Introduce your business and what you do there.

I’m the founder and CEO of TEQQED, which is a full-service digital agency. We have our own employees, but we also outsource to other partners frequently when we have too much work or have specific partners whose expertise is well suited to certain projects.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

What challenge were you trying to address with Rocketships?

In this particular case, we asked Ian (Owner) to help us with a project for a real estate company in Brisbane, Australia, because of the time difference between our teams.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We handled the design of the project, and they were responsible for the technical development of the project as well as the project management because of their shared time zone with the client. They also worked on the discovery phase with the client, mapping out all of the content and features that they wanted on the site before sending it to us to design and then taking over for the final stages of the actual build using Yougo.

What is the team composition?

I mostly communicate with Ian and he manages the team on his side, but I know that he had two developers working on the project with him.

How did you come to work with Rocketships?

We have a mutual friend in Australia, and I asked if he knew of any companies that could handle this need. He referred me to Ian right away, and we hit it off right from the start.

How much have you invested with them?

In total, we spent between $5,000–$10,000 on the work.

What is the status of this engagement?

This particular project lasted from June–July 2020.

RESULTS & FEEDBACK

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

One of the best things about working with Rocketships is how streamlined their process is. Since we work with a lot of other partner companies from time to time, I can honestly say that the way they process designs makes the required QA once they’re done almost non-existent. We were very impressed with everything that they delivered.

How did Rocketships perform from a project management standpoint?

The whole process was easy to manage. Their team was communicative and responsive, despite the time zone differences, and they were always focused on efficiency so we never worried if we were going to finish the project on time or in budget.

We communicated primarily through Slack, so we were able to talk to them around the clock whenever we needed to. That went a long way in keeping communication flowing and ensuring that we were always on the same page.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their combination of skill and expertise in building technical products with efficiency and a focus on the business goals of the project make them an extremely easy partner to work with. They contribute to every aspect of the project, from design to development, to make the entire process easier.

Are there any areas they could improve?

There have occasionally been slight delays because we spend more time agreeing on the design than we probably need to, but I would rather spend more time on the frontend than have to fix issues on the backend instead, so I really don’t consider that a negative.

I`m the Director and Principal of Irontree Consulting. Irontree is a recruitment firm in Brisbane Australia.

For what projects/services did your company hire Rocketships?

I worked with Rocketships to Design and build my website representing my business and services.

What were your goals for this project?

To have a professional and attractive website to refer clientele and business partners to. I wanted something that would reflect my personality and personal values.

How did you select this vendor?

I was introduced to him through the Brisbane market as someone who is down to earth and trustworthy. Meeting him it was obvious that he cares and is more articulate and detailed than anyone else I came across.

Describe the project in detail.

He worked in understanding my goals as a recruitment firm and what separates me and the rest of the operators here in Brisbane. From there he worked with me to identify personal attributes and values to ensure I can portray that within my website. He worked with me on the content and imagery through to how I structured it for everyday visitors. He went above and beyond to investigate products and add ons that would benefit me personally.

What was the team composition?

I was primarily assigned to work with Ian.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Rocketships was outstanding. They delivered everything I could have hoped for. It's scary jumping into a website build hearing all the horror stories out there but Rocketships and Ian made it so easy and more exciting than I imagined. He worked with me on the feel and focus on the design (a lot more detailed than any others I spoke to) all the way to how my content connected and was absorbed by the demographics I was targeting. He truly went the extra mile to ensure it was a great representation of me and my business.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

Good. They kept me in the loop with where they were at with their project delivery linking me to their Kanban board. I was always informed of where things were and Ian was proactive in keeping me engaged along the way.

What did you find most impressive about this company?

Genuine care for the customer. My dealings were with Ian and he was always there to help with things no matter how big or small. He genuinely cared about my success and how it was going to impact my business. When you work with these guys you have a friend — someone who will look out for you and ensure success.

My goals for the project were to have a website developed that would capture and convey the vision and hopes of my business

Describe the project in detail.

The project involved meeting with Ian and discussing in detail what my hopes fir the website were. Ian was incredibly attentive to my vision and produced a website for my business that I could not possibly be more happy with.

It was just Ian and myself involved with in the project.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

I have only been operating for two months but I have had great feedback about my website and have had several clients name contact with as a result of visiting the website.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

I could not be happier with the interactions between Rocket Ships and myself.
