I’m a department director of united mission for relief & development (UMR), a nonprofit organization providing disaster relief, recovery, and sustainable development services to underserved communities, focusing on health, WASH (water, sanitation, and hygiene), and child protection sectors.

We hired SecTec for cybersecurity.

SecTec implemented cybersecurity safeguards on our machines, emails, and servers. The team also trained our users on cybersecurity. The safeguards included endpoint detection, 24/7 monitoring, patch management, and email spam filters.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

SecTec’s work resulted in reporting, alerting, less spam, agents deployed to each machine, and updates applied on each machine. All machines had an agent, and we were able to see into each machine. We also noticed a reduction in the number of security incidents and threats detected after SecTec’s implementation. We had fewer user issues and malicious files.

How did SecTec perform from a project management standpoint?

SecTec communicated well and went above and beyond to ensure we understood what was going on. We communicated through in-person meetings, virtual meetings, email, and messaging apps.

SecTec’s team's knowledge was impressive.

I didn’t think there was anything they could improve on. They were professionals.

Sectec will provide managed IT and cybersecurity services, including help desk support, remote monitoring and management (RMM), patch management, vulnerability management, endpoint security, Microsoft 365 administration, server and network support, backup monitoring, user administration, incident response, and proactive maintenance. Sectec will also monitor the organization's IT environment, remediate security and operational issues, provide reporting, and deliver ongoing technical support to ensure a secure, reliable, and high-performing technology environment.

SecTec significantly strengthened our cybersecurity posture by implementing proactive security monitoring, patch management, vulnerability remediation, and endpoint protection. Their team increased visibility across our IT environment, identified and resolved issues that previous providers were unable to fix, and reduced overall security risk. Their proactive approach improved system stability, enhanced operational efficiency, and provided a more secure and resilient technology environment.
