I’m the marketing project manager responsible for various campaigns and activities. We provide entertaining games and activities for online casinos and games aggregators.

For what projects/services did your company hire Seems Neat, and what were your goals?

We have a marketing website running, but a year ago decided to choose an external partner to oversee it from a technological perspective. That helped unload our current IT resources from side works and focus mostly on the product (software) development.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We were in search of company which has particular knowledge on technology we work with. We found the company which had it and was willing to went deeper into all cases and our needs. Their prompt communication and knowledge of the existing technology stack was the key to choose them to be our partners.

We have been doing design-related tasks and then gave the coding part to Seems Neat. Stack is ReactJS, NextJS, NodeJS, Strapi CMS.

We have 1 project manager, 1 tester, 2-3 developers, and a few key role people involved sometimes.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

For this project we have also hired SEO agency which worked on our KPI's. But we cannot disclose this information and the outcome of both sides which worked on our website project. We can only say that it took time for us while we have achieved now, we are really happy about them and looking forward to improve it next year.

When the project started we had these demos/planning meetings each week to see the progress and manage the Gitlab task board. They invited us to their Slack, as the main channel of comms. For our Head's was very important to meet the deadline and deliver MVP of website project on time. Seems Neat accepted this challenge and make this happened.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Well, I could tell that from all of my experience of working with Seams Neat was very positive. The most I liked that they are very agile, and it didn't took to much time to deliver the results and receive a feedback on requests we found as important.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Task estimation could be more accurate so that we can plan the budget.

We are Aros Marine, we operate in the marine industry, ship interior/HVAC installation, project management. I’m responsible for our internal software product development to optimize work processes.

We wanted to build an MVP to test whether it is possible to optimize our specialists and engineers' time spent on tasks, projects, and management. We decided to go with mobile applications.

The timeline and budget were in our planned ranges. They clearly understood what should be done.

We gave them our vision, mockups we had and they just started the work and provided us with a demo app to preview from time to time. We also had an administration panel built so worked on that along with the apps. Apps are built with React Native and admin panel/API with PHP Laravel.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

We achieved our goals with this MVP and decided to invest more time and budget into it. More than half of our employees use apps every day and we are slowly moving entire staff on this product.

At first, we worked on a project, fixed-based agreement, but later we changed it to scrum principles and now we divide tasks into sprints and have a planning meeting to organize the next sprint load and review the previous sprint.

Sometimes we question the time and cost of a feature as it looks more than we expected. We then discuss together and finalize time reports.

We had an internal strategic decision to remake all our software products with new technologies, stacks, and frameworks. We started with our ERP system and were looking for IT development partners to help us.

We’ve chosen Seems Neat because their tech stack is a fit for us, they seemed to have clear communication, and offered an acceptable budget range.

They delivered UI/UX design at first, then we moved on with frontend development and we provided API to integrate with. It’s still an ongoing project. They use react.js in frontend. Used Figma for design.

They have a squad dedicated to us and it consists of project manager, quality assurance specialist, 3 full stack developers.

The main goal is to keep a good code base quality which is going well, and from UI perspective it is important for our employees so that they could work easier, but we can’t evaluate that yet.

They proposed Scrum method so we have sprints, meetings, etc each week, we use Slack for daily communication and Gitlab for project management and code repository.

They have a clear and quality approach to the development process.

Better communication between developers and designers.

We faced some issues with the current CRM system we have and made a decision to try to build something unique, introduce a newly built system to our employees and see if there is a potential.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

As we didn’t have clear requirements, we wanted someone to help us build on our rough idea and possibly change things on the go - they could offer flexible time and material model and I think they have an MVP building mindset to offer solutions that could solve a problem in an easy and cheap way.

Seems Neat gave us some design templates to choose from, so we didn’t work on design at all. Then they introduced the first tasks, we discussed and the work started. We have weekly meetings to discuss the progress. Technologies: PHP, Javascript (react, typescript, redux).

I’m CEO of Trip Map. We make push pin travel maps on canvas for pinning places and sell them globally.

We hired Seems Neat for our ecommerce solution remake and warehouse system implementation together with integration to the ecommerce website. We wanted to reach another level in terms of ecommerce with the help of marketing and a brand new website. To successfully grow we would also need to automatically manage our warehouse processes.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We compared three things: technology/architecture plan, price and deadline. We’ve chosen a clear approach and communication.

We worked with design for some time, when finished proceeded to development in weekly sprints. We had our ecommerce website built first and then a warehouse system followed. Technologies: Wordpress, Laravel, React.

From the agreement we had such roles:

• Design lead

So 6 people and then we had Seems Neat technical lead joining every planning meeting.

We boosted our sales and managed to organise warehouse processes more quickly, thus we could invest more into marketing.

We used emails to discuss the requirements, they also used google meets to organise meetings and project management/planning was done on gitlab.com.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Not sure, I don't have enough experience to compare with other companies out there. Our overall impression of their goal orientation and hands-on approach stands out.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Everything is great. But if we are cherry picking, then i would point out more clear communication between designer and developers as sometimes I had to remind developers what we confirmed with the designer. Also the product owner couldn’t answer me specific questions without discussing with the team, I think he had a lack of experience in ecommerce projects at the end of a day. But hey, we are all humans and we have our "bugs" :)
