To identify the best way of migrating current Alteryx workflows to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), the team examined our existing Alteryx workflows closely. Thus, they could easily identify possible concerns and dependencies, realizing a smooth transition in the process. Together we created an architecture for GCP environment including BigQuery project itself along with datasets, tables, views as well as procedures and functions. This migration process was done carefully therefore each workflow was migrating then comparing it’s data against original data sets. Also this team did optimizations such as clustering and partitioning that significantly enhanced performance and efficiency of these migrated workflows within this new cloud environment.
