The work involved designing and developing a discrete functional WordPress component with several content types and taxonomies. It also involved developing a series of custom Gutenberg blocks, a dynamic content filter and a new menu and navigation structure.

A number of refinements were also done, such as improving mobile responsiveness, adding new styling to blocks, and changing URL structures.

I worked initially with an account manager at first, and then primarily with a project manager. I occasionally interacted with a couple developers, but this was mostly mediated with the PM.

The website came out really nice, and StasDesign has done a great job of developing everything quickly. We’ve launched successfully with little to no issues. The website now allows us to make very quick edits and changes ourselves.

Even without any technical experience, I’m able to go in, tweak the content, and easily publish whatever has been saved. We consider it a big success that we’re able to independently operate our site without the need for a third party.

The project was fully managed on the Basecamp platform as well as all communication was conducted there. Communication with them was always smooth, professional, and direct.

I’m most impressed by how we get to interact with the decision makers, and I believe that’s owed to the size of their organization. We can do things a lot faster because we’re working directly with the people who can make the necessary changes for us.

No, I can’t think of anything. This is our first time going into a project like this, and StasDesign has set the bar.

After redesigning our eCommerce website, we have found the ease of uploading products, and users are also feeling comfortable buying uniforms online. We saw a 50% increase in our sales after redesigning our eCommerce web portals.

We wanted to do that through a visual identity redesign that represented where we wanted to be as a business. On top of that, our previous website didn’t have the level of quality that we wanted as a business. We needed to step that up, so we turned to StasDesign.

I found StasDesign by searching on Google, and the reason I went with them was that I liked Stas perspective on how we should build a website. He had great ideas and understood what we wanted; he seemed to understand the objectives we were trying to achieve.

Moreover, lead generation and visual design were important for us, so we wanted somebody who gave us inspiration. In the past, we worked with website developers that didn’t understand that, and we had to spell everything out to them. By contrast, StasDesign seemed to bring our ideas to life, and I had a feeling that they were going to deliver what we wanted when I was talking to them, so I hired them.

We needed both website design and development services. Initially, we worked on a strategy and looked at our competitors and the market to determine what would help us stand out from the crowd. To jumpstart the project, I created a brief that outlined our objectives, what we liked, and what we disliked.

Then, StasDesign brought StasDesign a thorough scoping of what the process would be like and what our competitors were doing on other websites. They made sure that what we were developing would help us differentiate ourselves and stand out. After that, we worked on a complete redesign of our website. We custom-built the website on WordPress, and StasDesign worked to implement what we wanted from a visual standpoint.

They came up with new colors and visual elements that we also executed across our marketing materials. They then rolled out the designs into our sales decks and sheets. Overall, they redesigned every other bit of marketing assets we produced. They also created bespoke animation on the website. The logo was pretty much the only thing they didn’t redesign.

After we launched the website, our SEO performance improved by about 25%, which was great. That was a testament to the way our site and SEO structure were constructed. Our bounce rate also decreased.

More people landed on our website, and they had a better experience. StasDesign changed our visual identity; the look and feel of our brand were transformed with more eye-catching visuals. Going forward, we’ll continue working with StasDesign on other projects.

We’ll be calling them again when we have other creative or development projects, such as one-off campaigns or ongoing tasks.

Project management has been good. Development can take longer than expected, but that isn't their fault. They’d present us with things to test and we’d test them when we had time.

We could always get a hold of Alex or one of the developers. The communication was good and it worked well. The fact they’re local, we went to see them on a number of occasions.

The StasDesign team was truly knowledgeable and insightful, and I fully trusted them. They knew what they were doing, which was hard to come by, especially in the tech industry.

Some of the concepts that we talked about weren’t easily understood by others, but StasDesign understood us from the get-go. Overall, the team was spot on in terms of capability, trustworthiness, and execution.

We were on a pretty tight deadline when we approached StasDesign. We had a conference coming up a little over a month from when we had our first conversation with their team and wanted to have the new site up before then. StasDesign did an awesome job of kicking off our project quickly. Within the same week as our first phone conversation, they sent two people from their team to meet with us in person at our office to do a deep dive into our product/technology and discuss the next steps for the project. The site is built using custom WordPress. We did a “phase one” launch of the website in time for the conference, which included three pages. We’re still in ongoing talks with them about developing a few additional pages to complete the site (that were not needed by the original deadline).

We were assigned an account manager, Julia [Project Manager, StasDesign], who was awesome to work with. I also worked a lot with Sasha [Strategy, StasDesign], who advised us on creative direction and design. Sasha was also very knowledgeable about our industry and quickly picked up on the various elements of our technology platform. This was instrumental to the success of our project as Sasha was able to easily advise us on how to take a complicated technology and present it in such a way that is exciting and accessible to our key audience.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The site improves our entire company’s image. We are just about to launch, so will have better quantitative results in the future. It should facilitate purchase, imbues brand trust, and gives us a boost in CRM. The integration the site provides is important to us. Automation will save us time in billing and invoicing, marketing, and customer data management. Connections to the backend will make our teams more productive, and we hope to see increases in conversion and revenue, and other positive ROI [returns on investment].

It was mostly positive. They were very prompt with their responses during the development of the website. Their developers are outside the U.S. Sometimes it took longer than anticipated, but they did a good job of communicating what was delaying the project and provided us practical reasons. They did a good job with communication. We used Basecamp.

The people I worked with were knowledgeable about our industry/technology, easy to communicate with, and overall very organized.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

There were occasions when we wanted to make changes to something that had already been moved into design, and we were met with some resistance from their designers because of the time and effort that it would take to make these changes. We were on a very tight deadline, so we knew we had to be careful about keeping revisions to a minimum, but there were a few situations where we felt that something could be changed easily and were surprised to hear that that wasn’t the case. Not sure how that could have been improved upon, but it does come down to communication/setting proper expectations about the design process at the start of the project.

Special attention was paid to the filter of goods. The next stage is to fill the store with goods. With search engine optimization. And the last stage is testing the online store.

Further on, since our portfolio has expanded during the last couple of years, it was very important for us to have a website that can reflect that.

We chose WordPress and a custom theme, and we needed to include HubSpot features. StasDesign worked on the first design direction - homepage design, which then served as the basis for other pages. We were very happy with the first version and decided to proceed, with only minor changes.

Our website has around 20 pages, so we continued submitting the structure one by one, based on which StasDesign provided designs. When designs were approved, they moved to the development phase. In the end, we were working on some adjustments based on the content added, and we also worked with the SEO team more closely before the actual launch.

Moreover, we really liked a very straightforward way of communicating deadlines, progress, and what potential changes may cause. It always felt like we are one team working towards a common goal.

StasDesign delivered a well-designed, nice looking website that completely fulfilled our expectations, but most importantly, they delivered a clean and neat, easy to use WordPress template. Additionally they delivered within the agreed (and tight) time scope.

We used Slack to coordinate, StasDesign was always very fast to implement the requested changes. They were also fast to react whenever we had any questions and they also understood very well what we wanted; we had fast and efficient iterations. We also appreciated their friendly and helpful manner.

Although they were easy-going -which made them a pleasure to work with-, we always felt that our requests are being taken seriously and handled promptly. We never questioned that they committed resources to us, it was clear that they were working with 100% dedication on our project.
