After some initial changes they have put together a great team that has been consistently delivering on a weekly basis. The Singular Stories platform has been a great tool to have visibility of what is being worked on as well as prioritizing futuro work.

We had a bit of a rocky start while Singular understood the difference between an enterprise client and the fast moving startup that we are but they swiftly rearranged everything to adapt to our rhythm and needs.

We hired Singular to create a fully functional MVP using Flutterflow. I provided the UI/UX design and Singular's team managed the app development using Flutterflow, to publish the app on iOS and Android.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Every sprint, I was able to view and QA the progress that the team had made on the project.

The team was very responsive to how I wanted certain features to work or certain UI elements to look. The project leader was also very communicative and did a great job in managing all the tasks that were to be completed in a particular sprint. However, due to various Flutterflow challenges, some features were not accomplished (good to confirm beforehand) while few other tasks did get occasionally delayed. 

But the best part is that as a client, I only paid once the task had been completed as per the deliverables stated for each task. And 90% of the time, the initial estimate of story points for the task didn't change.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

What's great is that, as a non-technical founder, I feel as though I can actually trust a team to work on my project and I could see progress every two weeks. It's really hard to find such a team, especially being in different countries!

Are there any areas for improvement or something Singular Design could have done differently?

I felt that as a founder, I wanted to QA every part of the app in every possible scenario to check what could break. This was great, but it also meant I kept finding a lot of bugs which the QA team hadn't looked into. So, it would be great if testing is done absolutely thoroughly so that the client doesn't have to come back multiple times with things to be fixed. Other than that, the project did get delayed but nothing is really on time when it comes to development.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Singular Agency's prototype incorporated all the features we discussed in our design thinking brainstorming session and exceeded our expectations. The team delivered more features than we expected, which was amazing. When I signed up for the design thinking workshop, I thought it would be difficult to explain what I wanted. However, Singular Agency's team understood what I was trying to build. They were responsive and did a tremendous job putting all the ideas together to provide an excellent prototype.

How did Singular Agency perform from a project management standpoint?

Singular Agency delivered on time and communicated well with the milestones. We communicated via virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

Singular Agency's team's depth of knowledge exceeded our expectations. They were very good at building what we expected.

Singular Agency is building an Airtable base company-wide that each department will use as the main function of their responsibilities. The information is pulled from all sources to create a central hub to help us make sales, financial decisions, and vision casting. The departments involved in this process are accounts payable/accounts receivable (AP/AR), operations, field, marketing, human resources (HR), admin, and finance.

Singular was asked to take a core workflow that our users need and duplicate it in Flutter. We picked a workflow that would have been challenging to recreate in traditional custom software/frameworks. They were asked to create a feature that included more than one commonly used API's and AI to meet our users in the technology they are already in. 

They created a simple and easy sign-in process leveraging Google sign-up and sign-in, in addition to the feature workflow. We wanted a functional product that stakeholders and beta members could test. They were able to deliver this in less than 4 weeks. The application was also responsive for multiple devices, from Web to Mobile.

Singular's project management was top-tier. They were available anytime I needed it as a client. They were flexible while remaining accountable. They held consistent meetings to keep everyone on the same page and ensure the project moved forward. They didn't require significant communication overhead. I was impressed with the culture and lean methodology the entire team operated in.

Singular is the development team product teams dream about. They don't just talk about being agile they are agile. They are very relational and collaborative with their clients. The team’s intentional steps mitigated the headaches I generally encountered with development. They made what I hoped would be possible, a reality. Not just from a technical perspective but also from a strategy perspective.

I am excited to see Singulars work more public and visible! I think a hands-on application for potential clients to demo would impact Singular's buy-in. Especially for the individuals that aren't in the weeds of development, like investors and stakeholders.

Example: A B2B SaaS Expert would've been great becauseit would've helped us avoid some roadblocks we face with the software distribution.
