Web design, helping me clean up and tidy a website I'd designed so it was ready for dev.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I loved how personable they were, I also appreciated how quick they were to get back to me. I really enjoyed jumping on a zoom and I felt like they really listened and understood my problem to see if they could help.

I've now worked with them on a series of projects, the first one was tidying up a website in Figma which was already designed. I'm now working with them more and more with them designing the website as I'm so impressed with the work they delivered and how quickly.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

I worked with around 2-3 people and every one of them was great.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The outcome is a website I am proud to share. It's also meant I now have someone I can rely on who is not only creative, but very detailed orientated and skilled.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

So good! They were so efficient and easy to work with.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

How much they made the experience feel so relaxing and I felt like I was in such capable hands, they did this through communicating regularly through the project and delivering something which was better than I imagined.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nope, I'm really impressed. And if I did I feel like I could communicate it with them directly and they would take it on board and implement it.

For what projects/services did your company hire Stera Global, and what were your goals?

We wanted to design a new app to connect specific types of people to other professionals. Our goals were simple. Make it easy to connect, communicate and establish business connections.

How did you select Stera Global and what were the deciding factors?

We looked at several design firms and Stera Global stood out as the best fit for us. They understood our needs from the start and I loved the designs of their previous projects. I was looking for a European perspective/look to the design and they came through with a beautiful layout

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The product has not been released so I am unable to describe it in detail. I can say that the project focused on a unique app that makes business connections more effective and efficient. The scope of the work entailed us talking and brainstorming with Stera Global. They listened intuitively and also provided some invaluable feedback. We established dates of deliverables and they came through.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

There were two individuals that worked with me. I believe Violetta is the CEO and she was my main contact. I worked with a few members of her team but Violetta was readily available throughout the day and she was actively involved in the project.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Stera Global delivered a detailed design and analysis of the app, which had hundreds of screens. We went through the app thoroughly to make sure the next step of development made sense so changes would be limited during the programming stage. In terms of deliverables, they hit the mark and you can tell there was no rush job near the end of the scheduled submission. Very pleased overall.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timelines.

They were flexible with respect to my needs both from a communication side and timeline. Case in point, I live in Canada and they are located in Poland but they were available during my schedule. We used Zoom and google meetings to connect and I felt very comfortable conversing and outlining using those technologies. Their command of english was also outstanding.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The fact that I felt comfortable working with them at all times was a bonus. I have worked with other team in the past where I became somewhat anxious knowing that we may not have been on the same page with regards to development. The fact that they were there for me and cared about the project showed that they were simply not an outsourcing company. Rather, I saw them as a comforting partner who wanted to make sure that their work impressed my team and I as well as the customers that will be using the software.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

To be honest, I couldnt think of anything that they could have improved. I have been in the programming business for almost 15 years and they were hands down the best design team I have worked with.

I’m the CEO of a digital marketing agency.

What challenge were you trying to address with Stera Global?

We hired them to build our site.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They designed and developed our site from scratch. It’s a one pages site with custom illustrations. They used HTML and CSS to build it out.

I sat down with their lead designer and we discussed the theme and color scheme. They produced some mockups and showed me some sample sites, and we narrowed down to a couple of styles. Next, they sent over some wireframes.

What is the team composition?

I worked with Violetta (COO) primarily.

How did you come to work with Stera Global?

I previously hired them to run some of my operations. Through that perspective, I saw their capabilities which led me to hire them again.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $3,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working together in February 2020, and our work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We’ve had close to a zero-error rate with their work.

How did Stera Global perform from a project management standpoint?

They're great at project management, in fact that was a big factor in them being hired. They use Jira, and their estimates always land on time and on budget. They’re very good at being agile and always adjust to our changes. We also use Slack for communication.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their UI capabilities are great. Their sites are always clean and functional. The ratio between the technical capabilities and the cost is very beneficial.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing comes to mind.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

The more information you provide upfront, the better. Take the time to brief effectively and align on expectations before execution.

To design a multi-faceted mobile application focusing on user acquisition.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We'd worked with Stera on smaller projects, and they were excellent. Excellent communicators and quick responders.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

They joined us in client meetings offering suggestions to improve UX/UI. Once we had enough information, they created wireframes and then UI Designs. All beautiful and approved by the client.

How many resources from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Four: Managing Partner, Project Manager, Sr. Designer, Jr. Designer.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project went very well, on time, and under budget. The client has since come back for more work.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Flawless. They operated within our Asana board and Google chat. No issues whatsoever.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We were impressed with their ability to transform ideas into attractive and high-functioning UI designs. It's a talent that only a few have and Stera has it.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Not really.
