SUVA's approach was a very personalized and highly professional.  The two principals met with our Team in person.  There was a clear investment of time on their part identifying our company/brand.  SUVA always delivered on time with high quality results/solutions.  Overall we are extremely satisfied with their responsiveness.

In summary, the team at SUVA are innovative designers and robust modern thinkers. At the core of the SUVA design practice, beyond the significant talent at this studio, was a kind of primal understanding of my needs as an Independent Entity in the visual arts field. The revision and recreation of my website was a very personal project to me, and SUVA Inc delivered in every imaginable way with regard to my unique project.

In the world of visual arts, aesthetic and graphic evaluation is expected. SUVA's role in the designing of a worldclass website for my work continues to serve me well. Great design is timeless and consistently effective.

This particular project required an organic kind of interaction as all involved allowed for an organic evolutionary process to unfold. It was a unique working setting that was established, which resulted in innovation and successful resolution.

What is most impressive about this company is the two individuals, (Co-Founders) at the helm, the Art Director and the Creative Director.

Art and design can always be approached differently. It is really about the meeting of minds that fuels a projects engine. SUVA offers the intellectual/artistic qualities needed for reinvention on this level.

I’m an account executive for a glass and metal company.

What challenge were you trying to address with SUVA Inc?

We hired SUVA Inc to design our website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

During our initial meeting, SUVA Inc came and met our team in our company. They compiled information by asking about our roles and contributions to the company. We talked about the projects we did, too. 

The project consisted of design and development tasks, and it was a revamp of our website. They put everything in categories. Our team had many scopes of work, and SUVA Inc made sure everything was represented properly. They took our images and the locations we’d worked on and organized them on the website. This way, end users could easily navigate the site and see our company’s work by category. 

For specific requests, we wanted them to use only the best images and implement a simple yet elegant design. We wanted users to locate sections without going through images that weren’t relevant to them. 

We’re still working with them on other projects — this one is just the biggest of them all.

We’ve worked with Natalya (Co-Founder, Art Director & Brand Strategist) and Tim (Founder). 

How did you come to work with SUVA Inc?

I found SUVA Inc when I was looking at the websites of other people working in the same industry. I kept going back to a website they did. Our team loved their examples and the fact that other companies used them. Their website had a good message, and we liked the detail that went into the work they’d done for other vendors and companies. 

I knew they had the capability of doing what we wanted based on the other work they had in their portfolio. We also checked their Clutch profile and read their reviews; this was another reason we approached them.

We’ve spent between $10,000–$50,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

Our engagement started in November 2022, and it’s ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve referred our customers to the website, and the feedback from them is highly positive. 

How did SUVA Inc perform from a project management standpoint?

SUVA Inc has stayed on budget and met the deadline. In fact, they’ve even exceeded our deadline expectations. They’ve kept us organized and in check by giving us an organized timeline checklist. To communicate, we use phone calls, Zoom meetings, emails, and in-person meetings. We use everything based on what best fits whatever we’re discussing. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

SUVA Inc’s work quality is top-notch. They meet our expectations and keep us on track so they can get the job done. We don’t get lost in daily work. Moreover, the team is extremely creative. They’ve been an incredible partner since day one; they never stall, so the engagement flows truly easily.

No, there aren’t any.

Communicate your vision to SUVA Inc so they can make it happen. They’ll help you if you don’t know what you want. In our engagement, we know what we want, and they’ve made it happen based on our vision and what we want people to see on our website.

Precycle is the first zero-waste grocery store in Brooklyn NY. We aim to address the growing problem of plastic pollution by empowering customers to reduce food and packaging waste.

Precycle sells fresh local produce without packaging, while also working up in its own supply chain to dramatically reduce and eliminate plastic and other waste. I am the founder and owner of Precycle.

What challenge were you trying to address with the vendor?

Our business model of a completely package-free grocery store was fairly new. We were first to do this in New York. It was important that our customers understood what we were offering, how it worked and would impact they would have on environment by shopping with us.

We needed to create a strong brand image and awareness.

What was the scope of their involvement? 

We started working with SUVA at the very beginning. They helped us develop our brand positioning, our logo, iconography and eventually store signage, labels, and custom product graphics. They also designed our website and email newsletters.

What is the team composition? 

I worked directly with Natalya Bagrova, she is the co-owner of SUVA.

How did you come to work with the vendor?

We needed a creative partner who believed in our vision and whom we could trust with such a unique challenge. We knew SUVA co-owners personally and worked with them before.

They are also local so it was easy to work with them on store signage and product designs.

How much have you invested with them?

Our investment pails in comparison to the value and uncompromising support SUVA provides to us on ongoing basis. They are essential part of our brand growth.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Within the first few months of our launch we received press coverage from local news channels and popular blogs as well as international recognition. Our customer base continues to grow with locals as well as other customers in the New York area who make special weakly trips just to shop with us.

To provide an example, when COVID-19 lockdown in New York forced us to be open as an essential business we had to pivot literally overnight.

Our first call was to SUVA, they created an instant patch for our customers to be able to place orders online for pick up since we could not allow anyone in out store to make sure there was no food contamination.

How did the vendor perform from a project management standpoint?

They are always available to me and are very responsive and produce work on-time. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Besides providing amazing designs, they understand business operations and provide great creative advice. They always have tricks up their sleeves and provide out-of-the-box solutions that you did not even think of.

I’m the owner, president, and CEO of a company that does architectural metalwork and design work. I’m also a designer and have been designing furniture for many years.

I wanted to market a line of furniture and have it interact with the company I’m the president of, too. We wanted to create a brand on the site that was different from my other company but could also coexist with it very tastefully and come across as high-end.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They've built this site from scratch. They’ve handled everything, from the logo, pages, layout, to the entire feeling of the website. They took all the same content and information and gave it a different feeling through the font and imagery. For the functionality, we’ve worked to make it very simple to navigate and easy to contact showrooms affiliated with our site.

Natalia (Co-Founder) and Tim (Co-Founder) are my main points of contact. 

How did you come to work with SUVA Inc?

I did a very deep dive online to see various companies who have worked with different designers. I wanted someone who stuck out for their creativity and technical solutions. I came across SUVA and looked through their work, which I was very impressed by. When I interviewed them, there was a nice synergy and they really understood what I was looking for.

We started working together in June 2020 and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Everyone who has seen the website loves it. I’ve heard only great things about their work. When we first launched it, I saw an increase in sales and it happened very quickly. I didn’t immediately sell more the next day, but more inquiries came in so there has been a very direct link between the launch and the feedback. They’ve had a real impact. 

How did SUVA Inc perform from a project management standpoint?

We initially started on Asana to manage the project and share information. Between that and emails, phone calls, and visual presentations, we communicate in a variety of ways. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They have an intuitive ability to understand what I’m looking for — they can easily interpret and expedite any of my requests. They can easily turn an idea into something usable.

For example, they’ve been doing such a great job, I asked them to help me design some T-shirts for the company and they were quickly able to design a new logo for the shirt. It’s refreshing that it doesn’t take hours and hours of email communication for them to understand what I want. They can always come up with ideas that align with my thoughts. 

It’s very rare that I’m impressed with people professionally. People usually fall short, but SUVA always exceeds my expectations, are reasonable and fair, and we have a great partnership. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, they’re doing a really amazing job and I keep giving them more work. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Think about other things SUVA can do for you; they are so talented and can probably do even more for you than you think. Don’t pigeonhole them into just a website. For me, I realized they could do the collateral and branding, not just the site, which was a pleasant surprise. If I knew that when I started the project, I would have given them a much more complete request. 

Have them do as much of your design work and marketing as possible because they’ll do a great job and it’ll have continuity. When you have a call, you could cover five things instead of one, and then make additional requests or changes.

Please describe your company and your position there.

I am the owner of a nutrition and wellness company located in the San Francisco Bay area. I work with clients virtually all over the world. I help people in recovery from addiction by creating personally tailored programs that include specific recommendations, health practices, recipes and support strategies to address their unique situation.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire SUVA Inc?

My company shifted focus from a general nutrition service to a more narrow specialty, targeting a very unique need in a market place. I needed to redesign the existing website to reflect this shift and these new services. I also needed a more professional look that matched the level of expertise I provided.

What were your goals for this project?

The main objective of the project was to introduce my new coaching program and me as a leading expert in the field of nutrition and wellness for addiction recovery. I also needed a website that would generate new leads and make it easy for customers to schedule an appointment.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

When I started looking for a designer, I was very fortunate to get a referral to Suva and they were available to help. After our initial meeting, it was clear that Suva would be a perfect partner to help me re-brand my company.

They listened and asked very specific questions that showed they were not just interested in making something look good but to make sure it was going to meet my business objectives and connect with my specific target audience.

It’s like they were an extension of my business team and were fully invested in making sure that my brand was successful from the beginning and had a long term growth strategy. And their prices were a fraction of any large agency for the same quality work but with a more personal approach.

Describe the project in detail.

Before we began working we had a discovery meeting were Suva team and I discussed the best way to reach the main goals for the project and what areas needed work.

We began the project with a brand strategy session where Suva help me identify my ideal client, what their challenges were and how to best help them with those challenges. This resulted in a new business name, positioning, strategy, messaging, new logo and content strategy for the new site.

Suva listened to my needs and provided guidance and intelligent information every step of the way, I felt included in the entire creative process. Because they took the time to get to know me and my business on such a deep level, in most cases they anticipated my needs before I even knew I needed them.

For the website, in addition to the wireframes and writing direction, Suva also provided a professional photo shot list with detailed styling art direction, location preference, wardrobe and specific images photographer needed to take.

Before the team started working on the website they created a mini coming soon page that was full of useful information. This enabled me to start networking and building my contact list of potential new clients right away.

The final website was fully custom designed and coded where every page had unique layout, function and content based on our original wireframes and I am able to make any future edits via easy-to-use Squarespace backend. The final deliverables also included business cards, digital brochures, program handouts and fillable forms for clients.

Suva continues to update my site, create monthly newsletters, and generate weekly graphics for two key social media accounts.

What was the team composition?

I was working directly with the two owners who are also the designers which made the whole process very easy and provided immediate replies. Suva team is a powerhouse and a very well oiled machine. They know their stuff and they are willing to let you be involved in the process.

They are also very personable and easy to talk to and made all of our meetings both educational and entertaining. I looked forward to our bi-weekly calls.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The final website and branding were beyond my expectations and wildest dreams! Suva over delivered in every aspect and provided so much more value and high standards to my program and services.

I got a ton of wonderful feedback and it gave me the confidence to share my services with high-end clients. My new website is thoughtful, bright, fresh and totally cutting-edge and has been an invaluable tool in generating new business.

All of my business forms, program handouts, and social media accounts have clear branding standards and look super professional, creating a great brand experience for my clients.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The communication was instant via phone and email. The project schedule was managed very effectively, I always knew what was being worked on and when certain parts were due.

Since I am located on the west coast and Suva is based in New York all presentations were held virtually using google meet which made it very easy to schedule reviews and for me to provide feedback.

They were always available when I had questions and made extra effort to provide additional references and recommend super useful tools.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

I knew from seeing Suva's portfolio that they were very talented designers but they were so much more! Their branding expertise and design skills together with an understanding of consumer behavior and business strategy is a rare combination.

What I found most impressive is their insight, attention to the smallest detail, their amazing ability to know what I need before I need it, and the work ethic they put into my business.

What sets them apart from other small agencies is their range of top quality services and their approach to design. They don’t just take orders, they ask a lot of questions. They take the time to get to know you and your customers, they want to know what your strengths are as well as stress points.

They use strategy in their process and are very good at translating that strategy into effective creative solutions. Everything is done for a reason. There is nothing cookie-cutter about their work.

The end result is not only completely custom, unique and beautiful but also functional. All deliverables were designed with a purpose to appeal to a specific customer and to provoke a specific response. I now consider them as an integral part of my business and an extension of my team.
