What challenge were you trying to address with Sagapixel SEO?

I wasn’t getting many calls. I needed SEO that would actually work, so I could get better rankings.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Sagapixel did my SEO and keywords. They also did my schema markups on my site, taught me how to guest post, and how to make my inquiries concise. They implemented a tool that makes it easier for Google bots to scan my site.

The team also helped me make the site more readable. With the guest posts, they helped with the little nuances like how to get backlinks. They helped with the ratios and how many keyword articles I should write for my own website and the ratio of websites I need to write for other people. 

Sagapixel also did some keyword research which revealed keywords and topics I should focus on, and advice for SEO writing. They helped with everything I needed for my site.

What is the team composition?

I worked with Frank (Founder) and a full-time copywriter who does the content writing. There was also someone who did my site speeds, bugs, and Google search counsel. There was also another person I spoke to who I believe helped with some web design. I did have my web pages done before I went to them.

How did you come to work with Sagapixel SEO?

I did my research. I called around and some places either had no idea what to do or it completely misaligned with what I had been reading. 

Frank kept in step with modern marketing and offered value. He picked up the phone, answered my questions, gave me a time, didn’t seem pushy, wasn’t in a rush to get me off the phone, and invited me into the actual office where I could see him. He didn’t hold back. Everything I’ve learned from him is rich. He cared.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2019 and the work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

With the keywords Sagapixel gave me, I got such massive traffic. It was a noticeable difference. Every time they did something new or added a new component, I saw another jump. It’s very measurable. Now I get calls every day. 

I’m now full-time in my own business; I was able to quit my other job because of the results Sagapixel drove. I’m literally living a dream and I attribute it all to them. You can’t even measure it. As long as they’re open, I’ll continue to only use them.

I actually asked them to revamp my site and they told me it’d save me to go with the person who coded my site from scratch. They could have easily took a lot of money from me and didn’t. They’re extremely ethical. They have a conscience.

How did Sagapixel SEO perform from a project management standpoint?

Sagapixel’s project management is excellent. They’re very fast. They’re all very communicative and get back to me right away. There’s always respect and dignity. In a way you’d want them to, they take control in the sense you see their experience.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Frank really knows his stuff. I’ve been calling some other people and when I ask them questions, they try to dodge it. I get that they don’t want to give away free info but he gives generously and it leaves us indebted to him naturally. He’s just a giver. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

I haven’t noticed anything. I know they’re very busy. Yet Sagapixel still takes the time to talk to us because they value their customers. You can’t get any better than that.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

They’re already so experienced with this that they’re going to feel you out and stimulate questions and help you realize where you’re really trying to go. They will take the lead and you don’t have to worry about them accidentally taking your money and selling you something you don’t need. They will help you find what your goals should be. They will help you find out what will make you happy.

What challenge were you trying to address with Sagapixel SEO?

We were trying to update our web presence while also providing a blogging platform to help us with organic SEO.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Sagapixel SEO developed our new website in WordPress. The engagement started on our end primarily with project scoping. We defined who we were, who our audience was, what our business objectives were, and what the website architecture was. 

Some of our initial requirements weren’t attainable, having to do with some current server problems. I drafted all the copy before we went to the design stage. Sagapixel SEO gave us three designs to select from, and we had an internal meeting to select an overall design. 

From there, the team assigned a designer to us and started working on the main page and subpages of the website. I worked with the designer on edits and changes to the layout. After that, we went into development.

What is the team composition?

I worked with one of their coders and a designer. 

How did you come to work with Sagapixel SEO?

We approached five vendors with an RFI, and we felt that Sagapixel SEO would give us the best bang for our buck. I also had a prior relationship with Frank (Founder & Director). I talked to him and learned about his business, but he still had to compete against four others.

What is the status of this engagement?

We began working with Sagapixel SEO in January 2019, and we’re a few detail points away from launching the website. We have to move hosting to a server that supports WordPress.

The RFI was issued in November or December 2018, which means that we were looking to have something back by the end of January 2019.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

I’m a one-man-band at the company, so I’m using all outside talent in terms of designers, developers, and everything else. The process with Sagapixel SEO has been good for me. If anything, the timelines were based on my availability rather than theirs.

I’m extremely happy with the project up to this point. I’ll be measuring results once we’ve launched and have started some marketing plans. The president of the company is pleased with the product as it sits now. The website looks and feels better than the actual price tag. 

How did Sagapixel SEO perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve done well. Some of the delays were more from an internal perspective than from them. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Frank has excellent technical, design, and marketing acumen. That’s a great combination.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, nothing sticks out. Their performance has been overall good.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

My advantage is that I’ve done this before, but for a much larger company. I also owned a small business for many years before going into corporate, and that was an advantage when dealing with this project, especially since I was wearing so many hats. Having that experience is beneficial no matter what vendor you’re dealing with.

What challenge were you trying to address with Sagapixel SEO?

We wanted to update our website to be a lot more user-friendly. In the past, our website was a bit confusing; we didn't have the layout done properly. We had a lot of people asking where stuff was on our website.  

We found Sagapixel and wanted them to jump on board and help us organize our website.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We started by giving them a brief summary of what we do, who our customers are, and things like that. We also gave a high-level overview of what we wanted on the site and what people come to our site for.

From there, Sagapixel generated a few different options for us. We gave them the option to design the site how they felt would work best, so they put a couple of different designs together for us. We picked the one we liked the best, and we worked with them to sort it out and finetune it from there. I believe it’s a WordPress website.

They helped us add a blog to our website. They also linked all of our social media, which is a big part of how our business works; we push a lot of our marketing through social media. They were able to bring a lot of that to the front of our page. Before having this new website, we didn’t have that connection.

What is the team composition?

We started off working with Frank (Digital Marketer & Owner). He made sure that we were on the right track as far as getting all of the details together, and he understood exactly what we were going for. From there, he set us up with a designer. We worked with him remotely, and he was very responsive, quick to make any adjustments, and feel us out with all of the little changes we were suggesting. 

Now, our main contact is Roger (Developer). While we were putting the site together, and now if we need changes, he’s quick to respond to us. He puts together a tutorial video for us if it’s something that we want to learn how to do from the backend on our side. If it’s something quick that he can fix, he just jumps on it for us. 

How did you come to work with Sagapixel SEO?

My partner found them online. I don’t know which website they were ranked on, but they were one of the top reviewed companies in our area. They were super easy to get in touch with. They were also right down the street from our office, so we were able to have an initial in-person meeting, get to know them a little bit, and see if they were the right fit, which they were.

How much have you invested with them?

I believe it was probably $4,500.

What is the status of this engagement?

I believe that we started in March 2020, and it’s ongoing. The site launched about two months after we initially met with them. We had given them a timeframe, and they met it. Our site is constantly being updated with new manufacturers and products. We now go back-and-forth every couple of weeks with minor adjustments and changes.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Sagapixel set us up with Google Analytics, so we’re able to see who’s coming to the site and where they’re clicking. That opened our eyes to how often our site’s being used. Unfortunately, we didn’t use Google Analytics before, so I don’t have a comparison of how many clicks we used to get versus now. 

Now that we can track analytics, we see pretty much what we were expecting as far as people coming to our site. We can zone in on what they’re coming to our site for and how easy it seems for them to find it. We’ve had a couple of customers who gave us positive feedback as well, saying it was nice that the site got cleaned up so much from our previous one, and that it’s very user-friendly now. Everybody we’ve talked to has been happy with it.

How did Sagapixel SEO perform from a project management standpoint?

Sagapixel was great. They hit all of our deadlines. They knew that we had some adjustments that would be coming beyond our deadline, but they were able to get the base of the site up and looking good to be able to launch it. They’re still easy to communicate with when we think of any minor adjustments or changes.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I didn’t know that I’d be able to do so much as far as these minor changes because I’m not very well-versed with website building. I’d say that the best benefit for us right now is their ability to create a tutorial video and send it over to us. Then, I take a minute or two to watch the video and can make the adjustment myself, so I don’t have to bother them every single time I want a similar change on our site. That’s been super helpful.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Honestly, I don’t really have anything. They hit all of the deadlines for us, and they were very communicative. They also nailed the design. They gave us three initial designs, and two of them were pretty much spot on to what we wanted. They were right there, right off of the gun.

Any advice for potential customers?

It’s tough now because it did help us a lot when we had our in-person meetings and could brainstorm together. I imagine that if you’re working remotely due to COVID-19, you’ll still be able to get the best out of it based on how communicative they were from the beginning. They were very clear to follow up and make sure they hit the nail on the head every time for us.

I was appreciative of the fact that they weren’t overseas. They were based in the US, which made it easy to work with them.

We collaborated for about a week in October 2020.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

At the moment, I can see what was done from a coding standpoint. In terms of SEO, however, it’s too early to gather metrics from their efforts.

Sagapixel was prompt and performed well throughout the project. Their communication was good, and it was easy to work with them.

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was most impressed by their customer service. Their team was competent, and the experience was pleasant and easy.

I didn’t see any need for improvement in regard to my particular project.

We wanted to update our website into something that had a more current flow. We also wanted to design the website to cater to the needs of our three types of visitors: potential clients, people we serve, and applicants.

What was the scope of their involvement?

Sagapixel SEO overhauled our website and redid it from the ground up, building it with HTML5. They talked to our executives and key stakeholders about the overall look and feel they wanted.

The team helped us translate what we wanted into the end product. They also helped us with a little bit of SEO, in terms of designing the website so that it could be crawled well.

We worked with 2–3 teammates, including Frank (Founder) and two developers. We worked with them at different stages.

We spent between $5,000–$10,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with them from about June 2018–March 2019. We engage them now and then when we need to make content changes for our website.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The project was completed, which allowed us to get feedback from our customers. In addition to doing a great job of listening to us, they also translated what we were saying into actual requirements. 

Frank and his team were great about accommodating our requirements, such as not being able to use tools like WordPress. They met all of our needs, and continue to do maintenance. We need certain elements regularly updated, and it’s rare for them to take more than 24 hours to get back to me.

How did Sagapixel SEO perform from a project management standpoint?

Frank was good about listening and interjecting where he needed to. Rather than just asking what we wanted, he would give us a couple of examples and let us pick. He would then zoom in on our choices and determine what we were looking for.

This was a good way for Sagapixel SEO to attack scope creep and not let it take over the project. I give them credit for that because it’s not an easy thing to do. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Sagapixel SEO knew their business. Our CIO was very demanding as far as doing things a certain way, and the team accomplished that. They were also knowledgeable about the product they were building.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I have no suggestions. The entire experience was very positive.

Work with them and express your opinions. The more info you give them, the better they’re going to be able to meet your expectations and give you a product you’ll be happy with.
