That is what I call customer service! With the new project manager the whole working process went more smoothly, transparent...simply better. I could call, schedule the next milestones and appointments whenever I wanted of course liasing with the PM first. We even worked on May 1....incredible commitment and performance.

Not yet I am in a time-to-market phase...having shown the videos friends, families and first potential customers. However, what I can say which totally blew my mind off, was that I could convince with these videos business partners who are now invested in my company.

very good! we used google drive, whatsapp and zoom etc. the most straight-forward tools for document/ project management for startups here and setting up communciation, time frames and delivery dates went very well and instantly. GREAT!

Thus, there appeared a high-level combination of our materials and Slon Media's ideas and proficiency.

Slon Media team has excellent project management skills. Both our sides occurred in the situation of "distance working", nevertheless we managed to tune up a process of our communication without even meeting each other in person. The guys were very responsive to all our comments.

We've hired Slon Media to make a promo video for launch on Product Hunt, an aggregator of new products released all over the world. OneSoil is a technically complex product that uses machine learning technologies and satellite imagery to predict field borders, calculate NDVIs for fields with a high accuracy to name the least. To illustrate the power of our tech stack and explain it to the whole world we decided to build an interactive OneSoil Map that provides information about every field in the USA and Europe. It contains information on 60 million fields and 27 crops in 44 countries. ll data is provided for three years. Using the map, one can explore national and regional trends, as well as check the development of a specific field.

What were your goals for this project?

So, to have a successful launch on Product Hunt, we had to create an astonishing video that will explain the awesomeness of the Map in less than 1 minute. Since video is the first visual part that people see while surfing the products published on Product Hunt, we wanted it to be the one that will simulate people to check the project and then support us by upvote. Then, we used the video to promote our Map in social media and to tell the story about our startup at exhibitions.

How did you select this vendor?

Slon Media is a video production company that almost anyone from the Belarusian startup community knows about. Before starting a project with us, they had already created a few videos for other cool startups like WannaBy, Rocketbody that allowed startups to have great marketing results. I liked these videos and the way Slon Media communicates in the media so I decided to make a video with them. Moreover, we had offices on the same floor, which is very convenient.

The video has an epic beginning where we say that all the data about the fields is in one place. Then, we show the map on various platforms and start describing Map's USPs: the number of fields, their beauty, crops growing there, ratings and trends in crop production. The video finishes with the words about ML technologies we apply for building our product. The process started with discussing the idea of the video. The CEO of the company Vadim's suggested to make something similar to Apple promo video. We were impressed by the video clip and agreed to begin with this concept. Since we had tight deadlines, I started to make script for a video with my colleague (she's a very talented writer) while Slon Media commenced preparing the visual materials. There was just one little problem (though it was quite a big one) - the Map hadn't been ready before we began to work over the video. So, Slon had to make many animated things without a ready interactive map. We want to thank them for being so understanding! As a result, many parts of the video were built out of pieces which was very time-consuming for the production team. But they did it in time!

Slon has provided a project management Daria and a video poduction specialist we worked closely with.We worked together throughout the planning stages of the video. We've made quite a few of plot iterations before we agreed on the final one. In the end, the video has been reviewed by OneSoil cofounders and has undergone some changes. The video helped us to bring the message to the Product Hunt users so that they upvote OneSoil Map. We've become a 5th product of the day and 4th product of the week. Still, it wasn't the ending. We have a happy one - OneSoil Map has become a product of the year and got a Golden Kitty Award as the best AI & Machine Learning Product of 2018. Right now the map has around 2.5K views and 26 upvotes.

Everything was fine. Since we had to finish the project on short notice, we had to work hard even at the weekends. Daria was always online and managed the team in a great way. I sent the comments to the video via a Google Doc where I mentioned the time and the changes to be made. As a result, all the enhancements've been done correctly.

Slon Media can take even the most difficult project, and make it great. The guys are professional and really helpful. They always find the best solution for a customer even if the resources (time, materials, budget) are limited. They're organized and have a creative approach to video making.

The video editors didn't always pay attention to the details. I think that this happened because of the rush. I'd also recommend them to use some program for better video commenting as it's not always convenient to make it via Google Docs or Messenger.
