What challenge were you trying to address with Simplicity Concept Nigeria?

I needed someone to develop our website and mobile application.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Simplicity Concept Nigeria developed our website from scratch. We had a brainstorming session wherein we relayed our preferences, and their team shared a template we could use in case we needed to request alterations. We specifically needed a login feature for our users to access, so they could avail of our domains and hosting packages. Once we were satisfied with the development work they delivered, we proceeded with the website's implementation.

Additionally, we've tasked Simplicity Concept Nigeria with developing our mobile app. They've since finished the Android app and are still working on completing the iOS version. The mobile app can be downloaded by users who are interested in buying our domain names.

What is the team composition?

I work directly with five people. One of them is the lead developer.

How did you come to work with Simplicity Concept Nigeria?

I found Simplicity Concept Nigeria's team on Facebook while looking for potential teams to work with. I then reached out to them and relayed the outline of our project.

How much have you invested with them?

We've initially spent $4,000 on the website and mobile app, and we now pay a monthly rate of $2,500.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2020, and our engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Most web hosting companies in Nigeria don't have mobile apps, and we're one of the first companies to launch one — this leveraged our position in the market. Our clients can simply download the app and pick the domains they want, and we also send push notifications via the mobile app to further our goal of securing a higher sales rate.

Simplicity Concept Nigeria's developer has quickly addressed the site issue we've encountered a few months back to ensure that our platform is in its ideal state.

Whenever our clients require development services, we refer them to Simplicity Concept Nigeria as we've witnessed their expertise ourselves. We have a mutual partnership that allows both of our companies to send clients back and forth — their team gives us an average of 70 clients per month, and we give them a 15% discount whenever a new client approaches us through their efforts.

How did Simplicity Concept Nigeria perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate via WhatsApp. Simplicity Concept Nigeria meets all our deadlines. We've encountered a minor delay with one of their graphic designers, but that's been sorted out after they've boarded two more resources to support our pipelines. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Simplicity Concept Nigeria has an impressive response rate and customer service. They're always open to fixing any issues, even when addressing one requires them to work outside office hours.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could improve on advertising their services because not a lot of people know about their team yet.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Explain your project clearly, and they'll understand what you want. Simplicity Concept Nigeria is a great team to collaborate with.

What challenges were you trying to address with Simplicity Concept Nigeria?

They were in charge of creating our website and the web and mobile apps.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Simplicity Concept Nigeria is helping us to develop our project. We only gave them an idea of what we wanted, and they’ve taken care of everything from there, building everything from scratch.

The app is an e-commerce app available for Android and iOS that allows customers to see all of our products, place orders, pay, and checkout. It also sends notifications to delivery companies to pick orders and place deliveries.

What was the team composition?

In total, I’m in contact with about four people: the project leader, graphic designer, and a couple of developers.

How did you come to work with Simplicity Concept Nigeria?

I knew other companies that had worked with them with excellent results, so I had many references for their work.

How much have you invested in them?

We’ve spent around $5 million so far, but we expect to spend up to $19 million.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them around March 2021, and our collaboration is ongoing.

I’m really impressed with their work. So far, we’ve had awesome teamwork; they’ve been very precise, and they always make sure that we’re satisfied with what we’re getting.

How did Simplicity Concept Nigeria perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve met all deadlines and been very active and available anytime I need to contact them. We’ve communicated mainly via Whatsapp, phone calls, and email.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Simplicity Concept Nigeria has stood out for its communication skills and the fact that they make the results look and work just the way we want. Also, they’re pretty affordable and precise in time, and they’re great at teamwork.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don’t think I could say anything in that regard right now. However, even if they’re affordable for us, they might not be affordable for others, so they could maybe offer budgets for smaller companies.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Make sure you pay on time. Many companies have long or complex financial processes, so they take a long time to pay service providers. However, you’ll get a great product if you pay on time and according to your agreements with them.
