The Squid Group team communicates well and understands the outcomes required. They deliver on time, and are a great to work with. As a small business, it is important that we see results quickly.

Our business is very niche, and our target consumers are wide and varied, which has made it a little difficult to target specific consumers, but we have seen some pleasing results so far.

Their attentiveness, personal service and willingness to help are impressive. Marketing and social media is not something I understand well. Laurence and his team are patient and don't make you feel stupid for lack of knowledge.

We wanted to work with a digital marketing agency who could take care of our Google ads, Facebook ads, SEO and web development and design. We chose to work with Squid to utilise their experience and expertise in these areas to increase brand awareness by growing our online presence and improve our website and SEO to get more business.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Delivered a great website We noticed a siginificant increase in website traffic as a result of the SEO that Squid has done for our website. Our SEO consistently does well and Google rankings have improved. For a recent online wills campaign, Squid designed some illustrations for us including an animated video.

These were simple but effective and really elevated our campaign. Our Facebook ads are getting good engagement with a lot of clicks and post interaction.

Loop is a New Zealand-based music and events company. I am employed as a manager and marketing lead.

For what projects/services did your company hire Squid Group NZ, and what were your goals?

We enlisted Squid Group to handle aspects of the digital marketing of a series of large-scale concert events over the NZ summer period. Our goals for this campaign was to initially help raise awareness of the events, and secondly to sell tickets.

How did you select Squid Group NZ and what were the deciding factors?

We have worked previously with Squid Group in previous capacities outside of digital marketing, and knowing that this is an area of expertise for Squid Group, they were a natural fit for our needs. Laurence and his team have always been wonderful to deal with and very knowledgeable and professional, which made the decision to work with them easy.

Loop worked together with Squid Group to create a bespoke digital marketing campaign for our needs. The campaign was primarily focused towards Google, YouTube, social media & digital re-marketing.

After creating the initial plans for the campaign, we met with the team weekly, continuing to tweak the campaign, and being reactive to the campaigns' strengths and weaknesses.

We worked with an account manager and a digital marketing specialist.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Squid Group were crucial in helping us achieve our attendance goals for these events. Their ability to continue to tweak and alter the campaign was crucial, especially through continued lockdown periods in NZ.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Alongside weekly meetings, we worked using the programme Clickup to manage requirements needed from us, and us from them. We also worked with shared Google Sheets to live-track the budget & campaign spends.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Squid Group's ability to tweak and modify the campaign spends as we desired was great. They were able to work alongside us and guide us through the campaign, and also open to our feedback and suggestions on the campaign. It was a very collaborative experience, which enabled us to benefit from their areas of expertise.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Overall, I felt Squid Group executed all aspects of our campaign as effectively as we hoped.

I am the owner of Beauty Ethics NZ the new arm of Hairbliss Ltd. We are developing a new beauty product line which we will be launching globally. A new website, intagram and facebook is being created also.

The business is moving in a different direction now. We asked Sqid groups expertise with branding & using that branding across all platforms plus marketing strategies. It is still ongoing due to the many aspects of our change as it is completely new.

I approached a government institution who gave us several companies to look at and to see which one fitted our project.

At first meetings were held to enable squid Group to understand what I was trying to achieve, the products themselves , the image of the brand & the demographic I was wanting to market to. They were full of advice as I am truly not savvy with technology and the new online platform, their knowledge was incredible and extremely helpful.

We sorted branding which is now being used on all packaging, business cards & will also be on all online platforms when launched.

I have worked with Laurence Carey directly for most of the meetings he is the business owner. I also worked with a graphics designer for the branding art work, sorry cant remember his name.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The progress is ongoing as there are so many dimensions to what we are doing.

I had meetings when they were needed as the project progressed. I was kept in the loop concerning the branding via email and telephone as well as the first couple of meetings in person. There communication is brilliant. No matter how I found things confusing as was learning alot they were so approachable and made everything so clear.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The whole way through our journey Squid Group was totally dedicated to the project. They certainly did their research on our industry and knew exactly what we are trying to achieve. They think outside the square and come up with some amazing ideas that we would not have thought of. They are at the top of their game.

Totally happy with everything we have achieved with their expertise.
