Please describe your company and your position there.

I'm CIO of Lviv Handmade Chocolate. Lviv Handmade Chocolate produces handmade chocolate sweets in Ukraine. It has about 50 location in Ukraine and 4 in Azerbaijan.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire siteGist, and what were your goals?

We found a company which could create an e-commerce and website for us. At that moment we had the design of the site. The product had a lot of different integrations with API, for example, delivery, payments, tax office, ERP and loyalty system integrations.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We searched some companies and told with each of them. SiteGist was great in communications and in understanding of the product, not as a scope of tasks, but as in a whole product with a deep product mindset.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The scope was running e-commerce. We created functionality step by step from categories of products to client order flow with API integrations, including flows in the admin panel with different roles like a manager and warehouse. Technologies were PHP, JS, CSS, MySQL, Linux based servers.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked with the project manager and with developers, they were front-end software engineer, two back-end engineers, QA specialist and in the last stage SEO specialists. The designers' team was on our side.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We lunched new modern e-commerce. We were happy! We can't measure differences between old and new solutions because we don't have any date for old solution. But the number of orders was increasing all the time. In quarantine time, we increased more than 10 times. It was success by the optimization solutions in the site code and integrations and some updates.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Agile with a lot of good and easy communications. Trello was a primary task management tool.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We're impressed with their ability to create custom solutions. Product mindset (because I had an experience when the company work like with a project and the scope of the tasks). Ability to create good relationships for years! Great partner for a long time!

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I think, only enlarge company size to do more good products! :)
