We recently upgraded from a basic package in Hubspot, to one that now includes Marketing Hub Starter, Sales Hub Professional and Content Hub Starter. As part of this, we needed help onboarding with these new tools, as our prior use was very rudimentary. Key deliverables were to help us set up our Marketing e-mails, our Deals Desk and understand how to track/manage contacts.

We worked with Set 2 Close as we were coming into Hubspot haveing never used a CRM before. Our goals for this training process were to get our Marketing Hub and Customer Hubs setup with growing lists that would allow us to track the customer journey.

What was needed was mostly guidance on best practices on getting our lists set up correctly, getting our newsletter program back on rack. They were instrumental in making sure that our list sorting and filtering were set up correctly, as well as offering advice on how we might better track the customer journy as well as using workflows for automating our key messaging.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were able to integrate not only our current customer base with Hubspot, but also now have an active list of newsletter followers that are being automatically marketed to through a series of workflows. 

In addition, we were advised on a few ways that we can better reach our audience in the future, with some exciting ideas for more effective marketing, whihc we are currently working to implement internally.

The communication was prompt and on time. Meetings were always emlightening.

One thing that I really appreciated was receiving custom video tutorials for implementing specific Hubspot features from Dennis, when in an email I would receive a video link where he would do a video walkthrough for setting up a specific feature.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I did like the personal tough of the virtual meetings, where eery week we got an hour to check in andask specific questions and then left the meetings with specific goals for the following week, and there were often check ins throughout the week to make sure we were staying on track.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Set 2 Close could have done differently?

Not really. The biggest concern I have is more with the width and breath of everything Hubspot offers and trying to understand all of the tools in what at first felt like a generous timeline, leave me feeling like in many ways we have only scratched the surface of what Hubspot can do. 

That being said, we now have the fundumental knowledge of how to use Hubspot that I am relatively confident that implemeting additional features will be far less daunting.

We needed to have a fully functioning website in Hubspot by the end date of our contract with our existing marketing firm.

Absolutely, everything we discussed in the initial stages of the onboarding were delivered and then some. Flexibility around the training and designing of the website, which allowed me to receive hands on training to learn to manage these features in the future on my own; while also completing any backend website work that would have been out of my work scope. Throughout the entire process they were cognescent of my timeline needs and worked with me to ensure we had everything up and running on time.

Set 2 Close was contracted to provide HubSpot onboarding services through their Set 2 Start program. Onboarding is a mandatory part of getting started with HubSpot and their provided guidance through the process, free of charge. This helped us save $2-5k and got us moving on the right path.

We did not have predefined metrics outlined to demonstrate the successful implementation of the project. Our only goal was to get invested enough in HubSpot to set it up and utilize it for daily business activities. In this regard they succeeded with high marks.

The Set 2 Close team is something of a unicorn amongst HubSpot Partners. They provide a free service called "Set 2 Start" that lets you basically skip the standard $2-5k setup costs when getting started with HubSpot. This makes getting started with HubSpot much more accessible to small businesses like ours. As part of this process, they have a series of meetings and give you access to tools that all guide you through the process of getting started. HubSpot can be a daunting system due to its feature richness and having such finely tuned settings that can be applied to almost anything you are doing. Even for a technically savvy individual, it is a laborious task to get your bearings and move through the steps. Set 2 Close made this process infinitely easier and served as a guiding point avoid getting lost in the process.

The team's attitude and dedication to support were shocking, considering they offered a free service. One of our core values as a business is service with a smile, and as rare as that may be becoming, Set 2 Close emulated it wonderfully. They didn't treat us any less for not being one of their paying customers. Maybe it was because they saw us as a future customers. Maybe they just understand the gratification that selfless service brings. Either way, they provided an extraordinary experience that has made us want to work with them again, in the future. Our Onboarding Specialist, Matt, was a joy to work with and went above and beyond to make sure I was staying the path and progressing along my journey. Matt displayed extensive technical knowledge of HubSpot and would easily outmatch 20 Fiverr or UpWork hires for any business thinking they could optimize this with discounted ‘talent.’. He always brought a bright attitude that motivated me to keep pushing until I achieved our outlined goals. We plan to contract them for further work, as our business grows, and if you have the means to make it happen, I recommend you utilize their expertise to the highest possible degree. I look forward to seeing what they can help us accomplish as we work toward our goals.

A tool that they used could include a few more things and be formatted for video expansion a bit better, but their service was incredible and while all things in life can be improved, there was no part that was lacking in excellence.

We contracted with set 2 close to assist in our recruitment infrastructure and digital marketing geared toward targeting sales rep candidates. The goals were to increase staff bandwidth in managing our applicant volume and reach a wider audience for sales candidate sourcing via facebook, tik tok, etc.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Jordan was extremely knowlegable about building a process that helped to capture our recruiting information and allow us to automate a large portion of the front end of the contact and applicant process. He had accessability and knowledge of tools unbeknownst to us at the time.

We had been utilizing linkedin as part of our strategy and were deciding at the time to let that subscription lapse and reinvest those dollars into better tools for the organization. We ultimately decided that the reinvestment into those tools and Set 2 Close to construct and aid in the setup and execution of the program would be beneficial to us both short and long term.

Set 2 Close implemented the Breezy HR recruitment platform, Criteria testing, and assisted in completing the groundwork functionality of the program prior to our using the system. They aided in construction of the templates for our correspondence, reviewed our candidate facing materials and contracts, offered advice on improvement of key aspects in those documents, and are (still) assisting in our online marketing recruitment through digital spaces.

They helped me understand and process the Criteria information for our candidates through the testing vehicle they utilize themselves. There is much they provided in addition that I am sure I am not including here. They aboslutely went above and beyond (and still are) to make this project a real success and improve our business fucntions and productivity.

Our social media channels have found their voice, and their brand and have grown in followers each month since our engagements. Exceptionally efficient. They were available on short notice despite their busy schedules which was impressive. We feel well supported through channels such as Whatsapp where Set2Close will answer quick questions with accuracy and speed.

These guys are beyond amazing. They go out of their way to overdeliver. When we were working with Jordon he didn't settle for anything less than A-talent when we were on the look for our first sales hire. His team did a fantastic job setting up our flows on Hubspot and detailing out what we need to prepare as cadences and onboarding materials for when our first sales comes in.
