Please describe your company and your position there.

My name is Siddharth Mathai and I am the founder of Qfuss. Qfuss is a cloud-based on-demand mentorship platform that helps individuals connect with industry experts/leaders, who will guide them personally and professionally.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire Softvolt, and what were your goals?

Our platform (website) had been in production for three years, thanks to the efforts of our in-house staff. We wanted to switch to a mobile-friendly platform as our traffic grew and, in this day and age, the majority of our consumers accessed the website via their smartphones. We hoped to gain traction and reach a new consumer base of Students by taking this step.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We contacted our startup network, and a number of them recommended Softvolt to us. We were familiar with their work and booked an interview with them. Their answer was immediate, and they had a few product design suggestions that helped us think in a different path.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We used PHP and NodeJS to create our code. On top of that, the team had to build. There were three stages of the project. They presented us with a mockup of the new platform during the initial phase.

They implemented all of the previously discussed deliverables in the next phase, which also included beta testing. Bug fixes and last-minute suggestions were applied during the final phase. They used the GIT repository to establish a dummy URL so that we could track daily progress and, if necessary, run parallel tests.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Mr. Ashiq the CEO himself was our main point of contact. The team comprised of a JAVA developer, a full stack developer, and a UI/UX designer.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Customers, both old and new, adored the new design. We witnessed a 30 percent increase in user time spent on the platform as a result of the enhanced customer retention. Additionally, traffic increased by 60%. The interface was well received by the targeted target audience of students.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Their responses were prompt right from the beginning. Every other day, we had update meetings, and the team was completely open about its progress. They gave us at least a week or ten days' notice if there would be any delays. We usually used WhatsApp to communicate. The code source was Github, and bug reporting were handled by JIRA.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We never felt like we were working with an agency; rather, we felt like they were members of our team. They provided us with product design suggestions, conducted daily testing, and always maintained open lines of contact. They took the time to explain things to us, even if we didn't understand what they were saying.

Prior to the handover, they made sure we were familiar with the code so that we could handle any small adjustments ourselves.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Nothing that we could point out, there were few bugs along the way but that is part of the developmental process.
