The scope of work for the Broya project was comprehensive, addressing various crucial aspects to enhance the store's functionality and improve the overall user experience:

• Theme Development and Customization:
  • Creation of a new Shopify theme from scratch, ensuring alignment with Broya's brand identity.
  • Focus on backend functionality improvements to maintain familiarity for returning customers.
• Redesigning the Discount System:
  • Overhaul of the existing hardcoded discount system for increased flexibility.
  • Implementation of a dynamic system for price adjustments and promotions, facilitating easier sales management.
• User Experience Enhancement:
  • Concentration on improving website intuitiveness and user-friendliness.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

1. Revamping the Discount System: We aimed to fix the hardcoded and malfunctioning discount system. Our goal was to ensure discounts were displayed and applied correctly throughout the website, especially on product pages and in the cart. 
2. Enhancing the User Experience: A significant goal was to create a more user-friendly and intuitive shopping experience. This included displaying potential savings on product pages before adding items to the cart, encouraging informed purchasing decisions. 
3. Increasing Average Order Value (AOV): By optimizing the display and application of discounts for larger quantities, our goal was to encourage bulk purchases and thus increase the store’s AOV. 
4. Creating a More Effective Subscription Section: Developing a custom, conversion-optimized subscription section on product pages was a key objective to boost Broya’s conversion rates. 
5. Long-Term Support and Partnership: Establishing an ongoing support system for Broya’s sales and store changes to ensure a durable and evolving online presence was also a primary goal.

Project was managed directly with the founder (myself) and we communicated via Slack. We didn't use online project management tools because our company is small and we had direct communication and consistent updates on the project.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We appreciated their ability to fully understand the technical issues and fix them quickly. Other development agencies had a tough time sorting this out for us.

Are there any areas for improvement or something SHOPIBRO could have done differently?

Sometimes communication is a little too technical and can be confusing for a non-technical person like myself. The goal of any development project to collaborate to achieve a solution that won't have any downstream effects. This was always understood but communication can be a bit more around the solution and how it is happening. Technical details can become confusing.

We hired Stefan to build a new website in an effort to improve our conversion rate, by making the site faster and making it easier for customers to find the products/information that they were looking for. He has helped us customize and launch a new Shopify theme, and has provided ongoing collection, product, cart and checkout page design and functionalities that align with our goal. 

Stefan also helps us with ongoing website issues, bugs, and cosmetic updates. His key deliverable was executing against our design briefs and providing quality, on time development.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Stefan helped us increase our conversion rate and site speed by 50%. Other conversion & traffic metrics also improved, like our Add to cart rate, reach checkout rate, bounce rate, time on site, pages viewed, etc

Stefan's project management was solid. We work on a task by task basis, but they're able to prioritize what's most important and deliver high-quality work on time.
