Studio Ubique undertook the complete re-design of our website. Their team conceptualized, wireframed and finally designed everything in UI/UX right from scratch. Deliverables Includes, Fresh design framework for both desktop and mobile versions New visuals inline with our branding User-friendly navigation structure that supported product discovery capabilities of the platform.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The impact was immediate. We saw that after the implementation of Studio Ubique user engagement on our site has increased a lot especially with longer browsing times due to new and easier navigation. The new, ultra-rapid site was particularly well-received in terms of accessibility and UX by users with the majority finding it to be easier on both eyes and fingers. Moreover, our brand-new website not only works faster but also results much better retention rate in mobile environments showcasing a significant improvement inflow-from-user-flow production!

Our site now appears a lot faster and this would result in better user experience and visitor engagement. Having a stronger security infrastructure in place has been instrumental in our ability to have confidence that we can protect customer data — something essential to the reputation of any brand. Bounce rates have decreased as well, implying good user feedback on the operation of the site.

What challenge were you trying to address with Studio Ubique?

We started looking around for companies because our marketing department was small, so we didn’t need somebody full-time to manage our website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

When we have projects that require a certain skill level and expertise, we reach out to Studio Ubique. They’ve worked on web design and hosting.

We outline our content and provide our preferences on other websites we like. The team asks some probing questions to help us figure out what we want; they ask those questions to understand the project entirely. Then, they follow up on the information and ensure they fully grasp what we’re trying to do.

They use WordPress, and we’ve worked with them on a Shopify project. Studio Ubique also had expertise in that, so it was attractive for us to engage them on a Shopify project, knowing we’ve succeeded with them on WordPress.

Additionally, Studio Ubique did some graphic design work when we were building one of our websites; they created some icons and imagery. They initially provided some examples, and we gave them directions for the style we liked. We loved the first round they came up with; it worked perfectly with the branding.

Usually, there are probably 1–3 people on our team. We primarily work with Lennart (Co-Owner & UI/UX Designer). He puts us in contact with other teammates when he’s out of town, or we have something else that he can’t get to. 

How did you come to work with Studio Ubique?

The relationship with Studio Ubique was passed along to me by the previous person in this role. When I stepped in, the company had already worked with them for 4–5 years.

When we hire freelancers or third-party companies, our goals often get lost in the shuffle because they just try to provide a product. However, we’ve built a relationship with Studio Ubique.

What is the status of this engagement?

I started working with them two and a half years ago, but the company has been working with them since July 2020. Our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Studio Ubique’s impact has been very positive; it has brought light to some projects we didn’t have the internal capacity to bring about. Moreover, working with them on the website build has educated us internally on specific services and department offerings that are hard to explain. They’ve also worked on content to bring it alive visually and organize it to make our products and services easier to understand.

They’ve been an excellent resource for getting our team up to speed on our work and services in this niche. This is one of the bigger projects we’ve been working on, and we’re in the final stages of rolling it out. We see it as launching a separate brand, which is another unique opportunity to set us apart from competitors. We’ve been offering these services internally but not branded out, allowing us to build a part of our business that we’ve seen success with and has organically grown over time. Overall, we see a lot of potential in launching this to our customers.

How did Studio Ubique perform from a project management standpoint?

Project management is so consistent. If they give us a timeline, we know we’ll get the project before or on the promised date; there’s never been an issue. Studio Ubique communicates the timeline clearly and sets up what they need from us upfront.

Another thing I love about working with Studio Ubique is the clarity. We don’t have to worry about a lack of communication and can totally trust them budget-wise. We can tell them what we have budgeted for the project; if they can’t do it, they can cut something out or change it. Studio Ubique always finds a way around it so we can work with the budget and make the most of it. Moreover, they’re creative about how we go about it, so they don’t say no; they find another way to execute the project we want and come back with ideas on how to move forward.

I’m also always impressed with their communication, depth of knowledge, and recommendations. They’re so easy to communicate with. They care not only about providing services but also about what we want, providing options for that, and truly understanding our project goals.

They proactively reach out and clearly communicate what they’re doing so we can be aware and make adjustments. Third-party companies usually provide a product and are done. However, our relationship with Studio Ubique is long-term due to how they run their projects.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

We mainly work with Lennart. Our communication with him is so clear, and he keeps the project moving. We’re in different countries, so there’s a time zone difference or communication barrier. However, I’m always impressed because it’s so easy to work and communicate with him; you’d think we’re sitting right next to each other. 

Lennart is always quick to respond and asks great questions. He wants to understand the project and provide full service. He’s also very insightful and great at giving feedback. 

Even with troubleshooting, although I don’t have his depth of knowledge, he’s able to work with somebody who doesn’t have much WordPress and coding experience and walk me through, explain, or teach it to me. I always appreciate that he goes out of his way to provide training, videos, and step-by-step instructions so the project can be as hands-on or hands-off as possible, depending on the situation.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’ve been thoroughly impressed with their products. Ultimately, I’m always impressed because the products they deliver exceed our vision and the information we provide. Studio Ubique always goes above and beyond what we imagine or expect for the project, so we know we’re in safe hands when we give them the base information.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing comes to mind. We’ve been so impressed with the partnership. Studio Ubique delivers above and beyond.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’ve recommended them to a friend who wants to redo her website and is getting a quote for it. I essentially told her to put a basic frame together and what she wanted to do for them to review it, get their ideas on it, and see what they’d recommend if they’ve worked with a similar client. Overall, engaging with Studio Ubique and kicking off a project is very simple; just provide a simple wireframe and your goals and see where it goes.

The team has also developed an order portal, which is a web shop where users will be able to order our products directly and request an invoice. In this portal, customers who have dealerships with us can create an account, which we have to approve, and then request an invoice. 

Studio Ubique is currently working to consolidate the portal's ordering system, a functionality that will only be available for customers who already have dealerships with us. The team also manages domain registration and hosting.
