I’m the CTO of a Canadian non-profit organization that provides emergency medical information services. We support Canadians with medical conditions and special needs through customized medical identification products, a 24/7 emergency hotline, and secure electronic health records.

What specific goals or objectives did you have when hiring SpireHub Softwares Pvt Ltd.?

We reviewed a number of off-the-shelf LMS solutions but found that they either did not provide the functionality and flexibility we needed or became cost-prohibitive for the number of learners we expect to support. As a non-profit, we needed a solution that met our functional requirements, could integrate with our existing systems, and remained within our budget.

What was the scope of their involvement?

SpireHub designed and developed a custom LMS platform and integrated it with our CRM and existing digital environment. Their work included the core learning platform, learner and course management functionality, authentication and user access, course tracking, and support for SCORM-based learning content. They have also continued to work with us after the initial development to test, refine, and improve the platform.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The project delivered a functional LMS that meets our core requirements without the licensing costs associated with many commercial LMS platforms. We now have a platform that we can use for different learner audiences and expand as our education programs grow. The project was completed within the agreed budget and timeline.

How did SpireHub Softwares Pvt Ltd. perform from a project management standpoint?

Very well. The team has been responsive and flexible throughout the project. The team communicates excellently through virtual meetings and chat, and they respond quickly when questions or issues arise. They have been proactive in investigating problems and have generally turned around fixes and changes quickly. Most importantly, they have been straightforward to work with and have remained focused on delivering what we need.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their responsiveness and willingness to work collaboratively with us stand out. They took the time to understand what we were trying to accomplish rather than simply building to a specification. When issues arose during testing, they were quick to investigate and work through them with us. For a smaller organization with a limited budget, that flexibility and partnership have been particularly valuable.

Are there any areas they could improve?

As with any custom development project, some requirements evolved as we began testing the platform with real users. Earlier definition of some of the detailed user experience and administrative requirements could have reduced a few rounds of refinement. That said, SpireHub has been very responsive to our feedback and has worked collaboratively with us to address the issues we identified.
