We were seeking a software development team that truly wanted to partner with us in taking our business to the next level. This involved developing our own internal software that aligned with our unique business model of serving both B2B and B2C markets, specifically in the sports apparel space. The key deliverable was a web-based software that our internal team could use from all aspects of our business - A to Z.

Project management was ideal; we primarily worked with Prateek and Pradeep. Milestones were delivered on time and when we provided additional feedback, they were able to jump on each item swiftly. There were instances when we desired to move things faster in terms of timeline, and their team was able to be nimble to fit our needs.

I'm a technology director of an efficiency hub. We provide services mainly to the hospitality industry. Some of our prominent clients are pub chains with thousands of venues. We offer entertainment, door supervision, and cleaning services to those companies. In addition, we ensure they get a good service from their providers.

What challenge were you trying to address with SoftRadix Technologies?

We were building a technology platform and needed to develop a proof of concept (POC). We also needed to prove that some of the ideas we came up with would work from a technology perspective.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We already had our own IT functions, so we used SoftRadix Technologies for technical spikes and investigative work. They built mobile apps for us in Flutter, exercising some of our requirements. For example, if we had to check a company number or someone registering with us, SoftRadix Technologies would’ve done a POC to devise how we’d check the company number and ensure it was a valid number known to the UK government.

SoftRadix Technologies did the POCs for two mobile apps for us. The first was the approval app, which venue managers could use to show the work done. The idea of the app was to allow users to go in and amend any costs they disagreed with. The apps were compatible with Android and iOS devices.

We validated the builds. They delivered all the work we asked for, and we got to the point where we had functioning flows. Once we get the confidence from the POC, we’ll put it into a proper build.

Project management was good. We never had any problems, and their availability was good as well. Due to the time zone, sometimes we would ask a question and wouldn’t speak with them until the following day. Aside from that, we were able to connect quickly. We used Upwork messaging and Teams for communication.

They had excellent domain knowledge of what was possible to do on a mobile application.

No, we were very happy with them.

They’ve done an amazing job so far — they’re quick to execute my vision and any specifications for our product. They also have an extremely fast turnaround, and the quality of their work is very robust. Overall, they’ve exceeded expectations.

We found Soft Radix through Upwork.com. We conducted a intero call with Saurav Garg over zoom and we’re blown away. His technical expertise and communication skills were excellent. Him and his team have impeccable credentials.

The scope of work was originally 5 milestones, which we later expanded to 6 milestones to iron-out extra work we tacked on at the end. The deliverables was a GitHub repo, with a working iOS build written in Swift and Swift UI.

I was in contact only with 1 person (Saurav) who managed this project, but I assume there were at least two other developers that reports to him.

We originally had 5 milestones and were shooting for end of August release. The Soft Radix team was able to squeeze in an additional milestone for extra features and added In-app Purchases by the targeted due date.

Project management was conducted over a few technologies: - email - direct messaging over upwork.com when our time zones were in an ideal time frame for comms - Figma for designs and comments/feedback and hand-off - GitHub for revision control and Testflight for beta testing Given the difference between IST and EST we set the expectation at the beginning that we would work async over email as much as possible and to only zoom or direct message if absolutely necessary.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The speed and breadth of Soft Radix is incredible. We would often be in a spot where I would give feedback, and the next day it would be resolved. They are very fast, and produce high quality applications. But I was probably most impressed with them when I didn’t have to give feedback, which was often! Soft Radix has great intuition and was able to pick up our designs and develop them effortlessly without error.

I have no negative feedback to share! Soft Radix has honestly been an amazing partner. We will definitely be sourcing them again for software development again :)

We had a few discovery sessions where we detailed the scope of work, our goals, and our vision for an end product. The staff at SoftRadix were attentive, gave great feedback, and made us feel comfortable with moving forward with them. We hold daily weekday standups with the PM, and go over in detail progress made on development efforts. Currently we are running iOS (developed in flutter), firebase backend, and stripe for payment processing. Features include push notifications, location services, messaging, interactive UI elements, etc.

A project manager was assigned to our project and we meet with him on a daily weekday basis. For troubleshooting support, the PM, at times, would include a developer or DBA from their team to support and join the stand up session. However, 95% of the time we work with just the project manager assigned to our effort. Very convenient.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Within 5 months of inception, we are live in the app store and slowly gaining users. We currently hold a 5 star rating. The team was able to adapt to scope changes and worked with us at every step of the way. Within 1 month of being live, we've released 2 updates with bug fixes, UI improvements, and feature enhancements.

The project manager is very easy to communicate with, and makes himself available whenever convenient for us. This is especially appreciated due to the time zone difference (we are Eastern standard time). We use slack primarily for communication, and dropbox for document sharing.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The team at Soft Radix Technologies is incredibly versatile. They are a full stack development company that employs developers, database engineers, user interface, and graphic designers. They are adaptable to our changes, and the project manager provides consistent improvement ideas, and feedback in our pathfinding sessions.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The programming language used was a bit of a surprise (flutter / dart) as we would have assumed a native language such as Swift for iOS. However, this was more so due to a lack of a solid technological architecture upfront as per our requirements. The Softradix team chose the simplest solution, and in the end the app works beautifully.

After we helped guide them through it they became experts at it and have been doing our blockchain integration and website building for 6 months now.
