For what projects/services did your company hire ReSymbio, and what were your goals?

We hired ReSymbio to create a web platform that will enable us to conduct a conference in a hybrid and online model.

How did you select this vendor and what were the deciding factors?

We sent an inquiry to a number of IT companies. We received several bids in a similar price range to those of ReSymbio. We decided to choose Resymbio's offer because of their customer approach, willingness to learn about the industry and understanding of the subject. Also of great importance was the quick turnaround time.

Describe the scope of work in detail, including the project steps, key deliverables, and technologies used.

The project was implemented at a fast pace - due to the pandemic. We knew what we wanted to achieve, but we didn't have clear expectations about the form of the solution. It's hard to talk about steps - the project was implemented almost continuously.

Every day we met for 5-10 minutes to discuss the current work. In addition, twice a week we met to summarize the part of the work that was done and plan the work for the next week. For technological issues, we relied on the vendor. PHP and javascript was chosen.

How many people from the vendor's team worked with you, and what were their positions?

Team of 5 people including PM, 2 developers, graphic designer and tester.

Can you share any measurable outcomes of the project or general feedback about the deliverables?

Since the launch of the platform, we have conducted eight live events, all of which were held with ReSymbio technical support. Thanks to this solution we were able to operate during lockdowns in Covid-19 pandemic. In financial terms, the platform paid for itself after the 3rd event.

Describe their project management style, including communication tools and timeliness.

Success was guaranteed by very good communication. Daily meetings. We communicated via Slack (which they implemented in our company and we still use it to this day) and Zoom (for daily meetings). Internally they used the Jira tool on which they presented tasks, completion times and deadlines.

What did you find most impressive or unique about this company?

Analytical and problem solving skills. Any time when there was some issue with the platform during the testing phase they were always looking for the root cause of it and were able to find the solution without causing delays.

Are there any areas for improvement or something they could have done differently?

No, for me everything was just as we needed it.

Describe the scope of work in detail. Please include a summary of key deliverables.

The subject of the project was to develop a significantly improved service of remote laboratory classes dedicated to adult students. The platform is equipped with the remote communication functions: chat, vision and audio, wide plan camera, detail camera, vision of the computer screen connected to the research equipment.

The innovation of the developed solution concerns the possibility of conducting training, which, due to its specificity, the materials used and specialized equipment, had to be conducted stationary.

The situation related to the COVID-19 pandemic, restrictions and concern for the health of RIC Pro-Akademia students and employees forced us to find a solution that combines the implemented distance-keeping procedures, remote work - if possible, with the possibility of transferring specialist, industry knowledge, using specialized equipment, software and materials in the form of reagents, samples/preparations.

The most important result of the project was a significantly improved service - online practical training for adults and its sale by RIC Pro-Akademia, which contributes to pandemic resistance and increased revenues.

In my experience, the project team focused on ensuring the products were delivered on time. Delivering products on time was a priority, and the team regularly reviewed progress, adjusting the project plan as necessary. The methods used allowed us to be flexible and quickly respond to changes, which was crucial to the success of the project. In terms of responding to needs, the project team was very open to communication. Regular meetings helped identify and solve any problems.

The cooperation was effective, and any needs or suggestions were taken into account and considered in a constructive manner. Overall, the project management was effective and the products were delivered as planned. The team demonstrated professionalism and readiness to adapt to changing conditions, which contributed to achieving the intended project goals.
