I’m the COO of a CBD treatments startup.

What challenge were you trying to address with S13 Design?

We needed help with web development. We had a website previously, but it was very “light weight”.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

They helped create our new site. We provided the content and looked to S13 for design direction. They created some mockups that we approved and they moved forward with site development. It’s an informational site that appeals to our primary stakeholders (ie: partners and investors).

They also helped us with our slide deck. We provided the content and they did all the design work to make it pretty and professional. They came up with a bunch of original graphics, which were really cool.

What is the team composition?

We worked with one person from their team.

How did you come to work with S13 Design?

They were referred to us. I worked with them in the past and knew they were quick and efficient.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent in the order of $5,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working together in January 2020, and we wrapped up in March 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Our web traffic increased by 300%–400%, which resulted in an increase in investor inquiries. Our old site just had a simple form so this is a vast improvement.

How did S13 Design perform from a project management standpoint?

We were very pleased with the quality of work and responsiveness. They have very quick response times and they’re very on top of our project. We have them on Slack, which made it easy. We also used email to keep in touch.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their turnaround and response times were the best that I’ve experienced to date. There was a high degree of hand-holding and responsibility for the project. The quality of work was excellent. I liked their original graphics and iconography.

Are there any areas they could improve?

Because of the limited scope of the engagement, I didn’t have enough of an opportunity to see any major issues.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

As with any design firm, have a clear idea of what you want to achieve. If you open it up too much, you won’t know what success looks like. Know exactly what you want out of the engagement and set clear milestones.

I have worked with S13 Design in multiple capacities, but primarily for a myriad of different content design and execution under my direction.

What were your goals for this project?

Our goals were to build up our content library with interesting, interactive, and creative content.

How did you select S13 Design?

Having worked with S13 at my previous agency, I knew the great quality of work, efficiency, and attention to detail S13 provided. There was no one else I thought of to take on my projects at my new position.

I directed creatives ranging from infographics, interactive content, social media content and gifs, and more which were quickly and efficiently executed and created by S13.

I've worked directly with Stephen and can attest to his professionalism and responsiveness!

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Our brand's look and content are specific and unique and can be difficult to master, but S13 nailed it on the first go.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Working with Stephen directly is seamless and doesn't allow for miscommunication from project start to end.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Attention to detail, creative self-starting, and efficiency!
