We commissioned ROCC Film to produce a series of videos. The videos are for the website of a pharmaceutical company that produces special heat patches for back, neck and knee pain. The videos feature a sports scientist and a physiotherapist performing sports and stretching exercises. ROCC Film was responsible for finding the location, casting the physiotherapist, filming the videos and doing the post-production work.

What were the measurable outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

We were able to integrate the videos into the website as planned. This content is a supplementary service, help content for the target groups. The videos are search engine optimized and also appear on YouTube. Thanks to the videos, we were able to increase organic traffic, significantly extend the length of stay and increase the return rate.

The project management was very professional, and inquiries and change requests were all dealt with promptly. The close exchange and collegial cooperation was particularly important in post-production, as the text inserts in the videos were checked by various departments in the pharmaceutical company, such as the specialist department and legal department. ROCC Film implemented all content change requests promptly and at no extra cost.

The director and the cameraman both acted very professionally on set and coached the two protagonists very well. The atmosphere was relaxed the whole time. The shooting days were a lot of fun, the atmosphere was good and the cooperation was very respectful and trusting.

There is no area that I think ROCC Film needs to improve. I was very happy with the collaboration and the results and the pharmaceutical company was delighted with the quality of the videos.

The outcomes were pretty clear. The Swiss brand got a sleek, high-quality advert that captured exactly what they wanted with luxury feel, authentic Berlin atmosphere, strong visuals. Engagement on social media jumped after the launch, with way more views and interactions than their usual posts. They also saw a noticeable bump in inquiries and web visits right after the ad went live, which directly linked back to the campaign. The brand was especially happy because the content resonated both locally (in Berlin) and internationally. Overall, Plush74 and ROCC Film managed to deliver something creative and impactful that clearly moved the needle for the client.

The most impressive thing about ROCC Film was their eye for detail and creativity. They really understood how to blend Berlin’s vibe with the Swiss brand's premium image. it felt fresh and authentic, not like typical ads. Their whole team was proactive, always suggesting cool ideas we hadn’t thought of.

Honestly, nothing major. Maybe clearer communication around a few small details early on, just to keep everyone fully aligned. But overall, they nailed it - no big issues at all.

We needed support to produce a video interview for an end client, which was a consulting firm. We needed to work with a service provided that could produce the video on short notice.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The video portrayed interviews with two high rank German professionals: a judge and a politician. ROCC Film Berlin took care of the entire filming process, which included writing the video's script, providing the filming crew and 3–4 cameras, and managing the editing and postproduction process. ROCC Film Berlin also created the set design and delivered the final video.

I worked with 3–4 teammates from ROCC Film Berlin, including Christoph (Producer) and Christian (Creative Director). One of them was the director, and the other one was a camera operator DOP. We also worked with a third teammate who took care of the editing process and another who assisted.

ROCC went through several weeks of training with us and were a pleasure to work with. There had not been a time where communication has been an issue. They were direct with their timelines and understood that we sometimes need to be very direct with ours. They constantly worked within our schedule to find the best solutions for our final project.

Above all of the exceptional communication, this group adjusted their shooting style and look to meet our specific company needs but maintained their extreme quality and feel. They improved upon an already well-established international film program.

They have traveled some great distances for us and always outperformed our expectations. I would be hard pressed to find significant room for improvement.

I’m a B2B communication manager in the marketing department for medneo. We’re a medical supplier, especially in the radiology department. We have diagnosis centers where doctors can rent the machines. They don’t need to own the devices; they just use our equipment.

ROCC Film Gbr created a recruiting video. We made a small storyboard together, and they interviewed the person and took pictures around the diagnostic center. Finally, they filmed the background, the interview, and the typical workflow to show what we were looking for.

We worked with someone from the HR department, a graphic specialist, and a project lead. Additionally, some colleagues acted in the video as the doctor, a patient in the waiting area, and so on.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We had a lot of good feedback from the recruiting department, competitors, and social media. The video’s visual style, music, and dynamics were outstanding.

Moreover, we cut the video into three separate videos for social media, and we saw an increase in recruitment thanks to that. We used it for LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, our website, and recruiting sites.

In general, we were very satisfied with the organization and kickoff meeting. We got a lot of support from the production and camera team. They created the video from another perspective, and it was a great working relationship. The atmosphere was relaxed and professional.

Project management was excellent. We’ve had other projects with other agencies, and they’ve been unsuccessful many times due to their late deliveries and bad communication. With ROCC Film Gbr, the communication was good, and our engagement was really professional.

I was the former head of business development at a venture capital and consulting firm. We had more than 800 people covering six different companies, and our business model was building new startups in the financial services area, helping them with their first idea, fundraising, and scaling. I was responsible for generating new ideas and creating new companies from scratch.

What challenge were you trying to address with ROCC Film Gbr?

We were developing a new business model and the goal was to convince the joint venture partner, a big corporation, to make the investment to kick off this company. Instead of just pitching the idea to the company’s management board, we wanted create a visual that would explain the business model.

At the same time, we wanted to make it more tangible with user feedback. We then decided to produce a small video that would show different emotions and content from different people. As a result, we hired ROCC Film Gbr to provide video production services.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

ROCC Film Gbr helped us establish the video’s main idea and structure. We only provided them with clips of our digital products, and they did everything else, including storyboarding, editing, and audio mixing. In the end, they created an animated video of all of our digital products. They also featured several customer interviews, and those recordings had the surrounding city views as their background.

Since the idea was to create a bank for restaurants, we needed to make it more authentic by talking to a lot of restaurant owners to understand their pain points, especially in availing of financial services. On top of that, they provided a voiceover during the parts where we showed the animations of our digital products.

We worked with Christian (Creative Director) and Christoph (Lighting & Cameraman), but there might’ve been external partners involved in the project.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

We were able to present the video they produced to the management board, and we received extremely positive feedback. We were happy to work with them, and we would 100% recommend them. 

How did ROCC Film Gbr perform from a project management standpoint?

We had a super short timeline and the team delivered on time. Their pricing was also fair, so overall, we had a very positive experience with ROCC Film Gbr. We communicated through WhatsApp, in-person meetings, and emails.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They were very open to understanding our needs, and they delivered high-quality and creative work. Personally, I didn’t have any background in production, so they were able to help me navigate the project’s procedures. Since they understood what we needed, they shared great recommendations, too.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We didn’t have any issues or problems during the engagement. However, if they would take on a bigger project, they might need to add more people because they only have a small team.

We relaunched the Commerzbank Mobile Banking App and were looking for a production company to create an advertising film to promote the relaunch internally. We wanted to inform everyone about the new features and possibilities the new app would have and also motivate the Commerzbank employees throughout the world to use and recommend the app.

We were a little short term with our idea and needed a production company that is fast and flexible. We found this in Rocc film.

First, we brainstormed together what the content of the video would be. We decided what we want the key message to be and who we need as interview partners as well as which pictures we need to underline these messages. They travelled to our HQ in Frankfurt for us, moderated and filmed the interviews and additional scenery and edited everything in a very short time.

We worked directly with the owners of Rocc Film, Christian and Christoph. Feedback would go back and forth quite fast and easy.

We showed off the new video on the intranet and the feedback was amazing. Everyone was now on the same page about the new and upcoming features of the app and even the ones that were a bit sceptical about the relaunch were now fans of this new app.

We have had very little time to prepare. It had to start in the shortest possible time. ROCC was super flexible in scheduling, we discussed preliminary arrangements and goals for the videos in detail on the phone. ROCC set up the setting and the technology professionally. The people in front of the camera looked very authentic and natural and made great statements. the way ROCC worked was highly professional. first, the film was edited for content. After the content was released, it was tuned up visually and sound-wise. The coordination always worked, we always knew about the status of the project and the next steps. We are more than satisfied with the result. Great videos!

Our organization was celebrating our 30th anniversary with a number of private and public events, across seven countries and five continents. We needed to create a video to play at all of these events that would celebrate our 30 years of work, while highlighting the impact we have had on the industry and our continued efforts to further impact the global patient community.

How did you select this vendor?

We have had the pleasure of working with ROCC before on both local and global video projects relating to awareness and registration campaigns. We selected them again for this project, as they had previously proved themselves to not only be knowledgable and adept in their field, but keenly able to pick up on the nuances and needs of our specific business and industry and adapt ideas to better conform to our expectations and desires.

Describe the scope of their work in detail, including any steps and the final deliverables.

We needed to create one film that addressed 30 years of history and highlighted the unique individual achievements of seven different offices across five continents. The scope was large, as the entire video needed be a manageable 5-6 minutes while covering a wide array of topics and achievements, while also including enough time to map out our current endeavors and future plans.

The ROCC team also needed to create the video out of repurpsoed footage, b roll, and still images sent in from across the countries and across the decades (meaning varying resolutions and quality), while ensuring that the final piece was seamless.

The creation and delivery of the video to place over the course of two months, including the initial ideation phase. The final deliverables also required multiple versions of the video, with subtitles in the different languages of the countries we operate in, as well as both a German and English voice-over.

I personally worked with three members of ROCC: the two founders and creative directors, as well as a Director/Editor.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

The project was quite successful and the end product was well received both internally and externally. A key endorsement for the video also came from the current global CEO and our founders, who believe that the video was not only successful in achieving our initial goals, but also managed to maintain our organization's tone of voice and values. It was as if we had created the video externally!

ROCC Film Gbr had a very hands-on approach to project management, meeting frequently with us during the initial ideation stage and touching base only on any aspect of the film that they anticipated may require further discussion.

They laid out clear timelines for what would be achievable and were quick to adapt to any necessary changes we had either for the over all production or specific aspects of the video that needed to be corrected or edited.

They not only listened to our requests, but were able to learn from what we asked for to better deliver what we ultimately wanted. Ultimately, even on a tight timeline, ROCC Film Gbr ensured all deliveries were prompt, even when edits were needed.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

The fact that the company has remained small, with a core group of employees, allows it to be both more flexible and also more aware as a whole of the needs of their clients. The companies founders are creative in their approach to ideation and very good at synthesizing the requests of clients to better present them with a final product that reflects the desires of the client, sometimes beyond even what they originally imagined.

This dynamic makes the company approachable for projects, even if the organization approaching them does not have a clear and final idea of what they want.
