1. Senior level support and knowledge about SEM & SEO. I've interviewed dozens of competing firms and nobody comes close to Session's group of senior, strategic doers.
2. Flexibility in pricing, timing and processes. We needed a lot of customization and the CEO Tyler was open to accommodating all of our needs and client scopes to get the work done.

Cyber recovery deliverables included a detailed audit, LOE assessment for project prioritization, and recommendations for technical and on-page enhancements to facilitate a faster digital recovery focused on the organic channel.

Migration deliverables included a detailed pre and post-migration plan, and ongoing partnership via retainer structure including dedicated support during redirect planning, testing, migration cutover, and post-launch.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

As a result of our collaboration on cyber recovery, we improved organic rankings even beyond pre-attack levels with a significant boost in pages ranking on page 1.

We also successfully migrated three websites to an entirely new platform with minimal traffic disruption and created a repeatable framework tailored to the intricacies of our sites to be used in another wave of upcoming migrations. We were also able to efficiently identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues in a way that would not have been possible without the resources and expertise provided by the Session team.

Session's approach to project management was thorough, supportive, and highly effective. Deliverables were always useful, detailed, and received on time. Additionally, the team was always willing and able to adjust to constantly changing timelines. We're grateful to work with a team that has been available whenever we need them, including early mornings, late nights, and weekends during migration cutovers. They've provided a critical support system throughout several complex and dynamic projects. Emily has been a wonderful account manager - her meeting leadership, helpful follow-ups, detailed notes, and project coordination have significantly enhanced our output. Zakk has also been great, always delivering high-quality work, tackling complexity, and providing helpful insights and recommendations to our development teams. The same praise goes to Ashley, whose extensive knowledge and technical expertise have allowed us to tackle some of our trickiest challenges. What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I find the level of expertise, customer-centricity, proactivity, and flexibility of the Session team very impressive. They have not shied away from tackling very complex challenges and always take the time to understand the intricacies of our business and digital properties. I have worked with many agencies throughout my career, and our collaboration with the session team has always felt like a true partnership with a shared goal. As an added bonus, every member of the team we've interacted with has been very pleasant to work with.

Are there any areas for improvement or something Session Interactive could have done differently?

Although Session has always been willing and able to participate, I believe one area for improvement could be a closer relationship with our technical team. Working proactively with them versus reactively auditing completed work would increase efficiencies and reduce confusion. This was often not possible in previous projects due to structural limitations on our end, but we hope to improve it for upcoming projects.

Insect Lore’s main goal was to increase brand awareness by improving Search Engine Optimization on our website. The SOW entailed several different aspects of the project, such as updating copy on the website, improving URL hierarchy, removing redundant or outdated pages and constructing a "Top of Funnel" user system using internal links in new content pages.  
 
Our key deliverables were interconnected and primarily feature our new Blog Post pages, which used SEO keywords and popular search terms to give the Insect Lore website greater visibility on Google's Search Engine Results Page. Other key deliverables include increasing clicks and conversions on the website by funneling users through blog posts and driving them directly to product pages through internal linking.

As a result of our partnership with Session, our insects (Butterflies, Ladybugs, and Ants) are all enjoying a higher ranking on Google's SERPS, including top positions on Google's knowledge panels for the main search terms. By focusing on user-friendly content to educate and inspire rather than outright promotion, Insect Lore has kept significant engagement momentum with users, even at a time of the year when site activity routinely drops due to the seasonality of our products.  Insect Lore has experienced a marked increase in new user visits to the website, fulfilling our goal of attracting potential customers and keeping them attentive and engaged with the Insect Lore brand throughout the year.

The scope of work that Session Interactive helps Canvas with varies depending on the current projects; however, as a team, we align on macro and micro goals each year. Together, Canvas and Session Interactive employees develop a well-formed digital marketing strategy that incorporates macro goals, including application submission, phone calls, and online appointment bookings, and micro goals, including organic search traffic, metrics, keywords, and acquisition. 

The channels utilized to accomplish these goals are website and SEO, paid search, and local search.

Canvas uses various metrics to determine measurable success every year. For paid search, we use submitted applications, CTR, CPC, clicks, and impression shares. SEO uses a greater variety of metrics to determine success, such as conversion, sessions, page ranking, and bounce rate, among others.

There are many reasons that I find Session to be impressive, and I believe that the number one reason is how personable they are. Every time we meet or email, the tone is genuine and kind. Each one that I work with directly shows that they process both soft and hard skills, which I think are important, especially as a digital marketing agency working with clients.

For context, our company is comprised of 60+ urgent care/primary care clinics across the southeast U.S. (and growing!)

Session Interactive had the tall order of coming into an enterprise-level operation and taking complete responsibility for bringing their tracking into the new age of GA4. Additionally, they provided temporary services for Google Ads, one of our most critical channels, while we had a gap. Because we have multiple portals, service categories, and for the most part lacked a Google Analytics infrastructure to work from, what they managed to pull off was quite a tall order. And our Google Tag Manager? You don't even want to know how many containers there were to sort through... On top of all that, they were extremely thorough, responsive, and trustworthy. 

Deliverables include:

Despite finishing all of the work that was originally intended when we began working with Session Interactive, we are still working with them as consultants due to their level of talent and expertise. The next time I need an agency for anything remotely digital, they're the first ones I plan on reaching out to.

1. We have a functional GA4 environment, allowing us the level of insight an operation of our size demands in order to stay competitive and data-driven.
2. Our GTM setup was vastly consolidated and updated to include the many nuances that come with our business model and offerings.
3. Their audits of our analytics, tracking, and digital advertising gave us excellent options to start on for improving all three.

Every deliverable came on time or sooner. Their responsiveness tends to be same day or, at latest, next day (usually when I was sending evening emails).

Coming from an agency background, I can be wary at times of working with agencies (ironic, I know). Session Interactive has proven to be the elusive unicorn agency that, if I stayed in agency life, is the kind of place I would work. And I'm quite choosy.

Beyond that, the quality of their work and documentation was top notch. Not a single action item was late and their responsiveness almost always remained within the following 24 work hours (bar weekends, but I schedule my weekend emails for Mondays). 

Lastly, the level of expertise each member of their team showed was impressive; however, their communication and documentation stayed at a level that even less experienced members of my time could understand without issue.
