I am the CTO of a Food and Beverage manufacturing company. We are the largest vertically integrated organic food company in Europe.

For what projects/services did your company hire Rimti?

We needed to create a mobile app for farmers, so we decided to build UX/UI prototype before developing an app.

How did you select this vendor?

I worked with Rimti few years ago and they delivered UX/UI prototype. Then I selected them for methodology and process they use to achieve results and during the project they even exceeded our expectations and we were satisfied with project results. So when similar project came on the table I knew whom to call.

Describe the project in detail and walk through the stages of the project.

We started defining user personas, to understand users who will be using the app. Then we analyzed processes what we expect from users to do in the app. Performed market research. Then started to build user experience by analyzing what information is important at what step and how to make app intuitive and easy to use, by asking user interactions only in places we need to. After multiple UX prototype phases we moved to UI phase and started iterating there until we were happy with final result.

I was working with Povilas and Vilius, they were representing the team which were working on the project. They have good listening skills, understands business needs, marketing needs and communicate well.

Can you share any outcomes from the project that demonstrate progress or success?

Prototype was good way to validate ideas without spending money for software engineers. As a team we came to same vision what app should do, what user should do, how other systems (behind mobile app) should be modified to adapt to new mobile app. Currently we are going through procurement process to select a vendor and convert this prototype to real application which will be used by our farmers.

How effective was the workflow between your team and theirs?

All project was implemented remotely, communicating through video meetings and e-mails. We had a project plan what and when to expect. After each meeting we knew which team what kind of home works have to do and when the next meeting will take place. Some review meeting we had in smaller groups to get first impressions and feedback before showing it to wider group of stakeholders.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Professionalism which leads to good results. What I mean they will walk you through the process of building a good user experience. What was impressive that their feedback was always measured and had solid arguments. Funny thing: I received multiple good feedbacks about UX/UI of our app from other companies which participated in procurement process of app development, but each company have their own UX/UI team and provide such services.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

I can't think of any improvement at this time.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic we started to look into new areas and thus developed of mobile, virtual guide have started. For this reason company "Rimti" was hired to help develop whole mobile application brand. We provided ideas, potential name and everything else was developed by "Rimti" team. At the end we got Tripsolo mobile app brand.

We had open selection. At the end we had 3 potential companies and finally Rimti offered best price and solution offer.

Project went from idea developed, we provided initial idea, name and everything else was developed by Rimti. Developed was back and forth, but at the end mobile application brand was created. After that all other graphic development was carried out.

I contacted at least with 3 people. Maybe there were more.

Everything was really great! Whole branding seams interesting and amazing. We like whole look of "Tripsolo"mobile application.

Style was great too. We had constant contacts, development was ongoing and we reach final results, which everyone was happy.

The job was completed in multiple stages, and the project management was very professional. They were always responsive to my needs and they provided us with tips and advice that worked. The project was completed with a slight delay, but this was largely due to our late response.

I don’t know the internal team composition for handling this task. From our end an animator, project leader and UX/UI designer.

We had a prior collaboration and it was natural to use Rimti for this task as we have always been satisfied with their deliveries and they had prior knowledge of the product and company.

This task is completed but we continue our collaboration with Rimti to solve other tasks.
