For what projects/services did your company hire Ruby Logic, and what were your goals?

Unhappy with our previous developers and the amount of over-run on the development of the new system so we decided to try out Ruby logic instead to take over the whole build.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

One of the highest calibre people we worked with at the previous developers moved to Ruby Logic so we contacted him to find out if we could have a chat with his new firm. Had a great conversation with them where they filled us with confidence at the right price so decided to go ahead.

Walked through each deliverable with them, they gave us mock ups, ran through scenarios and actually asked great questions to make sure we were developing the right solutions to problems. They then wrote the code, did testing at their end and supported us through our user testing as well as fixing and bugs we found.

Anything between 2-4 people depending on what stage of the project we were at. They did coding and developing of the system, testing, bug fixes and everything else in between.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Quality of the end result was excellent. We very rarely went over time on any deliverables and if we did it was minimal. Project phases also came in close to budget and overall very happy.

Overall PM was great especially in comparison to the previous developer used and most impressive was the quality of the communication at every stage.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Direct access to all members of the team including the developers themselves. Did not waste time going via the PM only. The right people were gathered for each call, and the quality of the delivered solutions was spot on. Truly felt like working in partnership with them to find the best solution.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Honestly thought they were excellent and would struggle to find improvement suggestions.

Recommendations. Deciiding factor was Ruby Logic background in working with production companies.

Couple of meetings to describe customers problems then working on potential solutions. Everything was coordinated by experienced PM. MVP after 1 month 2 more months to come up with final version od software Then some minor bug fixingu and adjustments.

Project was delivered on time and within a scope. Finished product helped us: - decrease time spent on finding tasks and documents by 80% - improve communication flow across all departments - increased number od tasks finished on time from 71% to 93%

Ruby Logic was responsible for whole process of mobile app creation. We had only outside mockup.The rest was made by Ruby. They delivered all solutions for Frontend and Backend. Smoothly.

I'm a CTO in Sabner. Our company is a CNC manufacturer specializing in the production of small metal turned parts. Our clients come from many areas of the industry for example automotive, energy, and electronics.

We had problems with the management of the technical documentation related to many small projects from different clients. It was a challenge to create a central system where all the information would be up to date and easy to access.

We found Ruby Logic through a referral and considered them among a few other vendors. From the very first meeting, they stood out of the competition with a very good understanding of our domain problems.

The project was a custom web application created with Ruby on Rails. In the beginning, the application was a simple inventory management system with a feature to manage the technical documentation. But our team together with Ruby Logic was adding the new features for a long time and finally the application transformed into a complete MRP system.

The project manager was the only person who worked with us at that time. From our perspective, it was great to have a single person to communicate with. All our communication was fast and effective.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

The application reduced our paperwork by 70% during the first three months. All the technical details about the projects were stored in the application. It also reduced the errors by 50% - our workers were always able to check the current status of the project online.

The project management was great. They implemented a special ticket system that allowed us to track the progress of each requested change. The changes requested were done in a timely manner and the urgent upgrades were delivered immediately.

The most unique about Ruby Logic is their truly agile way of working. With Ruby Logic, we could innovate much faster and experiment with new ideas on the go.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

The quality of work was excellent. But after the project was developed into a fully-fledged MRP application adding new features become more and more complex. I think the test-driven development would save us from this pain in future projects. I discussed this with the project manager and he told me currently they work using that methodology.
