We found them on upwork, and of all applicants they had they offered the best work and the best value.

We first met to go over the high level project requirements. Then the sent me couple questionaires that I filled out to give them a better understanding of what we're trying to achieve with our brand and product to be recieved by our customers. They began providing designs on Figma. The project manager was always available to take and communicate my feedback to the designers, and changes were always made in a timely manner if not in real time.

I worked directly with their project manager and couple of designers.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The feedback on the new branding and designs have been positive and we're a lot more comfortable in our outreach to potential customers.

Extremely effective. I maintain a good relationship with their project manager.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They were often available to make real-time changes, so the design process never stagnated. I could explain what I want and have it appear on the screen before me within minutes.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Honestly no. I was 100% satisfied with their work.

We needed help with UI/UX development for our app.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Sweetcode Lab Inc. creates the user interface and experience for a multiplatform app using Figma. The app is aimed to connect entertainers with users. They started with the UI and continued with the actual development of the backend.

They’re currently taking care of the bugs that have arisen before the app goes live. We have testers that identify the bugs and put them on a list to take care of them.

We’ve been working with 3–4 members of their team, including a designer, a project manager, and a programmer.

I found them through a Google search.

We’ve spent around $50,000 with them so far.

We started working together in April 2021, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The performance of the app and the timeliness of their deliverables are good. Also, they’ve been great, very communicative, and active in creating the product — it’s been going smoothly.

How did Sweetcode Lab Inc. perform from a project management standpoint?

Their communications skills are great, and they also stay within the budget — we haven’t had any surprises in terms of invoices. In terms of tools, we use Google Meets and Slack.

What did you find most impressive about them? 

They’re worth their price; we’ve tried other foreign developers because they’re cheaper, but they aren’t as good. Also, they’ve seemed involved and attentive.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think there’s anything they can improve on.

Be engaged with them; they’ll handle everything as long as you communicate well with them.

We started with close to a blank slate. A previous UI designer started the design process. We handed over those few screens to Sweetcode. They were able to create an entire brand guideline around what we already had. We communicated over Slack and Figma to edit and complete designs. Then we passed the designs along to our other development team.

There was a little struggle when it came to the website development. The designers were great, but there were some complications getting the site up and running.

After a series of discovery meetings to discuss our goals, we received a few initial designs of our site. Once we chose a theme, we went back and forth to finalize the design and provided feedback throughout the process. Sweetcode then helped us transfer our website to WordPress and taught us how we can manage it ourselves.

The overall look is definitely way better than what it looked like before.

I appreciated how flexible and understanding they were, especially on what we wanted for our website. They were super fast and were extremely creative.

No
