Spaceberry Studio

BACKGROUND

Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m a senior product manager for a tech company. We make custom platform solutions.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Spaceberry Studio?

We needed help with the designs of our projects.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We’ve worked with Spaceberry Studio on several UI/UX projects. We’ve done website and mobile applications, but we predominantly create platforms. We usually give them a detailed scope document with the elements we want to include and some competitors. They also do a lot of research on similar platforms to put it all together.

From there, Spaceberry Studio creates the mock-up screens and design. They use Figma for the designs.

What is the team composition?

We work with two designers and a project manager.

How did you come to work with Spaceberry Studio?

We’d already used them for previous projects, so I had them in mind when I had this project coming up. They were perfect for it.

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent $10,000 so far. We work on a monthly basis based on the scope that we give them for the month. We always ask for changes, so it’s not a fixed price.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with them in October 2023, and our relationship is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Spaceberry Studio has produced excellent designs across various projects, so we keep using them. We can give them minimal feedback and direction, but they still come up with great designs that are perfect for what we need.

How did Spaceberry Studio perform from a project management standpoint?

We discuss timeframes when we initially talk to them and give them the deliverables. If they think the proposed deadline is too tight, they return with feedback to work together. They always deliver what we want on time based on what we agreed.

Moreover, Spaceberry Studio works well and pays great attention to detail. Although our projects have many scope changes, they’re accommodating and quick to make changes and updates. We like working with them.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

Alevtyna (Project Manager) is super responsive and great at communicating. She always asks questions to ensure everyone is on the same page and she has the correct information. If we don’t respond to her, she follows up with me so we can keep the project moving.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re impressed by how quickly they can work for us. Spaceberry Studio produces designs in a matter of weeks, which is a short time. Whenever we come back to them with comments from a meeting with interns or clients, we give them the changes, and they update everything quickly.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They have various designers working on different projects. It’d be great to say when we like a person for the project, but it’s up to them with their resourcing.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Speak to them openly about what you’re thinking for the project from the start. Make sure you give them as much information as possible and talk to them about different elements. They can offer suggestions before you get started.

Our goal was a complete rebranding and an improved user experience on our B2B and B2C customer platforms. The platforms are primarily mobile applications with some functionality built as a web application and we are more than pleased with the result. After presenting our current applications, we went through our list of goals and created several milestones to achieve them.

The inputs from the UX/UI guys were really great and the design decisions were justified in a comprehensible manner.
