Semper Fi Design has built my two websites from scratch using WordPress. I’ve explained my design and functionality needs to their team, and they’ve devised UI/UX and backend solutions based on those. They continue to update my platforms on an as-needed basis.

I knew Chris personally and found his team capable of handling my development and design needs.

Our ongoing engagement started in December 2020.

My business has expanded because of Semper Fi Design’s efforts. Their technical skills have enabled me to welcome more lucrative opportunities, and I can't thank their team enough for that.

We mainly communicate through in-person meetings. They have phenomenal project management skills, which them to meet my project goals on time.

I’m the captain of special operations and public information officer for a sheriff’s office in South Carolina. We’re a law enforcement agency that responds to calls for service throughout Aiken county.

What challenge were you trying to address with Semper Fi Design?

We were trying to get a fresh perspective on our website. We wanted to make our application process easy to find and submit.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Semper Fi Design took our old website and revamped it. They worked on development and design for our WordPress site. Our main focus was the job application process. They had to redesign the whole section to put it front and center.

Additionally, they’re now helping us to update and maintain our website. We have a recurring agreement with them.

What is the team composition?

Our detention center captain referred them. He’d used them to design the website for South Carolina’s Jail Association. We reached out to them to see if they could help us out.

How did you come to work with Semper Fi Design?

We work with Chris (Owner & Operator).

How much have you invested with them?

We’ve spent about $4,000–$5,000 so far.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in August 2021, and the main work was delivered about six weeks ago, in November 2021. However, our relationship is ongoing. We come up with new changes or updates, and they help us out.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

The quality of their work has brought us up to a more competitive level. Finding officers in South Carolina is very challenging, so our main focus on our image is to attract new applicants. In that sense, the site has been successful — we’ve hired ten people in the past six weeks.

How did Semper Fi Design perform from a project management standpoint?

It’s been great. They’re very responsive, and it’s been a pleasure to work with them. They follow our lead, and we give them a little bit of freedom. If any problem comes up, they work tirelessly to fix it.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’ve worked closely with Semper Fi Design, exchanging ideas back and forth to create a complete product. We’ve never worked with anybody like that — it’s been exceptional.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, we don’t have anything negative to say about them.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Be open-minded and flexible. They’re a great company; I’d recommend them to anybody that’s looking to revamp or build their website. Social media is crucial for the world we live in, and most people will find your agency on the internet, so Semper Fi Design can help you tremendously.

I am the current President of the South Carolina Jail Administrators' Association. The mission of the South Carolina Jail Administrators Association (SCJAA) is to promote professionalism through training; to promote unity, to address relevant jail issues; to promote fellowship and good will amongst those who serve within the criminal justice system; and continually strive to promote a positive image of professional and ethical behavior to the community and citizenry it serves.

The Association shall be composed of Jail Administrators or persons responsible to Sheriffs, City/County Administrators or Regional Boards for the operation of city/county detention facilities, county prisons, or regional detention centers in South Carolina; their employees, South Carolina Department of Corrections (SCDC) employees, Vendors, and retired Jail Administrators, jail employees and SCDC employees who were members in good standing upon their retirement.

Our old website was created internally many years ago using a web hosting website. The website was outdated and not very functional. We wanted to provide our membership with a website that provided a good ease of access.

I served with Chris in the Marine Corps and knew his work ethic and abilities designing websites.

Our membership really enjoys our website and the ease of access. Chris is very responsive when we need changes.

Chris did an absolutely amazing job; he was timely in his responses and he problem-solved numerous issues I threw at him. He delivered a beautiful, clean, user-friendly website in a timely fashion. He also designed a fantastic business logo.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

My lead trainer and myself have spoken to numerous officials in our line of work, and all have been impressed with the website. We had several commit to our training program the day the website went online.

If there was any potential issue or a problem to tackle, Chris was burning the midnight candle to solve it. They were responsive to emails &and texts, had great initiative and an extremely high work ethic, and solved problems creatively.

We took over the hosting and development of our site by recreating the entire thing on 10web using AI and then converted everything into the elementor environment. He trained me on it so I could work on it myself, and has been helping me with basic SEO functionality we didn't have before.

I now have full control of my site and am no longer being held hostage by my previous developer.The importance of this is everything to me. We also finally are showing up in basic google searches where we didn't before.
