I’m the CEO and lead educator of Definitive Safety Group LLC, and what we do is use a web-based e-learning application geared towards individuals looking to be in the business sector.

What challenge were you trying to address with RNF Technologies?

RNF Technologies helped me create the web application and tailored it to the way that I needed.

What was the scope of their involvement?

The web app allows individuals to sign up using basic information, and then they can select and pay for the class they want. I can upload videos, materials, and e-books we created on the admin side of the page. Everything is streamed through the website, but users aren’t permitted to download the materials. The server is on AWS. The platform has a mobile version, but it’s not done yet.

What is the team composition?

We have 3-5 people working on the project. There was a team of web developers with expertise in different aspects of the development process, so one of them was great with landing pages, another one was focused on the backend, and so on. 

How did you come to work with RNF Technologies?

RNF Technologies actually reached out to me, and it was odd because I hadn't really been actively looking. However, they reached out to me on LinkedIn, and once I told them about the project, they helped me bring it to fruition.

I've invested $5,000. 

What is the status of this engagement?

The RNF Technologies team started working on the website in March 2020, and it was finished in September 2020. However, the relationship is ongoing. They have a support package where they offer ongoing support, so I’m on a contract for that for six months.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We’re still awaiting launch, but the quality of the platform is great. I’m honestly surprised at the quality of the website. The communication throughout the project was also excellent. I would recommend their team to anybody.

How did RNF Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

We communicate mostly through Slack and email. If I want to send a file over, I can just send it in Slack. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The communication and the development of the site were the aspects that impressed me the most. 

Are there any areas they could improve?

There’s nothing that I could think of. The only trouble I have is with the different time zones. Sometimes I have to stay up late or wake up early for meetings, but other than that, they have done a great job.

Any advice for potential customers?

Have your plans ready for RNF Technologies, but don’t expect immediate replies because of the time zone differences.

I am the COO of a game development company.

What challenge were you trying to address with RNF Technologies?

My company invented a new casino game and we decided to launch the online version first due to COVID-19. We needed a prototype to show potential partners, investors, and larger gaming development companies in hopes that they would publish the apps on Android, iOS, and PC.

RNF Technologies developed a prototype application that detailed how the casino game worked. They did everything from coding to design.

I found them on Clutch and I saw they had good reviews. Then I looked for them on the App Store and saw that they had published casino games, so we went with them.

We spent just under $20,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

The project lasted from September 2020–February 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

The project was a success and they accomplished a lot for us. They did what we asked them to do and delivered what we needed to move forward, so we're very happy. It’s just a prototype, so it’s not live — it’s basically a demo with four different outcomes with the payout. In the final version, we plan on having a random generator produce unlimited outcomes.

The people we’ve shown it to aren't necessarily in the business, but everybody loved it. We’re starting to share it with our colleagues in game development and we’re excited to see what happens.

How did RNF Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They were very communicative. We primarily corresponded via email and we would have weekly Google Meets. We had a Slack workspace set up, but we didn't really need it. 

The work took longer than it normally would because of the changes we made, but they were very accommodating. On their end, they were right on schedule and they did a great job. If we asked for any changes or gave them tasks, they would very quickly complete them. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

The value for the price was really impressive. They were also very accommodating, transparent, and easy to work with. My partner and I weren't very savvy about the development aspect of it, as far as what kind of work was required and all the lingo — they were very clear on what we needed and helped us a lot. We were very pleased with their work.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I don't think there’s anything they could’ve done differently. They were wonderful. If our side had thought more about things beforehand, it might have made it smoother, but we were learning on the way, too.

My advice is to definitely work with them — they're awesome.

I’m the owner and founder of a direct-to-consumer luxury women’s footwear brand.

What challenge were you trying to address with RNF Technologies?

I was addressing some website capabilities that needed to be improved and enhanced. We needed to add pre-order functionality, make some design fixes, and elevate the code to make for a more seamless shopping experience for our customers.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

Before starting this project with them, we were working with a pricier developer that didn’t end up completing the work. They picked up where that developer left off. The main functionality they added to our Shopify site was a pre-order feature. Especially during COVID-19, it was important for customers to be able to pre-order products. They were responsible for creating the entire pre-order flow and experience, addressing when messages pop up to direct the journey.

Additionally, they made the general design of our site and buttons more consistent across the platform. To execute, they duplicated the site and made all the enhancements on the backend in a draft. Once it was ready to go live, they published the draft.  

What is the team composition?

My first contact was with a representative who set up my account and gave me peace of mind in determining the scope of work. After they walked me through the scope of the work, she handed me off to a project manager and a developer. I was in constant contact with both of them.  

How did you come to work with RNF Technologies?

I heard of their services through a Shopify network. At that point, I really needed a new development team and reached out. After our call, I had the confidence to move forward.

I spent about $3,000 on their work. They have competitive rates and allow customers to bundle some services. 

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked together from November–December 2020. I’ll be using their services again for more site updates.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

Overall, they did a great job. The pre-order functionality created incremental sales that added to our cash flow. The site speed has improved and any bugs are few and far between. When I go on the website, I’m confident that it’s as frictionless as can be from a UX perspective. We’re seeing improvements in the number of emails we’re collecting, overall design aesthetic, and brand perception. 

How did RNF Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

We used Slack to communicate. I woke up each morning to direct answers to my questions and fixes for relevant issues. If there was something very urgent, I could also send an email for a quick response. Within an hour, they responded to those emails. It was very seamless. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

Their pricing and timelines were very impressive. We were happy about their responsiveness because they were able to fix any issues we ran into very quickly.  

Are there any areas they could improve?

It would’ve been nice if they could pay a bit more attention to small details on the site. There were small uniformity issues that I caught that could’ve been addressed in the QA process. Beyond that, they did an amazing job.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

I’d highly recommend them and suggest that customers are very clear in their communication. When I sent emails, I was sure to be clear about what I needed and exactly how I wanted deliverables to look. They’re the first developers I’ve rehired because of their competitive pricing and good work, so I’d definitely recommend them.

What challenge were you trying to address with RNF Technologies?

I’ve been working with RNF Technologies for almost 13 years. They’ve worked on numerous web and app development projects for each of my companies.

What was the scope of their involvement?

For each project we work on together, I usually present the problem, they come up with the solution, I close the deal, and then they build whatever we need.

Recently, they developed a website for our staffing company that features instant messaging, notifications, and alerts. Recruiters can access analytics on the backend of the platform. It also has privacy and security functions.

They’ve also built a website for a gun company and have even built an operating system for an offshore pipeline.

What is the team composition?

We worked with Sarah (Manager, Client Relations), Nitish (VP), and Imran (VP).

How did you come to work with RNF Technologies?

I originally needed outsourcing help for my software company. I was working with another company, but they didn’t live up to my expectations. I finally found Nitish on LinkedIn. Once we connected, our relationship truly blossomed.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about $30,000 on the staffing project and about $500,000 on the operating system for the offshore pipeline (approximately $530,000 in total).

What is the status of this engagement?

We’ve been working with them on and off since 2008, but the staffing project lasted from February–November 2018.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

Since I’ve been working with them, I’ve never had a complaint. They’re my secret weapon. All of our customers are very happy.

The staffing website was particularly successful. We receive about 200 resumes a day through the platform.

How did RNF Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They’re very reliable, communicative, and transparent. When I message Sarah on LinkedIn, she calls me immediately.

We usually communicate over email because they set up a Gmail account for me specifically for our collaboration.

We can also access a software system that allows us to view what phase of the project they’re working on at any given time.

They’re always eager to complete the project and will adapt to what we need. They’re located overseas, but they stay up and work through the night to keep up with our schedule.  

What did you find most impressive about them?

They care about delivering a quality end-product and pleasing their clients.

I don’t think there’s anything they need to improve on.

If you’re going to work with them, be upfront about what you need. They've been willing to adjust prices or create solutions that are within our budget.

I’m the associate director of digital strategy at a nonprofit support program for the friends and family of alcoholics.

We wanted to make our program available to people in remote areas.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They created a mobile iOS/Android app for us. Key features included Zoom meeting functionality, a chat, a newsfeed for posting, and a private recovery journal.

We did a Google search for mobile app developers. We had narrowed down our pool to two candidates but neither could do what we needed. We went back out and found RNF. They were in our budget and they were committed to the timing that we wanted to achieve.

We started working together in October 2019, and our work is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement? 

This was our first experience with a mobile app and we learned a lot. RNF was really helpful in preparing us with what to expect with Apple reviews. Although our members had some initial issues with learning how to use the app, once they started to use it the feedback was positive.

How did RNF Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

From a personnel perspective, they’re fantastic. They are willing to meet with us at any time, even though they’re in India. They cater to our work hours so that we can connect as often we needed to. We used Asana for project management.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They’re flexible and responsive. Anytime we had an issue, they were very patient. I never felt inferior and they took time to explain everything to make sure we were comfortable.

Are there any areas they could improve?

They could focus on creating better time estimates.

Do you have any advice for potential customers?

Anyone who hires RNF Technologies for their project will be happy. The overall project is good, the interactions are solid, and the project management is great. They’re very responsive overall. Do some due diligence and learn what’s involved in making a mobile app.

I’m the business development manager at SilkWater. Our organization provides agricultural solutions for companies all over the world. We have offices in Vienna, Austria, and Georgia.

What challenge were you trying to address with RNF Technologies?

We worked with RNF Technologies to develop a basic ERP that would help our clients manage their farms. I had a basic idea of what I was looking for but didn’t know how to translate that into software.

What was the scope of their involvement?

RNF Technologies developed our ERP. In the initial stage, they went over my requirements before starting the actual development phase. We then went back and forth to build out a custom solution.

What is the team composition?

I was in touch with three people during the project, including a project lead. Another person came onboard for specific technical assistance.

How did you come to work with RNF Technologies?

I was specifically vetting companies overseas based on industry feedback. The goal was to find good, relatively cost-effective options. After reading reviews for RNF Technologies from people who were satisfied with their work, I spoke with them and decided to go ahead with the partnership.

So far, the cost has been between $27,000–$28,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We started working with them in February 2019, and the project is in its final stages. While they could’ve finished the project earlier, we faced some delays because I had to work on another project and wasn’t available during certain periods.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We plan to release the project within the next few days, so I currently don’t have any data. But RNF Technologies has helped us move in the direction that we want to evolve into. 

The fact that we can even provide this kind of solution to our clients gives us a definite advantage over our competitors. Now, we can offer a single package that includes products, consultation, and software.

How did RNF Technologies perform from a project management standpoint?

They’ve been excellent. Whenever I need help with something, I know I can speak to someone within the same day. For example, I wanted to make changes in the architecture of the platform, and they did it quicker than I expected. 

The majority of the communication is via emails, and we have phone calls once in a while, during which they can ask me questions and vice versa.

What did you find most impressive about them?

Compared to other service providers in general, they’re always available despite the time difference. That’s been a big relief for me, and I’m very happy with the service.

Are there any areas they could improve?

During some stages, they seemed to only do exactly what I’d requested without looking at what kind of solution I needed. I would’ve expected a bit more interaction from their side on that front, but it was mostly coming from us.

Do you have any advice for future clients of theirs?

Come with a properly thought out idea and determine exactly what you want because you shouldn’t expect to get answers directly from the developers. They’re really just the ones building your idea. If you’re looking to gain better insights, talk to your customer base.

What challenge were you trying to address with Resourcifi by RNF?

We wanted to create a speech-to-text tool for Android devices. At the time, we weren’t aware of an existing app on the market that resembled our idea. We needed a competent and skilled team to develop the complicated backend coding for our app.

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement?

We asked Resourcifi to create an Android app, that would act as a speech-to-text plug-in for multiple platforms. The voice-activated interface was supposed to read out messages or text then allow for an audible reply without requiring the user to open a keyboard or press a microphone button. The tool needed to support multiple languages with accuracy.

What is the team dynamic?

We worked with two different project managers. There were about six developers at a time, but the team size varied according to our needs and their availability.

How did you come to work with Resourcifi by RNF?

We found them through a standard internet search and reached out after researching their past work and pricing. They were proactive about communicating their interest to partner with us. Their first bid and proposed scope plan seemed to align with our needs.

How much have you invested with them?

We spent about $15,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

We worked with RNF from March—December 2017.

How did the relationship evolve?

We realized Resourcifi did not understand our goal in the initial phases of the project. Instead of a plug-in tool, they began developing a separate Android messenger app. It was not what we had originally planned, but we decided to stick with the project.

After internally testing the first Android Package (APK) delivery, we found it was a simple wireframe messaging platform that lacked the ability to translate or understand other languages, only other accents. We communicated the outstanding issues and gaps, but they were in no rush to make the improvements. From our end, it seemed they were not interested in helping our tool reach its full potential.

Resourcifi made some of the changes following some persuasive discussions. We had a completed app, but not the one we asked them to build. At the end of the partnership, we found that their team had also put their brand on the app’s package name and kept the store key to prevent any future edits.

Describe the impact this engagement has had on your business.

Resourcifi pushed the project’s estimated timeframe for completion from an initial three months to eight months. We continued to collaborate in hopes of producing the correct tool, but were misled to believe that the team was making significant progress. The team submitted the same APK for testing multiple times and withheld critical ownership information. After ending the engagement, we had to delay our efforts to further develop the app until they agreed to give us access to the store key.

How was project management handled?

We communicated mainly via phone and Skype calls and shared documentation and APKs through email. Their team worked according to their local hours, so a lot of our calls went into the early morning.

What advice do you have for clients with similar needs to yours?

Our experience gives us reason to believe that Resourcifi was sharing some of our technical information and ideas despite a signed NDA. We consistently saw traces of our innovative technology in other products launching in the app markets. It came to our attention that the members of the Resourcifi team were also connected to another company with a different name. We suspect that the team was collecting ideas and sharing them through the alternative company.

I manage the websites and coordinate advertising and SEO for a distributor of safety products to both US and international companies.

What challenge were you trying to address with RNF Technologies?

We were trying to create a new, adaptive, mobile friendly website and to increase customer base with efficient and effective SEO and online advertising. 

SOLUTION

What was the scope of their involvement? 

They created the new website’s layout, developed contact forms, and downloaded sections for catalogs. They also helped with analytics by implementing user tracking capabilities and goal conversions.  In terms of technology, we mutually decided to build the site off Joomla with certain additional pieces powered by PHP libraries like CodeIgniter and Laravel.

How did you come to work with RNF Technologies? 

RNF Technologies found us and were very persistent and convincing about what they can do and offer, explaining how they could help us increase our business. RNF stood out from the other companies we were looking at because they had the team in place which satisfied all our special requirements.

We have spent upwards of $75,000 with them.

What is the status of this engagement? 

The work is ongoing. Our relationship has lasted for about 3 years now.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement? 

The final product was a big upgrade from our old site. While our online business has been a steady source of revenue for us, we just did not have enough time to concentrate on updating it. RNF helped us in moving past that situation, and the new site has been appreciated by our clients and vendors, alike. Since the launch, we have also seen considerable improvements in our incoming traffic and sales.

How did RNF Technologies perform in terms of project management?

They were outstanding and very responsive to all of our concerns and questions. I personally only dealt with two people: our development and online marketing project managers. Perhaps if there had been a break down in communication, I would have had to step in and get more people on their side involved; however, I never felt the need to do. All information relayed and discussed with the project managers was clearly communicated to their team of developers and marketing consultants.

What did you find most impressive about RNF Technologies?

I always appreciate the constant updates and on time delivery of all project goals,  as well as the quality of their work. RNF goes above and beyond to make sure that our projects succeed.

Are there any areas where RNF Technologies could improve? 

There is some employee turnover, so they could try harder to keep their best employees. We had a turnover to a new project manager, which led to a bit of delay in consistency and quality of our SEO projects and development.

MP2 Energy is based in The Woodlands, TX and serves customers in Texas and the Northeast to Mid-Atlantic states. MP2 generates electricity, manages large commercial electric loads, and provides retail electric services to commercial, industrial, and residential customers. I have worked with MP2 Energy since February 2009 and have held the position of IT Director since January 2011. I currently manage all IT and communications infrastructure, business continuity, security, and related vendors.

What overall challenge were you trying to address with RNF Technologies?

MP2 Energy has a subscriber web portal at http://portal.mp2energy.com, originally developed in 2009 with a mixture of PHP, JavaScript, and JSP. When we engaged RNF technologies, the goal was to unify the codebase into a single technology and framework and to make the site responsive and browser-agnostic. 

SOLUTION

What did the project scope entail?

RNF duplicated the existing portal functionality using a PHP framework and added additional functionality such as subscriber profile modifications and AJAX-based dynamic data updates.

How did you come to work with RNF Technologies?

I received a call from an RNF sales rep in February 2015, right at the time we were developing the requirements for revamping the web portal. RNF was evaluated, along with 2 other local web-development firms, and compared against the logistics of in-house development. In the end, the greatest value seemed to come from RNF, so they were given the opportunity to develop the first phase of the web portal additions.

Approximately how much have you invested with them?

It has been over a year since our last engagement with RNF, but I believe the total project length was about 5 months, and during that time we spent approximately $30,000 with RNF.

What is the status of this engagement?

RNF completed the initial phase of our GRID portal improvements in September 2015. There are additional modifications and enhancements that are under consideration, in which case RNF would be invited to quote and participate.

Could you share any evidence that demonstrates their quality of work or the impact of the engagement on your company?

RNF met the project specifications on time and within the quoted budget. After the updates were rolled out, we received several positive comments about the improvements from the portal subscribers.

How did RNF Technologies perform in terms of project management specifically?

The project was managed well, communicated effectively, and completed within the timeframe required.

What did you find most impressive about them?

The project did not go over budget, and project managers were flexible with meeting times.

Are there any areas of improvement?

It seemed that there was a slight delay in development progress when the particular PHP framework was changed mid-stream. I believe this was due to some developer resource changes, and I felt it would have been better to stick with the original framework through the completion of the first phase.

We are Apparel Expressions. We are a full-service uniform company. I am the sales and marketing manager. I oversee all marketing efforts, including print and online.

I needed a good website that would allow customization of uniforms based on logos provided via customer upload. This site also accommodated over 30,000 products.

What was the scope of their involvement?

They provided a solution that included a well thought-out plan with the desired functions, including user uploaded image manipulation and an awesome design to go along with it.

I worked with RNF Technologies on previous marketing efforts.

We spent a total of $60,000.

What is the status of this engagement?

I don't remember exactly when we started, but we are currently scheduled to finish this product next month. I have plans for upgrades to this site.

Could you share any evidence that would demonstrate the productivity, quality of work, or the impact of the engagement?

The most notable achievement to me is the communication that this company has. I have worked with many companies in the past, but these guys are always on top of the job. Consistent communication has helped this project run smoothly.

Again, I cannot stress the quality of communication that helped keep this project moving forward.
