I am the owner of Oneshot Media, a Minneapolis-based real estate photography and videography company. We are content creators for local realtors and apartment owners.

We were scraping by with a Squarespace website for 4 years but we knew we needed to upgrade as our business has grown substantially from our launch in 2016.

We needed a solution for our clients to book their services online, submit payment at checkout, and get their content delivered to their customer accounts. Reducing the amount of necessary personal contact with our customers was important to us, so we automated as much as possible.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

It was really important to me that they were experts in Woocommerce. After reviewing some of their past projects and knowing they had a focus on e-commerce, it made me confident enough to hire them for my project.

They were highly organized and had a system for everything. All meetings were recorded so that they didn't miss anything. They were very clear about every step in the process from the first few conversations, to the kick-off call, all the way to completion and launch.

Our key deliverable was a custom WordPress website powered by Woocommerce so our clients could pick any service, choose their time, and complete the order.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

We worked primarily with Sevy who was the project manager and occasionally with Simon. They are twin brothers and co-owners.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Our customers are thrilled with the ease of ordering and the improvement of the customer accounts! It makes our lives much easier because all of our clients can book through our website now, whereas before we had to manually book many different appointments.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I really liked that the person I was working with (Sevy) was actually the one building the website. This is important because then nothing was getting lost in translation. Every little detail we wanted gets done.

I’m a digital marketing manager for an e-commerce B2C company in the firearms industry.

What challenge were you trying to address with SG Web Partners?

We brought them on to redesign and redevelop our e-commerce website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We had an existing WordPress site so SG Web Partners did a refresh of the site and helped us more fully integrate the website purchases with our content customer management database, Zoho CRM.

What is the team composition?

We worked with two people Severyn (Co-Founder) and Simon (Co-Founder).

How did you come to work with SG Web Partners?

They were referred to us by our current SEO team. They submitted a proposal and we compared it with other proposals we received, ultimately deciding they were the best fit.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about $40,000 on the project and then we pay $1,300 per month for ongoing maintenance.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together between November 2019–February 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We haven’t had any issues with the site and our conversion rate has consistently been steady, which is positive.

How did SG Web Partners perform from a project management standpoint?

Their project management was excellent. We used Basecamp and that really helped keep track of all the elements of the project as well as where we were at with each individual task. When I have issues or questions, I would add it to Basecamp and then they updated their notes and quickly completed the task. It made everything very easy to follow and super clean. We also typically communicated through Basecamp as well or I would email them directly if I needed them for a specific reason.

What did you find most impressive about them?

One thing that really stood out to me was they jumped in and took it upon themselves to learn our customer management system. Our system isn’t commonly used, so they took the time to learn how to integrate the website into that program.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Overall they did a really good job, but I would say making sure that their communication is clear on the process and steps that are required.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be as detailed as possible with what the project and the scope are and being clear on any third-party connections that are required as well.

Aunt Fannie's makes natural, non-toxic household cleaning and pest control products. As the senior marketing manager, I ensure our marketing materials - including our website - are effectively communicating our brand values, message and product.

As a growing consumer product brand, we were in need of a new e-commerce website that was easy to navigate, understand and shop.

What were your goals for this project?

We needed existing page designs translated into a functioning WooCommerce site within a tight timeline. It was important that the site be easy for customers to navigate and shop, and that our employees could easily manage it from the back end.

Simon and Sevy executed the site development flawlessly. As the main point of contact, Simon communicated clearly and concisely throughout the entire build process.

Can you share any information that demonstrates the impact that this project has had on your business?

SG Web Partners were able to step in mid-way through a web development project gone awry and get it back on track. They provided a completed website at a fair price and within a realistic timeframe. As a consumer goods brand, our website is an important marketing material for us. We are very pleased with the end result.

How was project management arranged and how effective was it?

Project management was very organized, operating primarily via Basecamp along with regularly scheduled calls and email as needed. They were very responsive and clearly documented all work.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Their team did a great job of setting expectations for the project—and often exceeding them! This included meeting deadlines, providing solutions for any roadblocks we encountered, and being positive and professional throughout the entire experience.

Are there any areas for improvement?

Because they came on board mid-way through the project, the experience could have been challenging and cumbersome but they did a great job jumping in.
