What challenge were you trying to address with Scalero?

We needed help with our email marketing. We needed to start from scratch and rebuild our flows, emails, and templates and fix our deliverability issues. We needed to understand best practices and have someone tell us what to do and do the work.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Scalero designed templates, set up automations, wrote copy, created images, created a content calendar, improved our deliverability, created segments, suggested improvements to improve our metrics, and helped us cut costs by suppressing emails that were not active anymore. The goals were to improve retention, reactivate our customers, and get new leads to become customers.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We've increased new leads with the help of ideas for opt-in flows and nurtured these leads into customers. Our open and click rates have improved dramatically while our quantity of sending has also increased. Our open rates have improved by 30%, and our click rates have almost doubled. Moreover, we've improved our deliverability and reactivated existing users who had not purchased in a while.

They communicate well, deliver on time, provide regular updates and reporting, and help keep all of our email activities on track. We communicate through virtual meetings, emails, and messaging apps.

Many times, when we work with agencies, I feel like they provide lots of ideas but may lean on us more for execution. Right off the bat, Scalero's team wanted to help with both the strategy and the work. They learned the specific language and important topics for our most important sport, golf, and were able to create copy which we could use right away. I found it very easy to work with them.

Scalero provides both design and coding for promotional emails. They were able to improve the look and feel of our campaigns while increasing CTR on emails. Our first project were 6 trigger emails, all part of the same campaign. They also helped build one off promotional emails, from design to code and loading into our ESP. They are familiar with our ESP which is so helpful, as they were able to build out re-usable content blocks for our internal team to use.

We were able to increase our click through rates on emails. While not measurable, we also felt the emails better reflected our evolving brand look and feel.

Auto group with many brands and dealerships, wanted to reach out to customers to give them a variety of offers including new, used and service.

How did you select this vendor?

I talked to half a dozen agencies. I liked that they only did email (and some text) marketing. They weren't going to try to sell me on something else. Also they were willing to learn and use my crm.

They put together a calendar of email marketing offers for each dealership and then develop creative and a distribution list. They track everything from click thrus to unsubscribe in google docs and take lessons form each.

some of the tracking is difficult, but as we've driven customers to our scheduling tool, we can accurately track how many appointments we get

Very, we worked very closely for the first few months and then they have handled the process without me.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Mistake free, there have been very few if any issues which is why I told them to take is slow, we have a lot of internal people on these email distributions and I would have heard about a mistake.

Is there any area for improvement or anything that could have been done differently?

No, I am very happy with them. Fair priced and even better priced with scale.
