What challenge were you trying to address with Socialistics?

I needed support with social media marketing because marketing is my weakness. I didn’t enjoy it and wasn’t doing a good job of it.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Socialistics provides social media marketing services on LinkedIn and Meta. They also create graphics and a couple of under-one-minute videos for social media every month. If we have a marketing promotion or something and I need to switch up in the middle of the month, Socialistics creates additional content or new content that wasn’t on the schedule to ensure it fits with my current marketing promotions.

How did you come to work with Socialistics?

I had known Jason for a while before Socialistics. When I purchased my company in 2023, I remembered our past experiences together. I picked up the phone and reached out to see what he was doing, and he had Socialistics. I decided to sign up because I remembered Jason had character and ethics and was good at spitballing ideas. We had a conversation where I met the team that would work on the project.

We started working together in January 2024, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’ve seen an increase in leads over the last year. We want to ensure there’s an ROI based on our investment. We’ve seen leads come through, and putting content out there helps with brand awareness. I was very inconsistent with that before working with Socialistics, and we’re seeing more engagement now, especially on LinkedIn.

How did Socialistics perform from a project management standpoint?

They deliver the work on time and within budget. If anything, I’m the one who doesn’t respond in a timely manner, but they’re really patient about that, too. We use Google Drive to share photos and graphics. We have a call once a month to check in and go over reports and anything that’s on the schedule. Nicole and I text because that is the fastest way to communicate. I can text her if something needs to be changed or if I have an idea. They send me a link to all the scheduled posts and videos so I can review the copy, graphics, and videos to ensure that it’s what I want. I can leave notes, and they make modifications.

Are there any employees from the service provider's team that you would like to give a shout-out to in this review?

I love Nicole. She’s always available, and it's super easy to reach her. She responds fast and makes me feel like she’s a part of my team.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Socialistics' work exceeds my expectations, and they’re easy to work with. If there are any tweaks or anything we need to do, they go back and do it. They help us get the content out in our voice even though they do it.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I’ve been pretty happy with them. Nothing’s coming to mind that I’ve been upset about or disappointed in.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

When you start, you have to be patient. If you’re not willing to commit to 6–9 months of creating content and getting some consistency out there, it won’t work. Marketing isn’t something you can jump in and out of; you have to be consistent in your messaging. If you’re willing to make a long-term commitment, I absolutely recommend Socialistics. They take into account your ideas. I’ve never felt like any of my ideas were bad. They’ve always been able to take my feedback and create what I was hoping the posts would look like.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Socialistics creates monthly social media campaigns in the hotel at various outlets. I send the ideas to Nicole (Senior Account Manager), and she develops ideas that she sends back to me. We work on the campaign ideas until we get a finished product, and Socialistics sends a link for me to approve the campaign online. Then, the team posts ads on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, and LinkedIn, and we collaborate in creating the campaigns' assets.

Nicole is my primary contact with Socialistics. Other colleagues are on the calls, but I interact less with them.

Socialistics was already engaged with my company when I was hired, but I believe the team was contacted through a referral.

I started working with Socialistics in July 2023, and our engagement is active.

Socialistics' campaigns have increased our business significantly. That’s our only form of advertising, and our restaurants are always full. The team delivers great-quality work, and I enjoy working with them. Socialistics offers me good ideas and is a solid team that follows through.

Socialistics managed our SMM. They helped promote some of our book titles and categories across social media platforms that they felt most fitting which included Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, TikTok, and Pinterest. They were responsible for pushing our content out through ads and posts and identifying appropriate audiences within each platform. In addition, they created content for the platforms.

Kimberly (Project Manager) handled our accounts and Kimberly (Social Media Specialist) handled the paid ads. They both communicated effectively and worked very well with our internal staff to develop content and create assets, and promote our titles across the platforms.

We vetted 3–4 companies and Socialistics was the best fit.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Socialistics provided results for us based on the solid ads they created. They did a wonderful job reassessing, understanding, and analyzing the benefits of the tests. Through our analysis, there weren’t a lot of real results in terms of sales or huge upticks in consumers or file sizes. We need to reevaluate what we’re going to do. Once we have the budget to do it again, they will certainly be at the top of our list to consider.

Project management was excellent. We had a very collaborative and communicative process with the Socialistics team. They delivered on time and on budget. They kept us informed.

We were impressed by how Socialistics understood our book titles and what we wanted to communicate.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Some of the creatives could be improved but part of that is understanding our company a little bit better. From what they knew, they did a good job. If we continued to work together, they would improve in those areas.

Be specific about the project you want and what the scope of the work is. Understand what the nature of that relationship is and what you’re trying to accomplish. As long as you assess metrics and define what the project is, they’ll do their best work.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We spent around $200,000 on social ads with Socialistics over a 7-month period. Meta ads were profitable, but all other platforms were unprofitable. After paying Socialisitcs' monthly fee, they ads they managed lost money overall.

Yes, they delivered the paid and organic creatives on time each month.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

There's nothing unique about Socialistics. Quite frankly, they are a dime-a-dozen ad agency. But they did deliver all of their creatives and reports on time.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Socialistics could have done differently?

There's nothing exceptional about their work. It became clear after several months of working with them that they will only deliver average results at best. Considering there are literally 10s of thousands of agency options out there, why settle for an average agency? There are freelancers on Upwork and Fiverr who can outperform them for a fraction of the price.

Overall, Socialistics has helped us lower our cost per thousand impressions (CPM) rate and increase our click-through rate (CTR), which are our main KPIs.

How did Socialistics perform from a project management standpoint?

Socialistics is excellent at project management. They provide us with weekly, monthly, and quarterly result reports. We have constant communication with Socialistics through Slack and email. We also have Google Meet calls once a week. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I’m most impressed with Socialistics’ great attention to detail. I can send them a request and trust that they’ll accomplish it. Moreover, Socialistics is good at suggesting new campaign ideas — they’re experts in their industry.

I’d like it if Socialistics suggested more testing ideas. However, I’ve already talked to Joanna, and Socialistics is working on it.  

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I recommend to dig into the reports Socialistics sends because they show a lot of helpful insights. Additionally, I recommend having clear and measurable goals; this way, it’ll be easier for Socialistics to meet them.

Socialistics is great to work with. I feel that they are part of my team. They listen to my concerns, incorporate feedback, work toward solutions. They are completely open to ideas that get us to our goal. No matter the situation they are always pleasant and solutions based.

One of the requests was to upgrade our organic posts. Their creatives are beautiful, on point, and quick. There's a fast time difference on our team as I'm located in Honolulu, HI and they're on the east coast, but they make it work. In fact, I'm I night owl and some of our most productive conversations have been at midnight HST.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Socialistics could have done differently?

Although they have a great system for tracking digital creative, it would be great if there were additional sort features.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Jason had worked with a colleague in Seattle and the colleague highly recommended him. For a number of months, Jason met with me and members of the Committee of the 3 practice groups to help us understand his services. He was very generous with his time.

I haven't yet been able to quite understand the results as this is more of a campaign like "Got Milk" than marketing for a company. So far, the social media ads look great, and I understand the engagement by the public is good.

Perhaps having a better understanding of the topic prior to beginning the campaign ads. But they came up to speed pretty quickly. If I had to pick something, that would be it.

I’m the VP of the Full-Service Agency. We manage and execute marketing strategies for businesses that need marketing support, don’t have an internal marketing department, or are trying to expand their marketing department without increasing the headcount.

Social media is an essential component for any company, and our goal is to represent our client's brands and get people to engage with and ultimately support and utilize their products. We hired Socialistics to help us with one of our accounts.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Socialistics did a complete audit of what the client was doing on their social media, and put together a recommendation based on that data. Factors that went into the recommendation were the client’s location, the industry they were in, and their competitors. Socialistics then put together a step-by-step blueprint for us to follow on how that client should be approaching social media. 

The blueprint was designed to be executed on all major social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok. They also created content boards for us and made sample advertisements to show to the client when we met with them.

The project management was fantastic, and they paid attention to every detail. They were responsive and always available to make appointments if we needed to meet. We communicated via email and Google Meet.

They gave us everything we needed and nothing we didn’t. Everything was detail-oriented, and they brought things to our attention that we never would have considered. They went above and beyond with creating content for us to give to our client, and made the process so much easier. What was the scope of their involvement?

Socialistics did social media management for us. They had a schedule they followed to post on our social media channels regularly with the material and assets their team created.

They also did programs to find influencers interested in reposting content. Socialistics also encouraged follower interaction by giving away prizes. In addition, they were instrumental in managing a scholarship campaign we put out.

In terms of tools, they used Seek Socially and High Social TikTok to take care of our social growth needs.

They were always on top of everything, pushing new content for us to approve. Their team was great at pivoting and leading a proactive approach to self-manage and taking care of what could slow us down.

Regarding communication, we used email and had biweekly meetings to review and discuss potential gaps.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

I wasn't part of the team that chose them, however members of that team did mention that their positivity and transparency were two leading factors in their decision.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

Our social media goals were somewhat atypical, in that our industry is so niche. The team worked very closely with us for the first two months to develop creative content that fit our needs and our company feel. All the feedback we gave them on their work was addressed quickly and professionally. They really used to adjust the content. They really listened to what we wanted. Now that we are over a year in, we have meetings at least once a month and our team is always responsive and helpful for anything we need.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We didn't have an Instagram page and barely used our Facebook page before hiring Socialistics, and had little application traffic on our website. Now website applications (where our social media posts direct applicants) make up a third of all our candidates.

Very effective. They address any questions or ideas we have within the day, and the immediately communicate any questions or clarifications that they have.

We admire their willingness to listen and work with us to find our social media voice. They've accurately represent our company brand.
