Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the marketing manager of PriceReel, a media company that operates an easy-to-use online platform that helps users compare prices, access deals from over 1,000 merchants, and connect with a community for shopping tips and discussions.

What challenge were you trying to address with SMBee?

We needed to create a new revenue stream for our clients who submit their products to our directory. By offering digital services, we wanted to increase our ARPU.

What was the scope of their involvement?

SMBee has done all the fulfillment for web design and SEO. The team has built websites for our clients, including redesigns, and optimized them for better online rankings.

We’ve worked with 5–7 teammates from SMBee.

How did you come to work with SMBee?

Someone referred SMBee to me. I chose them over other options because they were in my geographic location, their pricing fit our budget, they offered good value for the cost, and their company values aligned with ours.

So far, we’ve spent around $100,000 with them.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in January 2023, and our engagement is ongoing.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We measure success through delivery windows and ensuring SMBee delivers on time. For SEO, we monitor rank changes month by month. We also measure client success by looking at retention rates. Over 90% of clients have seen rank improvements within the first 60–90 days. For some clients, SMBee has also joined virtual meetings to explain more technical findings, which has contributed to retention.

How did SMBee perform from a project management standpoint?

SMBee is local, so it’s like working with an agency. One of the reasons we chose to work with them was that we could call or email them throughout the day, which has been critical to ensuring timely client management and issue resolution.

What did you find most impressive about them?

SMBee’s flexibility is impressive. Some partners we’ve worked with are very rigid with their deliverables and client requests. SMBee is always willing to accommodate and work with our requests. Even more urgent requests are always facilitated.

Are there any areas they could improve?

When we first started working with them, their platform had fewer features. However, they’ve consistently added more features over time, so they’ve naturally resolved this issue through their platform updates.

Our agency was looking for tools to help us sell, grow and retain new and existing clients for our digital marketing services. We wanted to have a dashboard where we could have sales tools and somewhere where we could order services and have them fulfilled while having visibility of out clients and their services plus reporting.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were able to grow and retain our clientelle by atleast 40-50% within 2the first quarter after using SMBee.

SMBee consistently communicated with us on time and delivered as they promised. What we like about them is that they have always been straightforward and transparent with us. Infact, we are still using their services (this review asked for an end date but we did not end anything with them).

Since they are a North American staffed company it has greatly benefitted us when it comes to time differences and communication. They are quite responsive and knowledgeable about marketing.

Nothing comes to mind as we have been very satisfied with their services.
