MiKool Refrigeration offer Refrigerated Trailer Rental throughout the South-West of the UK, for all types of events. Trade Shows, Weddings, Festivals, Corporate Events, anywhere mobile refrigeration is needed. I am the manager.

For what projects/services did your company hire Swanky Pixels?

As a new company we needed an effective website to offer our services to prospective customers and we needed SEO optimisation to achieve top ranking on on internet searches.

What were your goals for this project?

To have a website that stood out against our competitors and was usable on all devices, phone, tablet and PC. To achieve top ranking on Google and other search engines.

How did you select Swanky Pixels?

We were very keen to use a locally based company, to support local business and for ease of communication. Having researched the many companies available locally, Swanky Pixels stood out as the company best able to provide what was needed.

Describe the project in detail.

Quite simply the project was to build a website to entice prospective renters to come to us, instead of the competition. To ensure the we achieved top spot on search engines.

What was the team composition?

Myself and two colleagues from MiKool provided all the information required and the team at Swanky Pixels took that, provided photographs and built our very effective website. They also achieved top spot on the search engines.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our website was launched during the Covid-19 pandemic, at this time our target market does not exist. Once the lockdowns end and events begin to happen again we are confident that our website will give us an advantage.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Very good and very easy.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

The whole project was handled excellently by Swanky Pixels with true professionalism and care.

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the credit manager of Witney Plant Hire Ltd. I deal with the sales and purchase ledgers as well as getting involved with all the processes they have. I look after the IT infrastructure, website, and various projects. We’re a plant hire company that hires out construction equipment.

What challenge were you trying to address with Swanky Pixels?

We brought them on to develop our website. Our former one was less than ideal and required updating. Swanky Pixels was tasked to completely rebuild the website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We gave them a brief relaying our requirements to put the website together. I put in the content of the website. One of our main objectives was to make it easy for anyone to find our website. They’ve also created an additional three websites for us.

They’ve also done SEO so we can stay at the top of searches containing the words construction equipment.

What is the team composition?

We work with two developers.

How did you come to work with Swanky Pixels?

I inherited them. They produced my company’s initial website before I joined the company.

How much have you invested with them?

We've invested between £4,000–£5,000 (approximately $5,500–$6,800 USD).

What is the status of this engagement?

Our ongoing engagement started in July 2015. They revamp our website on an annual basis.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

They produce reports that relay our website’s analytics and metrics. I can see which pages are clicked on the most and how many clicks we get on a monthly basis. When we do a search online, we can tell how effective the SEO is because our website comes up on the first page every time.

Additionally, we receive a lot of inquiries from the website. All the inquiries come to me so we have inquiries ranging from big construction companies all the way down to individuals. We’re at a good place now.

How did Swanky Pixels perform from a project management standpoint?

Throughout the process, they create a virtual website for me to go in and give feedback. I could add and take away as I wished. They helped me be involved and provided whatever assistance I needed through phone or email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They show me a basic skeleton so I can drill down as much or little as I want.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing comes to mind. Their experience is diverse so it’s good they don’t specialize in construction because that could lead to tunnel vision. Their team works in a methodical way.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Have a clear picture of what you want, and they’ll do the rest.

The new website looks fantastic and really showcases our beautiful kitchens.
