helped us complete development operations. We gave them access to our infrastructure, and they worked completely off-site.

They also provided consultation when needed. Previously, we were working on a single VM-based architecture, and we wanted to shift toward a multitenancy module.

What is the team composition?

We worked on a project basis, so we weren’t concerned with how many people were assigned. Aniruddh (Founder and CEO) is our main point of contact.

How did you come to work with Sygitech?

I worked with Aniruddh for another company 7–8 years ago where he was head of technology.

How much have you invested with them?

We invest around $1,000 per month.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with Sygitech in November 2019, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their quality of work is good. We’ve been successfully able to ship to a multitenancy model, which was the objective, and it’s being well taken care of.

How did Sygitech perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management is definitely one of their proficiencies. The communication is primarily through email and a WhatsApp group. We’ve also implemented a ticketing system two weeks ago.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The extent of architectural knowledge that they bring is impressive. That’s their primary differentiator.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Communication is one of the challenges that still exist. I think that the new ticketing tool will definitely help. 

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

There are many options available in the market in terms of development, but one primary reason I’ve gone to Aniruddh is their consulting capabilities.

I’m the CEO of TPE.FYI LLC, a company that builds software platform analytics for the live music industry.

What challenge were you trying to address with Sygitech?

We were looking to have a platform developed for us.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They provided end-to-end service, building the entire UI, managing infrastructure, and setting up Cloud and design. In addition to using APIs to pull music, the team routed through proxy networks using Selenium and amalgamated all the data together.

Ruby and Go were the programming languages used for front- and backend development. The platform was primarily intended for PC use but also has mobile capabilities.

They’ve also helped build an app for one of our clients, using C++ or Objective-C for iOS and Java for Android.

What is the team composition?

My main point of contact was Aniruddh (Founder & CEO). There were some additional Ruby developers, but I don’t know how many people in total worked on our project.

How did you come to work with Sygitech?

They were referred to me by a colleague. I wanted to hire an offshore vendor and they met that criterium.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve invested around $70,000-$80,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in July 2016 and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We are currently in a public beta testing phase with about 20 paying users and the feedback has been pretty good. As is usually the case, people want more, but that’s not to negate the current functionalities or design. In fact, we haven’t found many bugs, which is impressive.

How did Sygitech perform from a project management standpoint?

Aniruddh performs very well. He is easy to communicate with and is very available. We primarily use email and WhatsApp to communicate. For bug tracking and reporting, we use Trello and occasionally spreadsheets. Overall, my experience has been good.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Sygitech is good at understanding how to implement the best technologies and they possess a diverse skill set in terms of what they’re able to build. The quality of their work really stands out. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

Their in-house designer wasn’t so impressive but he is no longer with the company.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I don’t have any specific advice. They’ve been great — definitely better than the four other contract firms I’ve worked with.

Moneygain Consultants is a financial consultancy. We deal in stock markets, mutual funds, and other investment-related products. I’m a director of the company.

What challenge were you trying to address with Sygitech?

We wanted to leverage technology to improve the processes and functioning of the company. We involved Sygitech to design technology solutions for us. They understood our requirements and were able to design useful solutions.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Investments require a lot of data from service providers, which needs to be integrated and presented in a useful format. All of that needs to be supported by a technology infrastructure, which is what Sygitech has built for us. This includes our entire client interface, reporting format, and execution format.

Sygitech helped us design tools, our website, and backend operations software for both internal and external use. They kept us involved, but I’m not aware of the technologies used.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We have a lot of data processes for executing transactions, but we haven’t encountered any bugs, and the speed has gone up tremendously, especially for reporting and processing data.

How did Sygitech perform from a project management standpoint?

It was a bit slow initially, maybe because we weren’t able to explain to them exactly what we needed. There was a lot of back and forth in the beginning, but they were persistent and probed us many times to understand what our requirements were. Once we were able to communicate our requirements in their language, or once they were able to understand us, it started moving very fast. We don’t use any project management software.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I haven’t worked with other IT companies, but I can say that Sygitech is focused on helping us design the right solution. A lot of IT companies are more interested in selling their products, in delivering something and moving on. Sygitech is different.

Secondly, the software they designed for us is future-ready to a great extent. They understood our requirements clearly, which allowed us to reduce our operational costs. They stand out through their ability to understand the client’s requirements and deliver suitable solutions. Also, they’re quite affordable.

Are there any areas they could improve?

The turnaround time on certain aspects could’ve been improved. Things got delayed at certain times, for whatever reason.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

I’d suggest having a conversation, explaining the problem more elaborately, and then letting them figure it out and deliver a solution.

Describe the project in detail.

The project involved planning the entire architecture for Cloud infrastructure. We had detailed meetings with Sygitech where they understood the application architecture & capture our business goals for the next 5 years.

Basis the same, we had a couple of iterations on the plan and then they executed the same. They continue to manage the infra for us even today
