I was the CTO of an online travel booking agency called YLLY.COM when I worked with Sensidev.

What challenge were you trying to address with Sensidev?

We needed them to support our engineering team.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We were trying to rapidly and efficiently scale our engineering team to streamline our operations, so we thought of hiring a remote team to support our pipeline. Initially, we tasked five resources from Sensidev to join our team, and it scaled to about 50 members as our needs became more complex and time-consuming. 

They were in charge of developing solutions for our products’ front- and backend, relying on tools such as JavaScript and Angular. There were also members who supported our administrative and project management pipeline as we expanded our requirements.

We worked with a team of 50 resources from Sensidev, focusing on different pipelines.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent roughly $400,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The engagement ran from June 2014–June 2016.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Sensidev was a team of good facilitators and developers. We set various agile metrics for their performance, including quantitative and efficiency scores. Their resources easily met all our targets without much supervision — Sensidev was truly one of the best teams we ever worked with. 

How did Sensidev perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicated via Slack and Google Hangouts and relied on Targetprocess for project management. Sensidev had proactive and deadline-oriented resources that provided our developers with everything they needed — they elevated our processes with their hard work.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Sensidev had impeccable communication skills — everyone spoke and understood English well, and they were always enthusiastic when attending to our requests. It was always evident that everyone in the team enjoyed their craft.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could benefit from onboarding senior developers to support their operations. 

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be open to embracing innovative project management methods rather than sticking to traditional ones. Sensidev is a collaborative team with innovative methods, so you can make the most of your engagement if you welcome their beneficial and out-of-the-box ideas.

For what projects/services did your company hire Sensidev, and what were your goals?

Sensidev helped port our internal dashboard from Angular to React using latest design practices. Our goal is to create a high performance site with optimized workflows and UI.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

Sensidev developers were well versed in latest React technologies and also able to operate independently based on high level specifications on what we were looking for.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

We had an initial meeting where we covered the specifications of the product. Sensidev then converted that into a project plan and executed on it while providing constant feedback. They were also receptive to design changes late in the process.

They made us a stable website which was high performing.
