I’m responsible for the e-Commerce branch in Briju, the brand owning one of the biggest Polish jewelry retail chains. As for today, Briju has 70 physical stores and an e-Commerce shop with a wide range of jewelry and watches.

The main challenge here was to develop a fast, reliable and modern online store in order to catch up with the ever-growing e-Commerce market. We knew it must be done as quickly as possible but with minimal interference to the everyday business operations.

**SOLUTION**
How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We already knew that our go-to technology should be Magento PWA as its easy-scalable, mobile-friendly and future-proof. This requirement has shortened the list of potential software houses to choose from. After a couple of meetings we all agreed that we are on the same wavelength and we believe in similar work methods and practices.

We started with a kickoff meeting and onboarding process. From there we went through the business analysis process which was designed to gather project details necessary for further planning. We agreed on a quick MVP development in just two months from the start as it was crucial for us to have a working online store before the winter holiday season.

X-Coding management understood our business perspective and we highly appreciate their attitude towards our mutual endeavor. The MVP has gone live in summer 2021 and from this point we started further development of additional features such as the customer loyalty program, gift card payment option and more.

There are 15 people in the team, including CTO, PMs, DevOps, Frontends, Backends and testers.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The webstore has been developed using Magento PWA technology and headless architecture which made it super fast and as mobile-friendly as possible. We want our brand to look fresh and attract the young digital-native generation of consumers. So far, we’ve managed to profoundly increase our conversion rate and achieve triple-digit year-over-year growth.

The project is being conducted in the agile methodology. Right from the start, we knew that X-Coding believes in really close cooperation between our teams as the only way to success. Our work is based on daily updates and well-planned biweekly sprints which guarantees transparency and clear communication.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

We are impressed with their deep understanding of our business and commitment to our goals. It’s rare to find a vendor not focused on selling their services at any cost but on giving honest opinions and bringing real value.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Our work with X-Coding, as with any long-term cooperation, required some team-building efforts and merging of our mutual goals and priorities. Time pressure played a big part as well. During the starting stage of the project, there were some issues requiring a deeper analysis and correction, but all of them were nothing more than typical ‘teething problems’. As soon as the project had gained momentum, our cooperation was - and still is - almost perfect.

Satisfly approached the situation strategically. From the very beginning, they were clear about what competencies they had, where they could deliver “quick wins” (solutions already tested and proven), and which areas would require more custom work and could therefore pose a budget risk. Thanks to this, we’ve been able to focus together on the areas where they already have strong expertise – and there are quite a lot of them. We especially value the support from their Delivery Manager and CEO, Marek. Their knowledge is impressive, and they are always willing to share it. A good example: when we faced an unexpected cost increase in the Baselinker tool (used by our client), Marek immediately stepped in, activated his business network, and helped mediate between our client and Baselinker. That level of involvement was beyond what we expected. Another positive aspect is Marek’s educational videos and interviews on YouTube. As an agency working on behalf of our client, we find them really helpful because they show how Satisfly thinks about e-commerce and client service. In terms of operations, the organization of work is excellent. All tasks are clearly tracked in Jira, we have access to time logs in Tempo, and everything is managed transparently. On top of that, the overall atmosphere in the team is great – they simply give the impression of people you enjoy working with. If I had to mention one area for improvement, it would be deeper business understanding from the Project Manager assigned to our project. In some cases, we had to escalate matters to the Delivery Manager to get a more client-oriented response. That said, whenever a task turned out to be more difficult than expected, Satisfly sometimes took it on their own shoulders and didn’t invoice our client just to make sure the result was delivered. This happened only once out of dozens of tasks over almost two years, so I see it as a minor issue rather than a real problem. Overall, after almost two years of cooperation, we can confidently recommend Satisfly as a reliable, strategic, and highly engaged technology partner for Magento-based e-commerce projects.

We hired Satisfly to conduct the analysis of our online store and prepare the recommendations for the new e-commerce implementation. The main goal of this project was to find the solutions to grow our online sales by making significant changes to our e-store.

Satisfly was recommended to us by the partnering ERP provider. We hold a meeting with Satisfly’s representatives to talk about the project goals and requirements. We felt like they understood our business and would be a great choice to carry out this project.

The process of our cooperation with Satisfly has started with us filling a detailed brief and meeting with the project management team. That led to creating user stories and planning the next steps by Satisfly. After collecting the data we met for 2 days of workshops. Based on the information gathered during the whole process Satisfly delivered the report that included data and recommendations to implement in our online store, as well as business and technological guidelines for the new UX design of the website.

By applying default configurations for product categories, product families and attributes ROOBEO was able to work more efficiently in their daily business, the effect was seen in faster configurations and automations of the operations within the Akeneo platform.

Having chosen an official partner for Akeneo, we knew that we made the correct decision in the development team. X-Coding IT Studio has completed the project successfully and was able to help achieve the goals ROOBEO has set for itself. We have managed to develop the product, category and product family structure in Akeneo exactly as we needed with the help of X-Coding IT Studio.

Build in advance mapping features for categories allowed for a significant portion of the work on the Akeneo platform to be automated reducing the work for ROOBEO significantly. Additional support has been provided to enrich the admin panel with additional view, tabs, pages and inputs to efficiently enter data. The help of export, import and API integrations allowed for even more efficiency.

A dedicated project team has been assigned to ROOBEO that provided the necessary skill set to ensure a smooth delivery. X-Coding IT Studio has built a project team for us that consisted of three experienced developers who were suprived by a technological leader, a tester was responsible for the quality of the work. ROOBEO and X-Coding IT Studio used standard design tools to strengthen the everyday communications. A main driver in the communication was Slack which connected the teams from both companies together in an efficient way to share information.

A bi-weekley demo meeting was introduced which showed the progress that X-Coding has made on the project. During this demonstration X-Coding explained the implementation and mentioned any possible inaccuracies that have arrived. When necessary we were able to contact the project manager by phone if there were any questions, every time we’ve gotten a quick answer to the inquiry.

**BACKGROUND**
I’m the director of development and technology at TIM SA, one of the largest distributors of electronic and technical goods in Poland. Our 25 years in the industry, including 17 years on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, have allowed us to gain priceless experience in this market. The company has won many prestigious awards from organizations such as Gazele Biznesu and Diamenty Forbesa.

I’m in charge of creating and managing the vision of the department, developing and introducing cutting-edge technologies, and cooperating with external partners and internal stakeholders.

**OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE**
Due to some existing recipients and market requirements, our specialists were faced with the challenge of building an application. The product needed to be useful and ergonomic. Because our main customers are B2B entities (wholesale and retail stores), our purchasing process must be as simple and clear as possible with intuitive product searching features.

**SOLUTION**
All UX/UI elements were designed based on functional models. This made it much easier to reflect our store processes on mobile devices and allowed us to implement changes without unnecessary costs. Based on our workshops with X-Coding IT Studio, we developed an optimal customer service process and order implementation while maintaining all industry-specific functions from the internet store.

X-Coding assists the team that’s responsible for development modules on our website, which is based on Magento 1.6.2.0. X-Coding also created a mobile app call mTIM for Android and iOS, which communicates with our API. Both the site and the app support similar functionality. The team includes 10 people, most of whom are developers.

We found X-Coding through another partner, Divante. After a couple of months, we started to work on mobile apps together. X-Coding is flexible and focuses on client business. Their team members are engaging and have great knowledge of Magento and mobile technologies. 

**RESULTS & FEEDBACK**
The mTIM app developed by X-Coding Studio has been met with a positive reception from customers and employees. It has several functionalities to help customers in their daily business and synergizes reliably with the website.

Another advantage of the entire implementation is our API web service, which supports customers’ external systems on web or ERP [enterprise resource planning], allowing them to retrieve product offers or check their TIM inventory.

During implementation, X-Coding has shown great commitment and initiative in achieving our business goals. We use a Scrum methodology and communicate via Redmine and Google Hangout. They have great communication skills and focus on  growing their client’s business. However, they could improve their code quality and testing process.

We wanted the website to look good and display important product information. Concurrently, we wanted a custom UX to ensure its intuitive flow. We had struggled with these goals in the past.

### New online shop for a jewelry manufacturer
The main challenge here was to develop a fast, reliable, and modern online store in order to catch up with the ever-growing e-Commerce market. We knew it must be done as quickly as possible but with minimal interference to the everyday business operations.
Our client already knew that the go-to technology should be Magento PWA as its easy-scalable, mobile-friendly, and future-proof. This requirement has shortened the list of potential software houses to choose from. After a couple of meetings, we all agreed that we are on the same wavelength and we believe in similar work methods and practices.
 


### New B2B platform for Clarena
Clarena is a Polish cosmetic brand that has been present in the market since 2005. Their product range includes cosmetics tailored to various skin needs, professional cosmetic device Rubica, and other accessories from this category.
The previous version of Clarena’s B2B store was outdated and non-intuitive, failing to meet the needs of the brand’s business customers. As a result, most orders were placed over the phone, leading to a significant burden on the Customer Service department.
The necessity to build a completely new Clarena B2B platform stemmed from the company’s growth plans. To acquire new customers and expand into international markets, the company needed to create a system that would allow for smooth development and the construction of custom solutions. Therefore, the obvious choice was to implement the B2B store based on the Magento 2 engine.
 


### Online store on Magento
Carpeto is a brand that has been operating in the home decor industry since 2015. It has over 20,000 machine-woven carpets in its range, which it distributes through an extensive network of partners in Poland and Europe and also uses its own online store.
The main aim of the project was to modernize the existing sales platform based on Magento and optimize it for mobile devices so that it could meet the requirements of the contemporary e-Commerce customer. The implementation of a new headless PWA-based store version was planned as the next step in the company’s electronic sales development, immediately after the implementation of the Akaneo PIM. It was a necessary condition to implement in such a way that it would preserve the order of the product catalog and not disrupt the platform’s ongoing operation.
We were chosen to carry out this project due to our specialization, i.e. Magento development and our skills in implementing the Akeneo PIM system. Our services fully met the client’s business requirements.
 


### PIM implementation for Merida Bikes
Merida is one of the oldest and most renowned bicycle manufacturers in the world and in Poland. With a history spanning over 50 years, the company has a wealth of achievements, new technologies, and fruitful collaborations with cycling champions.
The main challenge was to analyze the complex way of storing product information in spreadsheets and translate it, together with the Product Owner, into the product structure and functionalities in Akeneo PIM. All of this was done to streamline business processes.
The choice of Akeneo was driven by the need to organize the product database, which had been processed in spreadsheets before. The client needed more control over the database, automation of processes, and simplification of the necessary work required for creating and editing the product database.
 


### B2B platform for the largest wholesaler in Europe
Activeshop was founded in 2003 and, after only fifteen years, has become the largest producer, importer, and exporter of products for hairdressing and beauty salons in Europe. It serves over 1,900 wholesalers and 200,000 customers.
The dynamic development of the Activeshop wholesale business necessitated the implementation of a modern, efficient, and scalable e-commerce platform. The choice fell on Magento 2 – which meant migrating stores from the previous version to the new one. The biggest challenge was solving the logistics issue. The specificity of orders from Activeshop is the diversity of product sizes, dimensions, and weights. The lack of a shipping optimization system meant that money was leaking out of the entire process.
We had already been working with our Client’s company before, designing the first version of their website on the Magento 1 platform. The migration to the newer version was therefore a natural progression.
The logistics module brought Activeshop savings that translated into more favorable prices in the store. It’s also convenient for the end customer who always has a precisely defined form of transport and its cost.

Satisfly was hired by a beauty and cosmetics company to analyze their e-commerce website and provide recommendations for the best UX design to increase sales. The team initially conducted a project briefing.
