We initiated our partnership with approximately five years ago, initially 5 developers, which has since expanded to 12 members. 

• We worked with our Smartexe team to develop a scalable WebRTC-based backend running on various clouds (GCP and Amazon). 
• Developed SDKs for various platforms such as Android, iOS, AppleTV, Web, RDK and others 
• A portfolio of Video experiences based on the scalable service and the SDKs for our c ustomers At the moment, the team focuses on maintenance and support.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Working in collaboration with the Smartexe team, we successfully implemented various products such as the Watch Together experience, A generic Synchronization SDK for video players, an Ultra-Low latency video streaming service, and more... Our system can support hundreds of thousands of concurrent video connections, it has a worldwide presence (PoPs) and very high availability.

The Smartexe team was dedicated to supporting us through all the stages of the project. We created a flexible management structure. Depending on schedules and deliverables we have daily meetings, management meetings (Weekly or bi-weekly as needed), and demos - working in an agile way and implementing Kanban or Scrum as needed.

In terms of delivery, we find our teams hard-working and dedicated, willing to invest time effort, and their mind into solving problems and delivering complex products. From Sceenic's perspective, we always had quick responses and support to the various situations we encountered.

I am very impressed by the way they address our needs, quickly mobilizing the necessary resources to solve both resource-related and personal concerns. We were looking to expand its development team and sought Smartexe to provide development experts to strengthen our in-house development teams and keep project development on schedule.

We interviewed several development outsourcing teams, and felt that Smartexe had the best combination of skills and value, including the ability to easily expand the team as needed

The Smartexe team assisted with the backend development of our project. The platform required Python experts and Smartexe helped us to update the version and to develop new tasks.

We have hired currently 3 developers from Smartexe: 2 of them are Python developers and 1 is responsible for Big Data analytics. These developers work closely with our in-house development teams to define tasks and set goals.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our team works with Smartexe developers remotely. They have consistently shown to be available, including for immediate support. Our in-house team appreciates that they are improving the overall system, not just performing tasks.

Our teams have daily meetings with the Smartexe developers (Microsoft Teams) and we use Monday for project management. We have a 2-week long sprint and retro.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Smartexe allows us to add additional experts (based on our need) as required with ease. Smartexe arranges introductions to qualified candidates that are interviewed and tested by our development teams and hired when matched.

I am the VP product and operations for one of the biggest online casino and sportsbook operators in Romania.

For what projects/services did your company hire Smartexe, and what were your goals?

The goal was to create a website, mobile app for iOS and Android for the casino which accumulates different online games and allows users to play simultaneously, make a deposit, withdraw money, and many other features. We’ve got our designers’ team and we're looking for developers to implement the idea into life.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

My friends recommended me to contact Smartexe. We had a call with CEO Yurii and were impressed by the desire to figure out what we need, the ideas of how it can be done and the offer was really good.

We have started development in January 2019 with 5 people in the team, and the first release was in June. The front-end was written in Angular, the back-end was developed on Python. From our side — we are preparing a list of new features with descriptions and designs. Before starting implementation we discuss all, and figure out our weak points and select the best way for feature development.

We have two weeks sprints. During the sprint, we get the status of the development process and testing process. At the end of the sprint, we are updating all new features and fixes for stage env, and checking how it will perform on our prod. It helps us to prevent issues and get excellent results on the production site.

My team includes 15+ people. We have PM at Smartexe, who makes communication and estimation easier. The team consists of front, back-end developers, Android and iOS experts, QA engineers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

They have done a bunch of things for us. Smartexe team provides not only efficient site and app development, but efficient maintenance services and code review. Also, together with the team, we have passed the security audit, which was being performed for about 3 months. In general, we have been working with the remote team for 3+ years.

We’re working with a dedicated PM who’s in charge of organizing our remote team. We use Trello as our project management tool, and we communicate via Skype and Zoom. Also, we have daily stand-ups and two weeks sprints.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I find one of the most impressive things is flexibility combined with professionalism. They are open to suggestions and ready to prove their opinion if they disagree with some points. The team always tries to meet the timelines and needs. Also, it is very easy to communicate with the team, they are amazing guys.

I can’t think of anything off the top of my head.

The system efficiently gathered diverse data packages, including 2D documents, 3D images, product views, and simulations. It seamlessly integrated with various medical equipment and applications such as Inbody, Piccolo Xpress, and the NIH application on iPad. This integration ensured the swift collection of essential data, which was then consolidated and stored in a centralized location. Moreover, due to its cross-platform development, the software facilitated the interpretation of crucial data for patients on the TV-screen and enabled rapid access to patient records from different devices. The resulting product not only saved valuable time for doctors but also streamlined the process of data collection and interaction with patients.

The website helps maids to find work according to their requirements (price, location, etc.) and manage their schedule. It allows you to manage orders (accept or cancel) in a few clicks. Also, the website helps to find work as close to your location as you want. You can put the desired time for getting to work and the website plans the route and calculates the time and finds the necessary bus according to the timetable. For clients, the website allows them to choose a maid according to specific parameters, view feedback, and hire a cleaning assistant online on regular or part-time job without third-party services. The website is mobile friendly, so you can easily check all data from your phone.

I have been working with a team consisting of 6-10 people, depending on the current project needs. I’ve been working with front, back-end developers, a QA engineer, a project manager, a designer, a motion designer, a SEO expert.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The team developed the website from scratch, also the promo and animated video were created for the website. You can find it on my company YouTube channel.
