I identified the top 10 market research companies in the GCC listed here in Clutch, and contacted them. I received several proposals, and selected RK because they are a boutique firm that was best fit for my startup.

I had several meetings with RK to discuss my project goals and objectives behind the market study. They came back with a detailed proposal and a research strategy recommendation that is best for my project.

Once initiated, we had several rounds to review the survey questionnaire until it was perfect to capture all the data I needed. We had continuous reviews at each stage of the study. RK team was very flexible to accomodate my comments and requests. We had fewer rounds to review the final deliverables that I was happy with.

The team was led by the 'Waqas' (MD), and he was involved in addressing all my comments. The team consisted of 10 members (survey design/ data analysis/ field work team/ translation)

Research Konnection was approached to carry out market research in order to obtain a licence from the ministry. Research Konnection carried out all aspect of the market research from the study to costing and finding the current competitors in the market.

To understand whether there is demand for the business. For the ministry to understand the need to care for the mental health in children. To understand the cost required to start up a centre.

How did you select this vendor?

It took numerous calls included a trip to Dubai to finalise and select Research Konnection. What made me finalise RK over any other market research company was the sheer passion shown by Waqas and how clearly planned he was about my project.

Mindfulness for children. A number of strategies and therapies to help children deal with stress, depression and anxiety.

What was the team composition?

Waqas took lead on all areas and was very forthcoming to answer any questions I had. I was introduced to other members of the team and what role they played which help understand my project in more detail.

Within 3 months Waqas and his team had completed my study sample of parents, teachers and children including all the market research. Waqas let me know every time something was complete and kept me informed throughout.

I did an online search. I reached out to a handful of companies, most of which were quick to throw out a high price for the project before even hearing the scope. When I called Research Konnection, I was met with professionalism from the owner, who really listened to me. The flexibility of price also made it affordable for me.

They kept me apprised of everything throughout the project. They met, and exceeded, my expectations. I’m happy with the results of working with them. For example, as a result of their work, I found a shared office space, and I’m surrounded by other business owners that are very similar to myself.

They did a good job. They finished the job within the estimated timeline. We spoke at least twice a week, but more often if there were updates to be given. The communication was excellent. 

What did you find most impressive about them?

I was impressed with the way they listened to me and discussed the project from the start. They don’t turn down a project unless they’re 100% sure they can’t do it. They delivered exactly what they promised, and more.

Are there any areas they could improve?

I would’ve liked to be involved in the actual surveys, but I understood their reasoning for not allowing it.

Be very clear and open about your company, and your project. Include everything, even details that seem unimportant.
