We needed web development and QA testing support.

We had to design a website for a university. My own internal team worked on the designs and ran them by rgbcode to confirm that they were valid and that the functionality was correct. We were in step with them throughout the design process, even though they weren't necessarily contracted for that.

Once the designs were approved, the rgbeam put together some technical planning documents, sprint plans, functional requirements, and a build guide. Once we had the plans in place, we utilized Jira as our ticketing management system and used WordPress as the platform for the site. 

We broke the project into distinct sprints, and we’re currently in the final round of user acceptance testing. The goal is for rgbcode to handle maintenance and security updates for the site as well. We also might be doing some phase two enhancements with them, but those are to be determined.

I've been with the company for three years, and I know that rgbcode has worked with them for at least a year prior to that.

We started working together in February 2022, and the engagement is ongoing.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

rgbcode came in 15% under budget and about a week ahead of their timeline. Besides that, we don’t have any other metrics that we can share because the site is still in its infancy. However, I can tell you that our client is very satisfied with rgbcode’s services.

How did rgbcode perform from a project management standpoint?

rgbcode has performed well in terms of project management. We broke the project into distinct sprints, so we had to fast-track a lot of the work. rgbcode has been great at helping us stay on schedule. 

We primarily communicate through email and Slack, and we use Google Docs for documentation.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re most impressed with rgbcode’s excellent communication. They almost always got back to us within a matter of minutes. They would even get back to us on weekends.

Are there any areas they could improve?

No, I honestly can’t think of anything that they could improve.

When I joined the company, they were already working with us in a different business unit and were highly regarded.

All the websites they are developing and maintaining have improved in page speed performance and the capabilities they added to our sites have helped us increase user engagement and visibility.

They manage the project well with a high degree of accuracy. They’re very proactive when it comes to responding and resolving technical issues and concerns.

What did you find most impressive about them?

We’re very impressed with their professionalism and development knowledge. They are so involved and care about the projects that it feels as if we have an in-house development team.

They have a "Can Do" attitude and great working relations with our team of PMs.

I can’t think of anything they could improve on.

You'll need to give your 110% to match what they will give your projects. I highly recommend rgbcode for their web development expertise and experience.

I am the founder of iStolar, a web development company.

We needed their help in building WordPress websites for several big projects.

What was the scope of their involvement?

We worked with rgbcode on developing WordPress websites. One of our bigger projects was to work on three world-leading content web portals, during which they handled most of the backend work using various technologies. Moreover,  they shared a lot of advice regarding the architecture and planning. We also worked together on some smaller projects during this engagement.

We were searching for reliable WordPress subcontractors, and then came across their company on Facebook. We decided to go with them after having interviews.

We spent around $3,000–$5,000 per month, so the total was around $100,000.

We worked with them for two years, from October 2019–October 2021.

What evidence can you share that demonstrates the impact of the engagement?

We don’t know how rgbcode did it, but the end results that we received were impeccable; we had never worked with many subcontractors with a high success rate. Overall, they were probably the best subcontractors I had ever worked with.

How did rgbcode perform from a project management standpoint?

They did exceptionally well in this regard; they were always on time for meetings, and their time estimations were accurate. Moreover, they provided outputs fast without any unnecessary discussions, unless they had a vision of things that they wanted to share with us.

We used Jira for project management and time reporting. They had their own internal time management reporting software as well, but we always got their reports through Jira.

What did you find most impressive about them?

They did great work and there weren’t too many rejections when it came to the code that they submitted. Furthermore, they were very agile in the sense that they grasped the needs of the client quickly, allowing them to ensure excellent results.

Whenever there were problems, they always knew how to overcome them. For instance, there were a few times when we asked them to use certain technologies that they didn’t have access to or had prior knowledge of, forcing us to change some of our decisions. A few weeks later, they came back with all the necessary knowledge and know-how.

Are there any areas they could improve?

We didn’t spot any weak points.

Be very concise and transparent when describing your needs to Kirill and his team.

I hired rgbcode to maintain and upgrade my company's website, including creating widgets and subdomains as well as for marketing, automating, and other relevant projects.

I tested several vendors, but I selected rgbcode for several reasons. First, they quickly developed an in-depth understanding of our platform and their responsibilities of the work scope. They also aligned their priorities with my needs and soon became motivated and dedicated members of my team.

The scope of work included a weekly meeting to discuss the challenges, go over the analytics and make sure they were fine, break down tasks and review the budget. They also made themselves available whenever I needed their services. Regarding the deliverables, as the website is my business, the fact that it is running consistently shows their ability to deliver. In addition to site maintenance, they created new sections, fixed bugs, optimized the speed.

Kirill - CEO - was working with me. Michael - Project Manager - did most of the execution on the site. In addition to our weekly meetings, we were also in constant communication via WhatsApp. They worked with WordPress, CSS, HTML 5, and other technologies.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Everything on the site is working - and working well and consistently. Whenever I needed to reach them, they were available - and any changes to the site that were needed were made immediately, with improvements seen on the spot. Any integrations that were needed, they studied and implemented perfectly. The website is working and remains profitable, which attests to their professionalism.

Aside from our weekly meetings, we are in constant communication via WhatsApp. Any changes to the site were made immediately. They are always available to talk to either me or to talk to other vendors.

They are very professional, amicable, and knowledgeable. They understand what's at stake and are motivated to help me succeed.

Our relationship has lasted for more than 4 years. We understand each other and have an excellent working relationship.

My company very kindly gave me a budget to build a website and tool to help users find the best odds on bet builders - multiple bets on the same game. Having worked with rgbcode before, I knew that Kirill and his team would be able to provide the bespoke solution I was looking for.

In the initial stages of working with rgbcode on this project, I presented them with the idea. They returned to me with an outline plan and we worked on the proof of concept together.

First we had to make a proof of concept with three API feeds. One was from a data provider, the other two were from bookmaker APIs. RGBcode have extensive experience with APIs and we tested quite a few before getting to the stage where we had two working to compare. As well as the data feed.

From there, we added more APIs and by the end of the proof of concept stage, we had two more working, with numerous others in the pipeline.

We worked alongside a very professional and experienced project manager, who essentially attended to our every need. Kirill oversaw her work and that of two developers as well, who did the core work on the project.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Ultimately, rgbcode provided a solution for a tool that is unique in the market. This was a successful partnership and confirmed what a great company they are. rgbcode proved their ability to simply make ideas happen.

We had regular meetings with the project manager, who continually kept us up to date with progress. In addition, when we had any timely issues to fix, she was always available, across email, WhatsApp etc. to attend to all our needs.

The most unique part of the company is that you can explain what you want, in a non technical manner, and they will not only provide the solution, but look to go beyond it.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

Ultimately, they produced exactly what we needed. I just wish we had a bigger budget to utilise more of their developers.

WhileFly provides solution for low-cost airlines. We provide hardware that passengers can connect their mobile phone and tablet and enjoy hundreds of hours of entertainment such as movies, games, and information about their destination.

OPPORTUNITY / CHALLENGE

For what projects/services did your company hire rgbcode, and what were your goals?

We need a global, super fast management system to identify the airplanes landing short slots and push new content to the servers. IT had to be sync with the frequent schedule change and run on a very low power hardware, yet to satisfied more than 300 passengers using such a small hardware at the same time.

SOLUTION

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

RGB were very innovative. They offered a very unique technology that were using the benefit of "close garden" to enable a very fast response for each user's mobile request and actually changed the way an html page is being presented. This enable us to massively reduce power consumption and break the limit of 50 user at the same time that all our competitors are still facing.

It has all started from the architecture lead by Kiril and contribute with more ideas of his team. We used Wordpress but we far way push it to the limit. We found that we could do amazing thing using this CMS platform that have shorten the time but still be able to become flexible to our very unique needs.

We split the work of the management server which could use high power amazon computing resources while the solution of pushing to our onboard server was a text based and reflected a regular website while it was far from being as such.

4 developeres were working full time. Another half day Devop who support us. In some cases, we were using outsource capability.

WhileFly developed the world fastest server in aircraft that can serve more than 300 passengers at the same time. you can read this article about whileFly in one of the most known magazine of this industry.

Kiril is the creative guy and the manager. Most communication was directly with him. He was responsible for the project management and the architecture. Along to Kiril, he had his team leader developer which lead the development team. Most of the work was via slack and skype where needed. We used video conference when we needed a thinking group while all other were summarized as MRD which keep involved by us over the time.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

I think that Kiril is far from being a regular sub-contractor. He is a care person, understand love and contribute to the project, and many times I felt he was part of the founders. They suggested new ideas that helped us elevate the final product.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

ha hah ha... for sure, Bring more people :-) As a startup manager you always keen to finish the project yesterday. We started with 2 developer and fast enough went to 4. But in fact we could use even more. Availability of developer is something that takes time and were were pushing the limits. Kiril tried to help as he could but he also had to hire and train more people to satisfy us.
