I’m the head of marketing for Bollywood and Hollywood films at Sony Pictures Entertainment India.

What challenge were you trying to address with Surfing Monkey LLP?

We hired Surfing Monkey to handle all of our social media and website requirements. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Surfing Monkey handles everything we need to do on social media to promote Hollywood films online. That includes running ads on platforms like Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. The team also helps us constantly engage with fans online, making sure the right communication goes out to the fans as per our objectives. They also flag any issues that could harm the company. 

Moreover, Surfing Money has designed and managed various websites’ user journeys and backend. They ensure that everything runs smoothly as they create new features and come up with new ideas. When we create websites, they ensure that everything is mobile-optimized; they also ensure that all terms and conditions are in place to safeguard us. 

I generally require the team to provide creative assets and update content on our social media platform when we’re running campaigns. They also make sure that the assets are adapted to various languages. To ensure that we have proper engagement with people online, we’ve done contests. 

Surfing Money has also done marketing videos for us. Our teams have also done some innovative projects — for the film Jumanji, we’ve used Google Lens to let people scan and watch content.

How did you come to work with Surfing Monkey LLP?

I friend of mine referred the Surfing Monkey team to me in 2019. That was the start of our engagement. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in June 2019, and the engagement is ongoing. 

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Surfing Monkey’s services have been on par with our expectations. In every partnership, there will always be glitches and setbacks, but we’ve had no reason to complain about the team so far.

The team has shown consistency of thought, and the work they put out has been extremely to the point. We know that our efforts have worked, although there’s no way to quantify their effectiveness. Overall, we’re 100% satisfied with Surfing Monkey’s work. 

How did Surfing Monkey LLP perform from a project management standpoint?

Surfing Monkey has always met our expectations; they’ve been able to deliver on time and within budget. Meanwhile, we have a WhatsApp group where we communicate our ongoing work. We also use emails and calls. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

They never say no however crazy our ideas are. They always figure things out.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, there aren’t any. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be crystal clear about your expectations, and lay them out properly. Surfing Monkey delivers to expectations, and it helps if you’re extremely clear about what you want.

For what projects/services did your company hire Surfing Monkey LLP, and what were your goals?

We were launching a new product line for which we engaged Surfing Monkey to give shape to our website and overall marketing strategy to help drive sales.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We spoke to several marketing agencies we found online and through references we got. This was one of the few who had worked with international brands and had the kind of all round experience we were looking for.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and marking tools used.

We went through our branding materials, our product USP and goals of our campaign. Based on that we were given recommendations on what would work best. This led to the key steps being outlined. For marketing tools there was mutial discussion on what tools would work best for the campaign and the budget and timelines were worked out accordingly.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked with the founder and his team whixh included one person focusing on content and the other team member focusing on promotion and brandong ideas.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The campign is still being worked on so I dont have anything specific on feedback about the campaign. But so far we have been quite pleased with the quality of work being done on the campaign.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Surfing Monkey set up a detailed project plan in Clickup and we have bow started having weekly calls with them to decide on agneda dor the week and assign responsibilities and deliverables.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

They appear to be a 1 stop shop for all our digital marketing needs. We have recieved a lot of interesting product and promotion ideas from brands they have worked on in the past.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Everything they have done so far looks good. I believe we could have fast tracked some of the activities- but overall experience is good so far.
