Purr helps LoyaltyLion on a range of different projects. From day to day bugs and issues, to updating and optimising our landing pages for the most user-friendly design. Szymon has been especially helpful around implementing SEO tech tasks.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Szymon has been great! One of the biggest accomplishments since working with Purr has been the international set up of our website. Szymon made the process of implementing this large project seamless and easy.

One of the biggest benefits of working with Purr is that they use the same tools that we already use within the company such as Slack and Trello. Szymon has also been very flexible with being cc'd into email chains with other external agencies.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Szymon is always willing to jump online to do a quick fix for us which is extremely helpful.

I’m the head of marketing at an intellectual property firm, and I oversee all the marketing activities and initiatives that the firm is involved in.

What challenge were you trying to address with Purr Digital?

We worked with Purr Digital to move our old website to an entirely new platform.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They started by moving the site from Silver Stripe to WordPress. It hosts all of our content with regard to patents, trademarks, and IP litigation, all the way through manufacturing to fintech for universities and public sector organizations. The site also includes plugins that link to our social media channels.

What is the team composition?

I’m not sure how many individuals were on the team in total, but we worked with two specific people. One was a project manager, and the other was their lead engineer.

How did you come to work with Purr Digital?

We’ve had a historical relationship with their company over the course of the past 5–6 years, so it was an easy decision to reach out to them for this particular move.

How much have you invested with them?

Our budget for the project was about £12,000 (approximately $15,700 USD) and we ended up spending closer to £16,000 (approximately $21,000 USD), which we were comfortable with.

What is the status of this engagement?

This specific project ran from August–December 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Another service provider handles our SEO and PPC projects, so a lot of our specific leads come in that way. However, our old platform was incredibly difficult to use and update without going to our website engineers.

We made the commercial decision to move to WordPress to save on engineer time, which has very much paid off so far. I am always very satisfied with the quality of their work, which is one of the main reasons we have continued to work with them for so long.

How did Purr Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project manager is incredibly diligent and organized as well, which makes the project very easy to handle from our end. Emma (Project Manager, Purr Digital) maintained communication back and forth, even as things became a little more complicated than we initially expected and did a great job of managing the relationship with us overall.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Purr Digital is a very personable company, which makes the engagement enjoyable for us to be involved in. They are great at breaking down technical aspects of the projects in ways that we can understand, which you don’t often get from a lot of highly skilled providers. I gain a lot of peace of mind from knowing that I can always just pick up the phone and have someone available to help.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We have a very honest relationship with them regarding feedback. Anytime we think their reporting could be clearer or they need to spend a little bit more time on QA before launch, or if they have any suggestions for us, that gets communicated and we adjust. They’ve always been open to improvements in that way, so we are very satisfied with their performance.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Constant communication is always the most important aspect of these kinds of projects. Make sure there is clarity in all of your deadlines and deliverables, and the project will go much more smoothly.

I’m an independent consultant that works with companies in the leisure industry, predominantly restaurants.

What challenge were you trying to address with Purr Digital?

We had numerous projects that we needed a dev partner for. We needed to redesign one end client’s website and build a new one as well as an app for a different client.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Purr Digital provided conceptualizing, developing, and testing services as needed. They followed the typical dev flow for each of the three projects. For the redesigned site, they audited the original site to evaluate its functionality and then worked with our internal designers to create new visualizations in line with the end client’s brand guidelines. They changed the booking engine (which was expensive) to a less costly option and also added a page for merchandise to be sold on the website. We’ve developed specific music content for the end client, and Purr Digital integrated the site with SoundCloud to make it accessible from the site, which is in WordPress, as requested by the end client.

For the second restaurant, it was a highly new concept with very few wireframes and sketches. However, Purr Digital took the visuals that the end client had and created a sleek website. The app was also loosely described, so they worked closely with the end client to brainstorm and iterate on a few ideas until they built something satisfactory.

Their CEO was our main point of contact. We had a team of about five people working on the projects.

We worked together from November 2018–April 2019.

They did top notch work and cared about the process, which showed in the final product. I’m proud of their work, and our end clients were happy as well, even the particularly demanding one.

How did Purr Digital perform from a project management standpoint?

They were a flexible team that had good project management. They were professional at all times and uses various tools to communicate, including email, phone calls, and WhatsApp.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The team is highly skilled and intelligent, providing creative solutions that improve the projects. They respect the end client’s brand and consistently refer to their brand guidelines to build something in line with their overall look and feel.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could provide more design notes for tracking.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Be prepared to answer a lot of questions because they’ll challenge your holistic vision to make it as good as possible. Ask for their input—they’re experts and will do a great job.
