What challenge were you trying to address with Signature Video Group?

We had an issue with availability with our other video vendors, so we reached out to their team to help create content for our YouTube channel.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The first project that we worked on with them was a full day of shooting for a video explaining things we thought people should know about conciliation inspections. We’ve also recorded various interviews with our staff for one of our annual public meetings, as well as an informational series as well.

What is the team composition?

We always work with three particular members of their team, one of whom is the leader of the company, which is really assuring for us. There are usually 5–6 people in total, some of whom are freelancers who vary from time to time. The other two regular employees handle contact post-shoot for us.

How did you come to work with Signature Video Group?

I had worked with them at a previous company and was really impressed with their work at the time, so I was willing to vouch for them when the need came up at my current company.

We’ve spent about $50,000 in total.

We worked with them on a variety of projects throughout 2018–2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Their support for our team has had a huge impact on my staff’s stress levels just by being consistent and providing a vendor we can always count on for really high-quality work. They also go out of their way to source really cutting-edge camera technologies for our shoots, which helps make us look incredibly professional. We really appreciate their effort in that regard.

How did Signature Video Group perform from a project management standpoint?

I can’t speak to any project management tools they use, but they help us to plan out the shoot days very thoroughly. Their level of organization has made all of those processes very smooth. Communication is also always a priority, so it is very easy to reach them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their crew makes our employees feel incredibly comfortable regardless of whether they are on camera for the first time, which makes for even better videos in the end. I think their personal touch is not something you could find with almost any other vendor.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I am a huge supporter of these guys and have really loved everything they’ve done for us.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Signature Video Group’s video was played the night of our gala and inspired over $450,000 in donations. Since then, we’ve used it to promote our holiday campaign, which has currently raised over $120,000. Moreover, donor feedback was amazing; they were all very moved by the video. In fact, donor engagement spiked the day we shared the video online.

Signature Video Group was so passionate about what they did, and their creativity really brought the equipment to life. Overall, they were a pleasure to work with.

We were looking to raise money for a new fleet of stretchers for our hospital. We had an ambitious goal of replacing at least 15 stretchers.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Signature Video Group helped us produce an amazing video that told the story and life cycle of one stretcher at our hospital. We initially had a couple of preliminary calls with them to discuss our vision, where we wanted it to go, and what we were looking for. They also did a site visit, during which Chris toured our hospital to identify any key areas or barriers for filming. From there, their team proceeded with the work and handled the entire production process, including the filming and editing.

They were recommended to us by a donor we work with. We decided to work with their team because of their professionalism and passion. After watching their videos, we could really tell that they put their heart and soul into everything they do.

They don’t need to improve on anything — they did an incredible job, and we are beyond grateful to them.

What were your goals for this project?

The intent of this project was to create a trailer to drive sales and distribution.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor?

We selected Signature Video Group because of the creative talent and passion that they have exhibited throughout all their work that I have seen.

Signature Video Group screened the film, and then working with their creative staff wrote a trailer. After the proposal for the trailer was approved they edited the trailer, and did complete sound design and colour correction as well as all necessary motion graphics work.

Throughout the process we met several times with producers from signature video group to review the various stages of work as the project developed. We also communicated through email.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The trailer was a complete success. The film went on to win several film festivals and play all over the world. It later sold to distribution companies for both domestic and international sales. The trailer that Signature Video Group created played a key role in festival promotions and gaining distributor interest in the project.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

The workflow between our company and Signature Video Group was seamless. Honestly speaking they managed most of the work for us, and were prompt and professional in their communications with us and in getting approvals at the various stages of the project.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Signature Video Group impressed us with their creative insight into marketing. The process was simple and easy, and they produced extremely engaging work at a very competitive price.
